    Breaking news: Zelensky will receive the Nobel Prize in physics for this year. He and his generals staff managed to invent a new kind of quantum entity called Schrödinger's Offensive. The offensive is successful and failure at the same time, since the result of its fate is linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur in our hearts.

      I had the imprudence to write about the “Schrödinger counter-offensive” at the beginning of summer on Denis Davydov’s channel.
      Without overwhelming air and artillery superiority, the superposition of success will depend on the state/presence of the MSM observer and can be both a successful defeat and an unsuccessful victory.
      His admirers threw me under the bus. 🤣
      And they still see the success of the offensive.

      From how it looks to me, this whole war is being used by NATO as an oppertunity to deplete Russia by sacrificing Ukrainians. The EU and NATO both only seem to be giving them enough to keep fighting, but never enough to acually achieve some sort of "victory". Not to mention they wont give them weapons without promises they wont use them outside of Ukraine... So basically, only if they are using to blow up their own cities and infrastructure...

      @bloodmoon5872 about Russian special operation failure in Ukraine

  • @nekko5778
    @nekko5778 Год назад +1743

    So, let's summarize: In Severodonetsk, Ukrainian forces found themselves stuck in a cauldron with a tiny exit, constantly bombarded by Russia with all types of weapons. They had the brilliant idea to send in units to hold the territory, and predictably, these units lost half of their men just getting to their positions, got hammered at those positions, couldn't be properly resupplied, and had to rotate out, taking casualties in the process. To add to the hilarity, they then filled the unit with conscripts who had less than a week of training and repeated the same routine.
    Then, in Bakhmut, Ukraine experienced déjà vu, as they once again ended up in a cauldron with a tiny exit, enduring a relentless assault from Russian forces. Of course, they repeated the same hilarious routine-sending troops, who predictably got annihilated both on their way to the positions and while at the positions. Proper resupply remained elusive, and they had to retreat, taking even more casualties.
    Now, in the grand finale, Ukraine is stuck in yet another cauldron with a tiny exit, as Russian forces continue their non-stop bombardment. They've decided to keep the humor alive by desperately throwing in unit after unit, resulting in casualties on the way to their positions and even at the positions themselves. Facing challenges in proper resupply, they're forced to retreat, taking even more casualties.
    What an absolutely side-splitting use of my tax money and Ukrainian lives, isn't it? xDD

      It's just sad that this has become a bit of a mouthpiece for Russia. It's easily discredited in the obvious rationalisation that we all knew failure was a possibility because Ukraine is a much smaller country fighting a much bigger neighbouring country that continually escalated the conflict with fresh recruits, constants budgetary increases etc. The truth is that any success is proof that they have the ability to hurt and stop Russia. Lets be honest, this war started with Russia thinking they could conquer all of Ukraine in a few days and are now here several years later, that's a monumentally larger failure no?
      Now Ukraine is hitting back, regardless of the speed they are accepting this is a necessity and a constant war to defend their own territory based on repeated Russian aggression. The real question is how long can Russia fall behind economically compared to the rest of the world? Between the decline in the ruble, sanctions, international isolation and constant spending on war there is no real victory in sight for Russia. Every day they spend in Ukraine is a prolonging of the bleeding of their own economy. They may be able to weather it on the surface but the long term damage to their economy compared to where it could have been is going to be utterly ridiculous. It's not just economy either, how many tanks, ships, ammunition, equipment and soldiers have we seen Russia lose? Hell, it's a damaging war for both sides but Russia will not be the power it wished to be for a god damn long time now. Europe and Nato are so unafraid that they keep to their own sides and just carry on as normal, for us Europeans it's just background noise now sadly. I wish the Ukrainians the best but sad to see this youtuber be a bit too pro russian in this case and lose perspective of how badly Russia failed in it's entire goals. That comparison would put a delayed spring offensive into perspective.

If we take BBC´s and Mediazona numbers, that point to 33k russian dead (plus the 15k Wagner dead) then the russians have lost around 50k dead. This means that NATO already knows that Ukraine suffered upwards of 450k DEAD! This is more than the US lost in WW2, or the british lost, in that same war! This isn´t just disastrous, this is slaughter of epic proportions. For over a year Ukraine has been constantly attacking a dug in force, that has a 10 to 1 artillery advantage. It is just insane how anyone could expect any other result!! Ukraine is now conscripting women, young boys, and sick men! This is a throwback to Germany 1945, and no one seems to care! In fact, this area near Rabotino is not oversaturated with soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is not Bakhmut before his fall. It's a flat field, as you can see in the video. There are no natural shelters on it. There are hills there, but they remain behind the Russian army. The ridge of hills with the first line of defense was overcome only in one place. In the direction of the Verbovogo. If you look at the elevation map, you will see the gap between the hills. And to climb into this gap was simply suicide. But we are dealing with an army that sends its special forces units to Crimea by boat for the sake of a photo of the Ukrainian flag on the Crimean beach. Knowing that these detachments will be destroyed in the Crimea or if they try to return. For them, the preferred tactic is to fall into an obvious trap. On a flat field, any accumulation of APU is visible, and it is immediately destroyed. The area near Rabotino is not oversaturated with soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, if we are not talking about their corpses.
    What can be said about the villages occupied by the APU during the counteroffensive. The APU aspired there, thinking that the villages would become fortifications for them. Theoretically, you can also hide in bomb craters. But it doesn't help much from new bombs. They put mines there so they won't be kicked out. Those who plant mines die under artillery fire. A new unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being sent there, and it is being blown up by these mines. And the artillery is working on them again.
    The good safety of armored vehicles in some units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is also explained by the fact that they quickly realized that it was useless to send armored vehicles there. The fact is that sending soldiers there without armored vehicles is all the more useless. They refuse to understand until now. It will be one of those places where at every step you stumble upon human bones.

    • @RPcropland

      Its the terrain that matters. The important parts of Rabotino are still under Russian control. Thus the only area Russians allowed their enemy are the open areas. While the buildings within the hamlet itself are overlooked by sheer cliff. To hold this meager defensive position it required constant commitment of personnel from Ukraine creating a killing field. If Ukrainians actually took the whole province then Robotino would have been a very strategic victory thus it was important! However we can see they failed to capture this high ground and so the capture of the hamlet itself indeed seems as irrelevant as you say. Simply put it would matter but even in Robotino they failed the objective.

So Russia is so stressed about Ukraine's progress against Russian defences that it's crews shot down 2 of their best fighter / attack aircraft. I’m sure he will use the same language about the Russian’s Avdiivka offensive being a total disaster and about how their men from the top command all the way down to men on the front line being incompetent morons because he is completely unbiased and only reports the truth. It’s Pretty easy to calculate how much losses are taken. It’s all based on fire power. Most casualties in this war are taken from artillery/mortars/MLRS systems, about 80%. And Russia has a massive advantage in all of that. Some sectors 1/4 and others 1/10 let’s take the average of 1/7. If we use BBC mediazona numbers of Russias confirmed losses. Russia has lost 30k Kia through out this war(not including wounded) multiply that with the artillery advantage of Russia and you should get a rough estimate of Ukrainian losses since the start of the war. 210k Ukrainian Kia.
      It would also explain why Ukraine is desperate to drag people off the streets to throw them in a ditch a month later to die to a enemy they can’t see.
      Let’s also take into account unconfirmed deaths. Which both sides have. Because people go missing or are unidentifiable corpses. There is a greater amount of dead than what I wrote. I’d say there are about 50k-60k Kia Russians and 250k-280k Kia Ukrainians.
      Ether way Ukraine is fucked. Russia has a larger reserve of troops they haven’t even used yet that they mobilized (300k) and got volunteer contractors(200k) in the last year that are still in the rear training to go on an offensive in the unknown future. Meanwhile Ukraine is struggling to reconstitute a division that isn’t made of forcibly mobilized.

    • @yannickl92
      @yannickl92 Год назад

      @@TEXASRUSKIsorry but the figures you are mention are basically not possible. Best to calculate losses is to compare with other wars. Ukrainian field army has a nominal strength of about 500K, based on numbers of brigades, and maybe 50-60 percent are combat troops. In total maybe a million Ukrainian men have been drafted. 210K KIA is about the half of their nominal strength and that just sounds unrealistic. That is from relative perspective much more than the losses of French army during the first 18 months of WW1. And we all know that France suffered terrible losses in the beginning of ww1. Even the Werhmacht didn't had proportionally such losses during the first 18 months on the Eastern front. And we are talking about Moscow, the first battles in Stalingrad, the siege of Sevastopol...I think 70K Ukrainian KIA is a realistic figure and Russian losses should be around 100k KIA.

    • @yannickl92

    At first, Ukraine tried NATO style assaults with columns of vehicles. That failed because of mines, artillery, drones and ATGMs. Then they switched to infantry waves or assault squads. It's easier to cover up losses this way but they still couldn't advance. Then they announced they'll be trying to grind up Russian artillery capabilities. But the extensive use of artillery caused them to lose more precious artillery pieces so near the end of July/beginning of August they switched back to the meat assaults again.
    This method spares the vehicles (which Alex talked about regarding one specific brigade's losses) but it comes at a higher price regarding human losses.
    The lack of spare parts should also be considered. According to Ukrainian sources, around 1/3 of their artillery pieces are under maintenance at all times because of their extensive use. This obviously comes with benefits and disadvantages. But having a large portion of vehicles destroyed basically stops you from cannibalising the damaged ones for spare parts for the working fleet. And NATO supplied a lot of trash vehicles that were not usable before so they were only good for spare parts but they're counted as active units. For example, if a country announces they'll send Ukraine 100 units of a specific vehicle from storage, most or some of them won't be in working condition so Ukraine can't actually use all 100 of these vehicles. One example is I think the Netherlands bringing out leopard 1 tanks from museums.
