The song is so "insubstantial" that not only did it win Sanremo and go double platinum in Italy but it also won an award for best musical composition and one for the lyrics, which are much deeper and more complicated than the rhythm of the song makes you think. But maybe a RUclipsr understands more about music than expert professional musicians who have played all over the world and have decades of experience, nothing in this world surprises me anymore…🙄
I don't know what "experts" have thought about this. I'm reacting to the songs without knowing anything about them, so I'm totally impartial and not affected by other people's opinions. Even if they're "experts" who give composition awards to songs that sound like someone tried to write a 3-minute medley of totally different songs that he coundn't pick one of them to send to the Sanremo festival. As for the lyrics - having deep lyrics doesn't make up for annoying musical shenanigans.

What are these musical criteria that you adopt to obtain this relationship when carrying out your music criticism?
Musical analysis is usually done by reading the score, and since here on RUclips, those who delight in producing these "reactions" don't have the score, there is nothing left to do but listen to a piece.
Normally, you listen to a song - at least on the first listen - from beginning to end.
You cannot interrupt a piece of pop music, and above all you cannot do it when you have had difficulty identifying an intro, a chorus, or refrain based on an evidently preconceived musical form.
Breaking a piece of pop music like this would destroy any production. From the most historically valid and famous ones to the most banal contemporary ones that are so popular today.

I completely agree with @lo8393 comment. Come on, you may not like the song (this is a personal taste) but saying that is a lazy song makes this video reaction a complete non sense! This song has so many arrangements and mix of musical cultures. Additionally if you study a bit the lyric you will discover that it got also a deep meaning. Angelina with this song will go far into the Eurovision competition!

You may like or dislike the song but whatever song you would have listened to, your comment would have been the same because it is clear that you are a hater of Italy, a prejudiced reaction, already five seconds into the song you were criticizing with pre-thought words. The song has a deep meaning and your reaction makes no sense.
So you know what I think about Italy just from my opinion about 2 songs? You should be aware I thought if Italy made Sanremo Festival its national selection for Eurovision 3 years earlier Emma Maronne would have won the 2012 contest with "Non È L'Inferno". I also LOVED the 2013, 2015, 2022 and 2023 entries.

the composer of the Song Is dardust, the of the most famous composer in Europe and the complex and deep lyrics Is from madame, songwriter and Singer in Italy. For me personally this Song Is pure Energy, etnic and also so hispanic and italian, with rap abd slow monent with beautiful vocal, a fantastic Summer sound, but also Classic and new! One of the best song for eurovision this years and in fact is one of the favourite to win and another point is That italian language us pure magic. I prefer particular and peculiar song over pop english music like the rest of the song in eurovision like the greek one that i adore❤. The jury i think will love this song and the public absolute adore this, probably she will also have backgrond dancer.

He clearly is so busy looking for things to dislike, that he even starts imagining things. “Siesta”, lol. This has got to be the most biased and disingeneous reaction video I have ever seen.
You used offensive words for your reaction, you may not like the song but tone it down.
You have a wrong perception abroad, if it's not a ballad but something different you say it's not Italian.
This song has the Italian style of traditional southern Italian dances with a mixture of Italian, Baltic and Latin sounds.
It's not a light, meaningless song, it has a meaning that I'll explain to you even if you still don't like it.
The meaning of the song is autobiographical, she says she carries her traumas with her (she lost her father when she was 13, he was a famous Italian singer who died of a heart attack in one of his concerts) the suffering makes you appreciate the joys more . You have to accept the ups and downs of life and you fight boredom as suffering by always remaining active, you have to use those moments in a positive way even just to reflect on your life and not remain passive to depress yourself, hence the cumbia dance of noia (boredom) it's like an invitation to a party to always look for something that makes us feel good.

See? How can you say this song is banal when it fooled you into thinking twice about the chorus? There are 2 "choruses" and the structure is UNUSUAL and full of dynamics and nuances and stops and goes and rapping and singing a cappella (the only one of the lot) - I think you had prejudices even before the first note - the comment about "italians doing senseless at ESC..." tells the whole story.
If I was prejudiced against Italy I would have said the 'senseless' part BEFORE I listened to the song, like I did with Finland. Look in my previous comments; I LOVED about 50% of the Italian entries in the last decade and a half. I just think some have been extremely offputting.
You've mentioned Maneskin and then something like..."since Italy returned to Eurovision they've been doing senseless things?!..." (or similar) - clearly you had some prejudices before listening to La Noia (you sense Angelina can get more votes than your lady from Israel? is that what bothers you? Subconscious envy?
Then...what was "senseless" about Mengoni's last year? or Mahmood and Blanco? 2 mainstream ballads (like many others Italian ballads - like other ballads)...apart from Maneskin - Italy' entries seems to me kind of middle of the road mainstream away from the excesses of many other countries.
Your contradictions contiunue - this song is Lazy?! It's one of the busiest around (Nemo is unbeatable but Italy come close) - one criticism from others (accepted) is she sings too much - the most energetic song and you describe it as "Lazy"?
The song is "banal" - but you missed it had 2 choruses and 2 intros and maybe more if you like dissecting - you've missed so much about this performance I feel a bit sorry for you.

I don't understand why you say that. I SAID she's a great singer. We agree on that. The quality of the song is what bothers me. She deserves a better one.
After a very quick glimpse of your videos it seems you don't like 85% of Eurovision songs....why do you bother? Why inflicting yourself such a painful experience? If you are unable to enjoy and grasp the many nuances from Angelina (probably the most organic and natural or the lot) just leave it or at least try to regurgitate your criticism as subjective not as a standard.

May I ask what do you mean by musical values? Have you studied music? Someone in the field wouldn't use terms like "banal" or "senseless". So if you don't know how to express your criticism in musical terms don't use the term "music" or "musical" or similar....you don't have to be an expert...just don't smuggle yourself for one.

@@yairmohr I also respect your opinion and honestly there is no longer this strong interest in the Italian population for Esc, some don't even know what happened for us, the most important event is Sanremo and our biggest event! Then, if Angelina is understood and liked, I'm happy, in the end it was a more beautiful one, difficult to be understood in her native language. But for what I can say is that I recognize Angelina, a great technique, it's just a simple song to sing and then I love Dardust One of the best in musical compositions for many artists. He's done crazy backing tracks and he always wins awards, I respect him a lot. Then the genres are either liked or not, that's subjective

Like I said multiple times, the lyrics don't matter. I listen to the music. And how do you call the parts of this song that are just 1 note (or less, in the rap part)? It's a cacophony created by people who tried to mix too many different things in 3 minutes. It's just bad.

With a cumbia type of music you need to leave space to music which may sound chaotic. With the line "la noia" repeated multiple times, the song gives space to the music. When she sings she goes from rapping style to pop singing in seconds and in the entire song she doesn't have much time to breathe. The lines she raps are also on multiple notes, it's not the same note because the song is lazy.
I think they did an amazing job to put together cumbia, rap, pop singing in the style from Naples. And the format is modern and radio friendly. Singing like Withney would be great if we were still in the 80s or 90s. You need something different today and this song brings together tradition and modern music

we are from south of italy and music has connections with this. Especially the guitar.
The verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus pattern is the building block of almost all pop music, however now many composers make an effort to unshackle from that traditional pattern, in order to find new ways to express their art. One may like it or not, and it's perfectly fine to dislike a song, but saying that it's lazy shows a lack of understanding of what's involved in composing music, it's far easier to stick to the beaten path than to find new trails.

Another reaction that reeks of stupidity.
1. Many bad songs are "worldwide-loved" (remember Gangnam Style?). It doesn't make them good, just shows you most people are not looking for quality.
2. If I can't say anything about this song because it's the judges' job (What about the televote? Should that be cancelled too?), than what the hell gives you the right to pass criticism on my video? That's the RUclips algorythm's job!
3. I already recorded reactions for all of the songs, and published over half of them. Yes, I got hate from many countries, including people in my own country who don't agree with me. I don't care. My job for the last 20 years has been telling the truth, and that's what I'll always do.
