"Only guilty people act nervous"
Local cop has never heard of anxiety
@Thelondonbadger ?
I do have some sort of anxiety. My mom has scared me enough to the point of being a light sleeper. Someone walking outside my door? Door closes? Im half awake already, trying to decide who the hell is up at 2am. Even in daylight, my mom could sneak up on me and say "Hi" and my response is to throw my mouse (for my computer) across the room lmao
@Thelondonbadger what
Local cop has never heard of trauma reactions.
(My father was a cop and he abused the hell out of me. I see cops and get really scared now.)
It's probably just instinctual to chase someone who runs, or wants to run.
“ *COPS* of reddit”
literally every other post
“ When I got pulled over”
Anika Chaturvedi yes but it’s not “When” I got pulled over. It’s “every time I get pulled over”. I’ve just posted a comment about this. As a life time passenger I’ve been in a car twice for RBT stops, different drivers. I have NEVER been in a car thats been stopped for speeding, although a lot should/could have been. What are these people doing?
Anika Chaturvedi and the next if I auto play is “Cops tell what funny illegal thing teenagers do”.. No thanks, I don’t want to listen to 20minutes of a bot reading asinine boasting by teenagers.
Cops have been trained to handle someone who is nervous. Massive diff between criminally nervous and “a cop just pulled me over, oh shit.”
Yeah it's annoying and it's annoying because it happens in every post like
"r/askreddit burglars of reddit how did you get caught?"
And literally 90% off the responses are "not a burglar but my house got broken in once and blah blah...blah blah"
Just annoying

Come on now. Tell the truth. The police are a gang of criminals who have a free pass to harass, violate, beat and even KILL us with absolutely no accountability. Your probably safe tho....but for the majority of the public,
ROCG Gaming He’s right, though. Look up the video of Daniel Shaver. Innocent guy who was lit up while crawling to the cops to be arrested. The murderous officer that shot him, who had the words “you’re fucked” engraved on his gun, was declared not guilty on all accounts:
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Daniel_Shaver
Nicolas Leroux Come on, seriously? The guy was fired, and forced to file for bankruptcy. Did you read the whole article, or just the word "acquitted?" Even if what you were saying had merit, it's just an anecdote. You can't use the actions of one bad cop to make thr blanket statement that law enforcement is the new KGB.
@@nicolasleroux5302 The police aren't perfect but without them the US would pretty much be a lawless place where you could get shot in the street at any moment.

"People come to stores because they want something specific"
I know a lot of people (including me) who go window-shopping just for the sake of it. We are not looking for anything. Not looking to shoplift for sure.
Agreed, I have never stolen in my life, yet I will on occasion just go to the store "Because".
I go to Lowe's all the time, get what I went there for and, then, browse for what else I might like to do in the near future - since getting into and out of my local Lowe's sucks balls if you live North of it.
I always get the "can I help you find something?" guy or the 'overly friendly, talks too much and doesn't leave you alone until you're at the register' lady.
If I go to the grocery store, I often look around to see what I want, not knowing exactly what I'm going to get. If I go to the video game or movie section, I don't even know if I'm going to get anything or not. I'm just looking.
"People come to stores because they want something specific"... then wander around for half an hour trying to find an employee to tell them where it is.
Sometimes I'll go just for a change of scenery. Do a little browsing, do a little people watching, might pick up some munchies while I'm there.
As a reformed criminal, our trick was to just keep walking nonchalantly and very slow while keeping our head up, the cops would never stop us, its the people that put their hands in their pockets, look down, walk faster, that gets spotted.

>cut to me standing in the chips isle for 30 mins picking out which bag I want
The advice was generally wrong. Only first time shoplifters behave suspicious. All the other shoplifters are used to it and don't care about security and also don't look suspicious because they just grab whatever fits inside a pocket or backpack and then take a random item to pay or just leave the store. In fact, many normal customers behave suspicious because they don't exactly know what they want. It's not rare that people walk around the store 15 times to pick up things and put other things back because they can't decide.
Lol.... i remember when i was a kid i had a whole routine planned.... id buy some 5 cent candies and once i was at the register id lean in against the counter and shove as many chocolate bars and gum packs as i could into my sweater pockets lol.... good times
Lol! Yeah, definitely thought this was bad advice seeing I can spend hours browsing in a store.

The part about liars got me, I’ve got some severe anxiety and sometimes that means I just Talk. Way too much. Maybe I should shut up sometimes 😂
Same. My entire lifr i had to prove my innocence from my siblings accusing me of the crap they did. Led to my over explaining.
There was this divorced dad living in our apartment complex, separated from his wife & daughter. One day we're all just sitting around, talking about how we left our families (I'm divorced, too); and, out of the blue, without anybody asking him about his, he just blurts out, "It wasn't anything sexual! I would never do that!" Which made me think it was. Later he asked me what I would do if my daughter caught me masturbating; so, I guess that's what happened to him!
I have adhd and tend to talk a lot. Now I know why people are skeptical of me.

I got lit up by a police helicopter once. I had worked late and was walking the dog after dark. The dog was well trained and I could let her walk off lead. The dog was about thirty feet away from me sniffing the trees on the grounds of a church we were passing when I got lit up by the searchlight. I looked up and gave a sort of half wave, but the light stayed on me. I didn't know who or what they were looking for, but I felt like I needed to establish that I wasn't it, so I pointed at the dog. The searchlight moved off me and onto the dog for a few seconds and then the helicopter left.
So, if you are running from the police and the helicopter is searching for you, have a dog with you.
"The dog was well trained and I could let her walk off lead."
Do the laws where this occurred agree with that statement?
@@shawbros well, a tactical team didn’t rappel down from the helicopter, so dude must be fine
@@shawbros When people hassle me about having my dog off lead, I say, "We're outlaws. You should call 911." In my opinion, I was always training my dog and we were always practicing.
Good advice.
...or just point to any dog nearby.
A cop once said to me that he was surprised by me being so cool around him, that people normally are nervous.

Last time I got pulled over was my first time getting pulled over after getting my CCW, so already nervous. It was 3 am and I got pulled over for a broken taillight (that I was already aware of). By the end of the stop there were 6 squad cars sitting around me, all cops out of the cars. One of the cops ended up asking me why I was nervous. Gee....idk sir. Maybe cause I got pulled over for a broken taillight and there's 6 of you here! After talking to several people about later I realized it was cause it was 3am and they were all likely just bored. Note to law enforcement: I'm sorry you're bored but for the love of Christ, PLEASE DONT DO THIS!
I was a MP, enlisted 4yr. Many times, in rural areas, small towns, low crime areas, deputies or cops will respond. A few times new trainees or field training FTO might want to show them new methods, have contact with the public. New troopers or officers want to see the scenes but not get involved directly.
@Kyle : I bet this was a small town? I know that, generally, more cops than needed show up to a confrontation to get experience (and nothing else important is going on). Weird to do that over a pullover for a minor violation, though.
@@PoochieCollins nope. Middle of a major city. I think the factors at play were that it was 3am and I had my concealed carry on me.
@@kylemcclellan9686 : now I'm curious what city? And, how did the cops know about your CCW? Initial cop got your license and registration, that comes up, then he summons other cops??
@@PoochieCollins when the initial cop pulled me over and asked if I had any weapons in the vehicle I informed him that I was carrying. Then he probably radioed that information when he got back to his car and started running my plate. The second cop was probably sent as back up, then the other 4 probably just heard something along the lines "suspect has concealed carry" and at 3am in what's essentially suburbia, thats probably the most "exciting" thing to hear over the radio. They had nothing better to do.

This happened about a month ago, I was on my way back home from vigil Mass & my transmission gave out going up a hill. There was no shoulder so I pushed it gently into the ditch so it wasn't in the middle of the two lane. My phone was dead, it was cold, & I was twenty miles from home. People stopped to ask me what happened & then would move on, so I decided to hike the twenty miles home. I made it about five miles when lights turned on & a spotlight hit me. I got patted down, consented to a breathalyzer 0.0 & then he drove me back to my car & explained the situation. He called up the dispatch to get the tow truck to get my car, & we ended up having to sit around, smoke, & talk for about an hour or two. Talked about history, my profession, his journey in the force yada yada. Then after the tow truck got my car he gave me a ride home. Apparently the call that someone made to 911 was that I was drunk, crashed, was flagging everyone down, & walking. Only the walking was true, & he said it's irresponsible calls like that that can get people hurt or killed because that makes them paranoid.
"he said it's irresponsible calls like that that can get people hurt or killed because that makes them paranoid."
You should have asked what they do to correct people that make up stories like that.
This is why we need to prosecute 911 callers who make up stories on purpose.
Moral of the story?
Don’t go to church.

When you see a cop and you're not visibly breaking the law, generally just keep doing what you're doing to attract less of their gaze.
The fact that most people feel nervous around cops instead of feeling safe says a lot about cops.
Yeah, but not in the way you are implying. People don't get nervous around cops because cops are malicious, it's because they are law enforcement. By nature, people who enforce laws will be intimidating. The fact that they stop you likely means you have done something wrong, and are facing some sort of consequence. Of course that would make people nervous! I'm tired of people complaining about the officers who keep us safe, seemingly because authority=bad is a popular opinion
@@sethunkefer7674 I think cops have really let the relationship between the police force and the community they serve crumble.

4:18 that doesn't count as reasonable suspicion, just you guys know. Anxiety/fear/etc. does NOT give a cop the right to search you.
And the guy that had the K9 unit for being "lost"? If the cop found anything on him, the guy simply states in court that it was unreasonable search and seizure. Done.
I've been hoping for a reasonable comment like this
What about that woman who was pulled over and attacked for not agreeing to go with the cops just because the cop TOUGHT he smelled something "weird"?
Skipping the fact that cops never get punished in court, the woman was already attacked, the damage was done
they can call a k9 and it doesn't count as searching the vehicle where i'm from. if he dog alerts to something though then they have cause to search
@@geo3826 correct. If the k9 shows up in a "reasonable" time(specifically undefined and vague) it's considered okay. The k9 alerting is cause for a search without consent. Also, when a cop asks if you have "weapons, guns, knives, grenades, nukes in the car" this is on purpose. You get relaxed when he makes the grenade or nuke joke. So you say "nah", then he asks if you mind if he looks? You're slightly off thinking"of course I don't have grenades" so you say "sure." Boom, that is consent to search your vehicle. He can turn it inside out. You have granted permission, even though you meant search for grenades, and not search for literally anything that can be ticketed/arrestable offense.

"Self conscious idiots" right, because no ones ever died from a fidgety cop.
Some people over explain things when they’re talking to someone who lies a lot. People who lie all the time have the hardest time believing anyone because they assume everyone else lies as much as they do. Not everyone who gives too long of an explanation is lying. Sometimes they’re just afraid that you’re not going to believe them because of who you are. They know that some of the things they say can sound far fetch to someone who’s use to making up far fetch lies, and that’s what makes them think the other person won’t believe them.
and some people just try to explain thing because they are your friends and want you to know that they did not forget you (f.e.)
If someone is explaining a lot of detail fast, it's lying unless it happened in the last hours (you forget most details about stuff in a matter of minutes)
If someone tells you something important and suddenly 100% forgets all about it, it was a lie (lies are really easy to forget, since they never actually happened the brain pays little attention to them, the easiest way to bypass this is by believing your own lie)
Overall, the best way to see if someone's lying is by asking an unrelated question, if they have a lot of issues remembering or don't even care about you changing topic (or don't even notice for that matter) they are probably lying,
making up stuff takes a lot of brain power and when lying the focus is on answering the other's question in the most believable way, it would be easy for someone lying to miss the fact that you completely changed the topic
People who deal with liars (or a liar) regularly often over-explain, too. Or those who grew up in abusive homes and were constantly accused of lying. 😿
I always assume that everyone else will always assume I am lying because I am frequently accused of being a liar when I really do just have interesting stories...
So, in short, "You're suspicious if you act differently from how the cop expects, regardless of whether that expectation was reasonable, and there's no sanity-check on this whatsoever." So reassuring for us people with behavioral abnormalities like social anxiety or mild autism.
Once my power wasn’t working so I went outside to the fuse box and all I had for light was a lighter so there I am flipping switched with a lighter at night wearing a hoodie. Next thing I know the patrol headlights are on me. My reaction was just me turning around seeing the cop and going back to what I was doing. After a minute he left.

"Watch for the lingeres" bruh I can't just walk around and look around a store without being considered as a shoplifter
I think the lingering thing is just a tendency. I'm obsessive and tend to spend a long time shopping to an extent almost no one does, and I've never shoplifted but have figured that I probably look suspicious, lol.

When a cop admits he gets nervous around cops, that's fucking telling.
It tells me he has anxiety
*Question for cops*
15mins of people telling they're "I got pulled over" storys
Very disappointing
"Their", not "they're".
"Stories", not "storys".
You need to play the reverse psychology card. You could ask police officers about dumb criminals and get some guy writing a novel about his drug dealing business and how he hasn't been caught on a public forum

I work in EMS so I see and talk to cops all the time. Whenever I see them at work or in public I always talk to them like I'd talk to anyone else. Been working out great so far plus I've got nothing to hide anyways
Used to walk at work at night at around 11pm( 2 mile walk (worse time to walk around while black). But cops would drive behind me about 15ft with high beam lights on. And would even drive onto the track to stay behind me. Great times at least I felt safe

6:37 If it was normal cops they werent worried with Poaching. Cops cant do anything for hunting laws and are actually at risk when if they try to enforce a hunting law because they dont have the authority to, and when a cop interferes with a hunter it is hunter harrasment, meaning the hunter can then call the DEC, Game Wardens, or whatever your state calls them, and have the cop removed. If the cop refuses to leave they can get arrested.
I have a question for anyone who’s a cop, ex-cop, lawyer, or anyone else who has a logical answer. If you a completely innocent person and have nothing to hide, how can that person assert their constitutional rights on principle without making the officer suspicious, mad, or thinking you have something to hide, or just generally making the situation worse for yourself?
Also how should someone politely/respectfully tell a cop to keep their questioning to the purpose of the stop, how should someone get a cop to stop asking “fishing” questions (such as, where are you coming from, where are you going, do you know how fast you were going, can you step out of the vehicle, ect.)
I can tell u one thing if they ask do you no how fast you where going always say you don’t know
Cops are assholes who will just bully you. The stats show that cops have *terrible* intuition. There's no way to win, so just assert your rights and shut up.
Nearly all of the anxiety I have around cops is when I feel like I'm being monitored. If they just come up and talk to me, I relax. Maybe the cops in my town are just really charismatic and good at their job face to face, idk.

10:22 I over explain too but that’s because I have CRIPPLING anxiety
yeah I have this weird fear of people thinking i am doing something wrong even if I can prove that I wasn't that I try to go out of my way to make sure people know that I am not doing anything wrong which then makes me seem suspicious
i hate cops who start off with the “bad cop” persona, like dudes, your jobs are to protect and serve not to bully and act tough. but respect to all the cops who hold true to their oaths and duties. cops ALWAYS make me nervous, as i have had a handful of run ins with police due to a heavy foot, but now i drive 100 percent to rules of the road, even catch cops themselves breaking the rules, but even if a cop pulls up behind me, i STILL get nervous and begin to play out multiple scenarios of how our future POSSIBLE (might not) conversation will go.
If I lived in the US id be nervous around cops too, in Australia at least in my state, they are pretty chill
Ive noticed on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, the cops that are the biggest pricks are the rookies - doing everything by the book to work their way through the ranks. They're the ones that I hate interacting with.
That is the media for you. Most cops, even in the US are fine, but the media (social and normal) make it seem like all cops.
nice to know there are some people who think people with anxiety are ‘self-conscious idiots acting weird’
Pro tip: use your phone to record cops, audio can be as useful as video
I’m not nearly as nervous around cops now as I was several years ago. I worked at a restaurant that was a cop hangout in the mornings, so several years of serving and talking to them helped my anxiety a lot.
A lot of these miss the fact that the officer might think you're probably innocent, but there's definitely something to be said for opening the conversation up with "you know why I'm here." The innocent might freak out--but the guilty might give themselves away.
One of those made me realize I look like a shoplifter. I probably shouldn't spend 20m looking around to pick the perfect snacks everytime I go to a store. It also doesn't help I'm always a little bit uncomfortable when there is anyone at all around me.
We have front door that doesnt always close and we sometimes forget to lock it. We have had visits from police (not 1 cop, not 2, not 3 but 4 cops, two times in a row at some point) and one time they screamed POLICE DROP YOUR WEAPONS at me because i was making cereal in my kitchen and my spoon was seen as a weapon. I was freaking 8 years old, making cereal at 3 am in the morning, and a random cop yelled at me. They cleared the houde, drilled my mom out of bed and our dog who barks at it's own freaking tail just let them in. Didnt even flinch. Fucker. But yeh it happened quite often, one time they just ran into my bedroom because they didnt know if there were burglars bcs the door was open. Yeh we moved now and now the door locks without actually locking it so that doesnt happen anymore but damn
Mate, lock the damn door. I know too well that you should lock your door and keep your blinds closed
Fuckin idiots
8 years old making cereals at 3 am...
Oh dear. I never look at cops, because I want to ‘play it cool’ and not be a gawking civilian. I’m doomed.
I remember being like 7, grandma's driving everyone to the mall. Theres a cop behind her, she gets super nervous, slows down. Is now going 15mph in a 40mph. Didnt get pulled over lol

No I’m just anxious like that and y’all too much. Mom gave me the “don’t talk anywhere near 50% of the conversation” rule

0:45 The police in the UK are bad, but they don't waste resources like that to try and catch ONE not even confirmed buyer. Think about how much time and money that goes into searching one lost guy's car for drugs, while any number of muggings, assaults and other crimes take place. K9's should be sniffing for bad guys, not good kush.
c109 I understand what you are say but there are more drugs than just weed, alcohol for one example is considered a drug along with others such as meth, coke, and speed, ect drugs is a basic description in the context. I don’t know for sure though and no wasting cash isn’t a good thing but it’s also a waste of taxpayers money to get a K-9 unit and not use it. Though Don’t forget the first cop needs to have a warrant or an actual reason to pull anyone over at any time, if the person wasn’t doing anything actually illegal he could have pressed a minor charge on the first cop for malpractice for the unreasonable pulling over and for discrimination.
M.B still all considered drugs by federal laws
Not many people are legally allowed to drive drunk in fact I believe the number is zero people allowed under the influence of any drugs legal at home or not.
M.B, I’m sorry if I seemed to be mad or dismissive towards you, but you have such a brief sentence For the first reply it didn’t really tell me anything about what you were talking about other than you like wine, that’s how I feel I could only really get the points in the second reply. Thank you for a good discussion. M8 happy holidays
The police in the UK are amazing wym
Apparently, most of my behavior is suspicious and I look not forward, but backward to my future interactions with the law.
Well today I learned even off duty cops get freaked by on duty cops. The irony.
It’s sad that people get scared/nervous around cops. They are supposed to be your trusty helper in need. But the stuff that is going on in the US scares the hell out of me. It’s one of the reasons why I will not visit the US.
It’s more complicated but yeah
Get mad when caught stealing, lol. They get so pissed off even when it's right there on camera and in their pocket.
I’m always scared people are gonna think I’m shoplifting because I really love shopping and looking at everything and I’ve been followed multiple times, but obviously I was followed way more when I had colored hair and visible piercings.
Even off duty cops don't feel safe around other cops. Not surprising
0:48 that bad cop could be the reason your place is becoming drug free
I think most people get nervous when interacting with police.
I hated as a kid when I’d try to do something sneaky with someone and they’d just ACT like it. Like, the best way to get away with it is to act normal. Not looking over your shoulder and whispering like an idiot
Also, I live next to an airport that frequently has helicopters coming in and out of it. While most people react, I don’t unless there’s multiple. It’s not the helicopter which brings my attention, it’s the potential circumstances around it. 9/10 they mean nothing to me, though if there’s multiple it can signify something crazy like a suspect running away, in which only then would alarm me.
Laughs nervously in social anxiety and neurodivergence
Anxiety for me is like im so anxious, my brain goes into overdrive and i forget how normal people act. 😅 like when seeing cops i think "act like you're just nervous, not suspicious" and now that i know these, i think my anxious brain is like "don't touch your waist too many times" and immediately i do just that. 🙈
There are so many intelligent, psychologically-backed tricks to spot a criminal beyond 'you look nervous.' It would be great if people had to get diplomas to become cops rather than just attending regionally varying training for a while. We'd have back the 'friendly neighbourhood cops' we used to believe in as kids.
The “idiots” remark in the OP’s post is kind of unnecessarily mean-spirited
The cops that help bring the anxiety down are better at catching the bad guys too. To arrest someone you need either A. Brute force or B. A good voice. If you throw accusations or are visibily jumpy as a cop then that will heighten tense situations. If a cop acting chill who KNOWS someone is up to no good they're more likely to diffuse the situation.
Story time:
There was a cop patroling looking for a man with a history of violent assault and a warrant on him. This man was HUGE, looking like twice the size of the cop looking. Finding him on a street corner they slowed down, rolling down their window, watching the man tense and prepare himself for a fight.
Cop "Hey there! Have you seen a little boy around with a red sweatshirt?"
The man stopped, pausing to remember. Then was tackled from behind while his guard was down by different cops.
A bit later the cop apologized. "I'm sorry man, I don't like to lie to anyone, but I didnt want anyone to get hurt."
The man earnestly admitted that he would've faught too, and agreed it definitely worked.
my dad is a cop so I tend to be chill around cops (I live in Portugal tho, not USA)

7:57 i hate when people fucking do that. When the cop has no lights on and is just cruising slower then the speed limit and no one is passing. Sometimes I feel the cops do it on purpose, but still fucking pass em people
whenever i see a cop or go through like security aat a airport i always just think "what if im accidently doing something illegal" and i dont know why
"Relax, its just a ticket."
No.
Many people are living paycheck to paycheck, where any accident, medical bills, or OR FINE, can seriously mess them up, even make them bankrupt & homeless.
Even if the fine is something stupid, like a victimless crime, something not harming, threatening, or cheating any innocent person, but it's literally a cop's job to do all those things to someone, over a stupid law.
Supreme Court made it official. A cop's job is not to serve & protect US, the people, their job is to enforce the law, no matter how stupid, broken, corrupt, unfair and detrimental the law may be.
This fundamentally makes the police a hazard to good people.
The police are not heroes, they are disposable gang members of the state.
This is why I advise people to treat the police, like you would treat a bear...be aware of their presence, and be prepared to escape from, disable, or kill them.
Picture this, someone hard working, can't get a raise or better job, barely able to stay afloat, because the government made the cost of living so high, government keeps devaluing their labor by devaluing the dollar, taxes & fees take most of whatever is left, after food & rent, can't even afford their license, registration or insurance anymore, for the vehicle they need for work, can't even save enough to move somewhere better & cheaper.
Then a cop lights them up for no good reason, like expired tags, or safely filtering a motorcycle to avoid being rear-ended & crushed by a distracted or drunk driver.
Their life is already on thin ice, as is.
A fine & record will destroy them.
They might as well take the risk losing the cop or killing the cop, and make preparations for doing either, fake tags, improvised weapons, and safely practicing racing techniques.
The government, and their thugs the police, military, and agents, are nothing but a media, they must be seen & treated as such.
They are above & beyond out of control, they will continue to get worse, there is no fixing them. They don't care about what is fair for us, they don't want us strong, independent, and living happily ever after without them.
They want us to be tax-slaves & cattle.
They must be pushed out of our lives and destroyed.
We must take back full ownership & responsibility of our lives.
We can directly & efficiently pay for things like infrastructure, and we can directly protect ourselves, or properties, and by choice, each other.
The government is nothing but a fancy, manipulative gang of bullies & parasites.
Prove me wrong, change my mind.
And the government has respectively proven, they cannot be trusted, and don't deserve a cent of our money, be it what they steal & misuse through taxes, or their bullshit fines & fees.

Once the police were looking for some dude who had just robbed this house In my neighborhood. My friend was automatically suspected as he was walking in that area in a heavy jacket when it was summer. He didn’t didnt commit the robbery but they had to dispatch more police because he was being sent to the hospital for suicidal ideation. His wrists were cut up he was drunk as balls walking to the lake. So luckily being suspected then saved his life honestly
I automatically tense up when I see cops. One time I was coming home from doing some grocery shopping and a cop pulled up next to me at the intersection when the light was red. I was in the left-turn lane and the cop was in a straight-through lane. I felt both relieved and silly when the light went green and the cop car drove off.
Obviously they wouldn’t shoot and kill me right then and there. No, then I’d be blocking traffic.
But yeah the only cops I trust have fur and four legs. Because police dogs are literally just dogs.

Cops here in southern Manitoba are quite well trained and honestly seem pretty decent people. We had some corruption 7-8 years ago, half the department was fired and we got people who give out tickets based on guiltiness now rather than just to meet a quota. For this I am thankful.
I guess it varies per country. In the Netherlands cops are quite friendly and police violence doesn't occur often. In arms-bearing countries police-relations work quite differently.
