Jennifer Coolidge was ironically the only real surprise win given Elizabeth Debicki's recent wins @Golden Globes/Critics' Choice Awards. Felt sorry for Rhea Seehorn/Better Call Saul folks who unfortunately join The Wire & The Leftovers as huge Emmy snubs 😞The Emmys needs to realise that there are other Apple shows not called Ted Lasso that needs some love too; Slow Horses, Silo, Severance, Bad Sisters, For All Mankind etc. The middling critic/audience scores for Mean Girls inc its poor 'B' CinemaScore suggests a sizeable wk 2 box office drop-off!
Appreciated the shout out to HBO's Getting On. Niecy was excellent in that role.
Y'all gave Grover her flowers but when will Oscar get the recognition *she* deserves?!

Yes agree Emmys should be in this awards season but with Critics Choice back to back was exhausting even for me, a viewer lolll… and a week after Globes too? There’s also People’s Choice coming up? Spacing them out would make for better speeches and a better show ultimately. I feel the Emmys should be in March with the Oscars since there won’t be overlaps and it’s a similar vibe… I’m just now remembering Emmys are usually after the traditional TV season, but what is that even anymore now…

There already was a real Martin reunion in 2022 on BET plus and Taxi had a reunion last month on The View.

Also, I get Louis' point about Austen. Shame she only wrote 6 novels and we have to endlessly adapt everyone of them, with gays, zombies or both at the same time. But bring them on I say. Northanger Abbey in Wisconsin? Why not. Sense and Sensibility in Space? Just take my money!
I thought it was a great awards show. Especially compared to the Golden globes disaster. The winners were predictable and it was disappointing Better Call Saul got snubbed. Good tributes and the show moved well.
Clueless is way better hands down!
