Love the way it looks, I'd like to do this on my 99 RS. One note, I'd add an extra screw to each corner to help keep the material from dropping that much on heavy bumps. But definitely ordering one when they're available
That's rad Bucky! 😄 I legit did the garage door liner lip on the L bumper of my first GC. As a customer of Rokblokz having them on my forester and my f150 tow vehicle rally truck, I know these are going to be top quality! Bucky, if you're ever up here in Ont Canada we can do some good old bass fishing and play with my first gens. Get lippy in 2020🤙🤙
My favorite channel out of all the ones im subscribed to. You couldn't have done your install any other way and it looks amazing!!! Looking forward to more content
@@craigpriest2720 It was similar to this one. I bonded the joint together after fitting it. www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Front-Deep-Bumper-Chin-Spoiler-Lip-Valance-Splitter-Fit-VW-Golf-MK3-3-VR6/132637196020?fits=Model%3AJetta&epid=2281874652&hash=item1ee1cafef4:g:5fYAAOSwo9VbCPzZ
Looks fantastic. Maybe a little heat gun exposure will help work those waves out. That worked on my FRP front lip. That and sitting directly in the hot California sun will help too
I would 100% buy this!...Already have their flaps and love the material. I've been looking to do this but wasn't thrilled when I went to look at the stuff at Home Depot. Really hope they can hook this up for 08-14's!!!🙌
YES FINALLY! I've been looking for this! I even commented on one of your IG posts asking about the custom lip, so definitely interested for my GC8 build as well!
The tape method is legit. I think I need men some that for my rallycross/hooptieX car. Way better than that home depot shit. Loving the chillhop soundtrack. My favorite channel to turn on and relax.
You can probably clear the ripple in it if you pull on the lip tight from one end when fitting it and use more screws or pop rivets. Use a screw/rivet say every 8-10cm. You can then smash out of that driveway without it almost pulling off the corner of the lip haha.
I use .020 sheet from McMaster-Carr to reinforce my front lip. Trim to fit a 2.5" strip to fit the lower lip side to side. Give the metal the desired curvature. Bond to the lip using high strength epoxy. Clamp overnight to cure fully. Enjoy your new, wave free lip.
its so gooOOOD!!!!!! i dont run a front lip cause i made that my life. but this would do it. but will the sun warp it? maybe thicker? or thats what she said?
I'm gonna be honest, I sought this video out and watched it for advice before going to Home Depot to buy some garden edging ... no clue if you'll take that as a compliment or not lol but I've only seen a couple GRs with lips like that in all of my internet searching, so I guess I'm about to produce GR with rally-style-lip #3 hahaha
More screws!!! I think you need to add a few more mounting points to it bro, seems to pull a little bit at the "corner" radius area on the bumper, which can put stress in the screw hole area on either side of the area where the gap is created. If you can picture what I'm trying to say, lol
Sal Esposito Tape would make it bulge out more and more screws maybe if it was an actual stage rally car but it bounced right back to shape immediately as is👍🏼
Honestly I love be the idea... I wonder since I already have rokblocks mud flaps that would go good on my car. Only difference is I have the v5/v6 bumper instead. But just watching you and visualizing the possibilities I think I can do something similar with the same product. As long as they sell it at 88 inches I think I can make it work. And for your taping and measurement job I think that was a good way to do it... #buckyeah
I watch a "pool party" like last week and I swear those young dudes looked they don't know who Bucky is... Wtf, I'm not a vert guy but I wanna shred like this dude!
In Maine the Subaru's car sales place needs tell Subaru company to rhino line under neath cars and around outside wheel wells.. they used alot salt on roads during winter. Should be option to pick at dealers. To rhino line the cars and trucks here. Because everyone has rotten rusted cars here. Nothing worth to fix up uphere like your cars. My best friend Russell sylvia has a 69 Camaro sitting around in garage all the time. It's not rust bucket. It's a beautiful machine he built up. But most of it's time sitting in a garage
All the GCs rust from the inside out... no amount of underbody coating will fix that. Spent $15k getting all mine cut out and replaced with factory metal.
This is becoming my new favorite channel! I must say Bucky, you have one of the sickest Subaru collections!
Rad and thank you. I have some content of the other cars I’ll throw up here soon.
BuckYeah that Mini looks dope too. You should do an episode on that
Av. Nedelcu That’s my daughters boyfriend’s car.
This channel needs to blow up
Pattern transfer for the win. Great trick for the kids because they are the ones that will carry this sport into the next century. Looks great.
Also if you want to get rid of the waviness in the centre, double side tape some thin aluminium stems behind to keep the straightness.
Dope! After seeing you hit the lip at the end I would definitely throw a couple more screws in there
But if you do that, won’t it be more rigid and flex less?
I dig it. Such a simple add-on but completely transforms the front of the car. WRC Style boiis!
Love the way it looks, I'd like to do this on my 99 RS. One note, I'd add an extra screw to each corner to help keep the material from dropping that much on heavy bumps. But definitely ordering one when they're available
Very smart Bucky!
This front lip is exactly what I have been looking for! I need one!

Kirk Blackadar Sounds awesome!
Awesome! Good choice on the textured side.
Bucky, I have confidence in your abilities. I thought the the trick with the painter's tape was cool. And the new product looks pretty dope!!
Matt Pish Thanks, it took some thought but I’m super stoked on the final fit 👍🏼
Came out perfect Bucky..looks killer!
Vincent Paterniti Thanks 👊🏼
Using the tape to know where the holes were gonna be was really smart. Thanks for the tip!
watching bucky is the best way to start the day , buckyeah!
looks really good! and great idea with the tape and marking it for the hole placement
Brad Pittiful Thank you 👊🏼😉
I can’t believe this channel doesn’t have more subscribers.
Buck it looks very good with that! Great shape
Show us the blue subaru in the garage sometime! It's always hanging out in the background
Zak Working on an edit now👍🏼
BuckYeah sick 👌🏽👍🏽 you built that for your kid if I remember?
Alex MkvTurbo Yup, more like a restoration 👍🏼

Jeremy Schoppaul 👊🏼😉 Thanks for watching!
I used to have the garden edging on my Forester. Then I found a generic EBay Jetta lip that fit good. That's looks just fine,Buck!
Do you remember what model jetta lip you got mate

Andrew Landes Rad spot and good chatting 👍🏼
Super sick. I would buy it.
Yo, I absolutely love your videos! I saw you featured on hoonigan and have been a fan since!
Sick idea! That material is solid for sure and looks great too. I like 👍😎

SageCraft Rad, I should know soon and the feed back has been awesome!
Yes! Would love to see this as a product, along with those large "fender liner" sheets.
Monetization..Good for you bro ..On your way..
Tastefully done sir car looks great
Just bought me one for my channels car. So stoked
Some small washers, cupped slightly with rubber underside to go with the screws and I bet it would be even stronger
What hardware do you use? Self tapping screws? Bolts with a nut on the back?
The tape method is legit. I think I need men some that for my rallycross/hooptieX car. Way better than that home depot shit.
Loving the chillhop soundtrack. My favorite channel to turn on and relax.
Awesome video. It looks good. Like your way of testing stuff.
John Cline Haha, go big!
I really love your channel making my GC8 build a way more easier!!!
Thanks for watching and stoked you dig the content 👊🏼
This is EXACTLY what I need for my SRT Vermont Sportscar front end conversion!
MoshpitMad 👍🏼😉
@Steve Gundrum MoshpitMad on IG.
I dig it and your style man. Love it.
Bucky is pretty much building my dream car...with mods like this one that I didn't even know I wanted.
💪🏼😉👍🏼
Looks sick! Much more durable than the fibre glass 👌🏻🤗
Good job brother I actually thought you were going to use the old one as a template but you did good the way you did it love the videos brother

Dude! Nice idea! I'm gonna do this, but with rivets and washers. And probably more holes. Skiiiirrrrt skiirrrrrrtttt hahaah
BRO THE COLOR OF THE SUBARU🔥🔥😮💨 what’s the exact same so I can do mine plss???
Edit : THE BLUE ONE
Looks badass Bucky! Hell yea
Editing, tips, tricks and dad jokes are really coming together.
Graham Drope Thanks👍🏼
Looks good! paint the screws matte black so they blend in
Wolfy1091 Yup👍🏼
I think it looks really good. You could maybe paint the screws if you don't like the contrast.
Jason Easley I agree, I’ll paint them black when the car is closer to being finished👍🏼
Awesome buck , let us know when we can start ordering them and i think ya need to add some more screws just to be on the safe side
Yes put this in my shopping cart!
Nice Bucky I’ve bought myself EZ lip for my 2009 Subaru Impreza STI to get that look. Hopefully it’s going to be a universal.
Spot on the rally lip can't wait to test it myself😏😁
Looks awesome! I need that on my Focus RS for max rally car look.
its so gooOOOD!!!!!! i dont run a front lip cause i made that my life. but this would do it. but will the sun warp it? maybe thicker? or thats what she said?
DET COR That test I did really worked it good and it was right back to normal by the time I drove it back around 👍🏼
Dig it....my bumper is trashed so I was debating the home depot route, but I'll hold off in case this stuff gets made to the public.
I used aluminum from our local race car supply shop...works well and has character the more is scrapes lol
I need this for my RS! I would buy it!
Hell yeah dude. Been on/off poking around for something similar on my GR, this would be peeeerfect.
Looking good!
Hawk Eye Thank you 🤙🏼
I would LOVE to be able to buy a pair of these for my S2000 and my '15 STI!
Hell yeahh dude keep these GC8 videos going, currently own one and a 2015 STI I’m a huge subie enthusiast and appreciate your uploads 🙏🏽
That material would be great for my 03 forester!
I'd love to look into ordering some for my 06 Legacy GT! Looks rad!!!
This is what I'm looking for, thank you bro
Going to order the lip !!
Hey Bucky, this is now available if you want to update your description! Just got it myself. Hopefully they do the fender liners soon too
Thanks for reminding me 👍🏼
@@BuckyLasekOfficial thanks for doing what you do!
I need this! Just awesome
Love this series binge watched up to here all today. Have you done a video laying out the rough amount you've spent
More screws!!! I think you need to add a few more mounting points to it bro, seems to pull a little bit at the "corner" radius area on the bumper, which can put stress in the screw hole area on either side of the area where the gap is created. If you can picture what I'm trying to say, lol
Bucky, get a DeWalt heat gun and heat the lip.....it will straighten out! Top tip.
Looks good! I wonder if installing 3M double sided foam tape in addition to the screws would help secure it better... or maybe just some more screws.
Sal Esposito Tape would make it bulge out more and more screws maybe if it was an actual stage rally car but it bounced right back to shape immediately as is👍🏼
Fair enough
Depends how much it cost. The end was dope tho
Looks great
I need to do this to my evo 4. Great vid!
Looks pretty rad to me! I bet that material lasts way longer
Fuck yea!
Love this channel. What is the premise behind this lip? Protection?
🤣🤙"skrtskrrrttskrr" 🤙🤣👍 love it! 🍻

Chris Voulo It will have mounting bracket options for those without a smooth surface to mount to👍🏼
Bruh...... Perfect!
Yaaa buddy!! Add some more screws and you're golden 🤙
Sharpie screws Black 👌🏽😉
Maybe a couple more screws and some washers behind those screws and it would be a little more stout
Moliver Mella It bounced right back like a champ the way it is. That would poke it out and bulk up the clean look.
Haven't got the edging from Home Depot but I do have a set of RokBlokz for my STI.
I watch a "pool party" like last week and I swear those young dudes looked they don't know who Bucky is... Wtf, I'm not a vert guy but I wanna shred like this dude!
Great job Bucky. How much do these cost. Not sure it would look all that great on my 2011 wrx limited 🤷
Hey Bucky, what lip is that on your 2.5rs? (blue one)
David Kemp P1 replica
You're a damb clever boy ! nice !
mike jones Thank you 🙏🏻❤️
Looks awesome.
Is that the same stuff they put on the front of Trophy Trucks? Bet that takes a scrape alot better than an OEM front bumper cover!
When is this going to be on the market ??
I think it looks good 👍😀
