If you would like to know how I did it check out THE SMALL BOOK: HOW I BEAT ALCOHOLISM AND WHY ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS DOESN'T WORK. Good luck---Charles www.amazon.com/SMALL-BOOK-ALCOHOLISM-ALCOHOLICS-DOESNT/dp/B08VCJ4ZPT/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3HZCVNA2MTGI1&keywords=the+small+book+charles+hurst&qid=1677951342&sprefix=the+small+book+charles+hurst%2Caps%2C203&sr=8-1
I tend to agree. I do think the comraderie and support can be very beneficial, but tend to see some of the steps as destructive - especially with NA. Neither has changed and kept up with latest research and have become very dogmatic. True spiritual experience is rarely sought because there is no professional support and things that work well are said to be outside the boundaries of NA - such as MAT - which is absolutely known to save lives. We also know that reliving all the negative things you did while under the influence has no benefit and is often a step where people relapse. I could go on and on - but thanks and lets keep spreading the message and helping addicts find what works best for them.
Good comment. I may branch out and start a channel specifically on better ways to gain sobriety as I am 15 years clean and have been to exactly 2 AA meetings in first year and fled quickly.--Charles
