- Welcome to another trip report and the first one in a while! On this trip, I'm doing something new and taking my first flight to Las Vegas via Hollywood Burbank International Airport. Shoutout to Southwest Airlines for providing the awesome deals.

Trip Impressions: This was an incredibly fun day of flying. Unfortunately, the weather in Burbank made for a less than memorable departure but once we hit near Valencia, we found cloudless skies and beautiful views. I have never flown into Las Vegas before but I had heard amazing things about the approach and the arrival. They did not disappoint. Speaking of not disappointing, SOUTHWEST AIRLINES! I have had a great experience with all of my Southwest flights and will continue to fly them in the future. I LUV their network, their pilots & flight attendants and everything else about the airline. Their IFE had plenty of great choices. Of course, it's not a major airline IFE but it still does the job and very well with speedy internet and complimentary iMessage in flight. Seat was comfy with plenty of leg room. The plane is a little on the older side but she made it from point A to point B safely which is all that matters. We pulled into our gate at exactly the time it stated on the ticket, 10:10 AM. Well done all around by Southwest.

I love Southwest Airlines and love their famed “ stop no plane change “ routes
I have yet to try that but it's on the list!
I so excited to fly SW! I am flying on a -700, then a max-9 in the same night on Christmas night! Then gonna cruise, then an -800, and another -700
I love Southwest - amazing airline! I've flown all of their 737 variants except for the MAX9 so hope you enjoy that experience and safe travels!
Love this route! I think I did a trip report of this very same route, from a right side window seat (I hope to do more SW ones). Actually flew Frontier and American on my most recent trip to LV, where I was honored to have been one of the final passengers landing at McCarran AND one of the first passengers departing out of Harry Reid last year.

I'll be on SWA IAH-TUS on June 1st for a family visit,haven't flown them in many years--the deciding factor was not the fare but that they don't have an additional fee for the first 2 bags--am paying extra though for Early Bird Check-in--so how does a Peoria boy end up in California,going to Vegas? Will you have footage of leaving Illinois going to California? Guessing this was a morning flight judging from the overcast and low ceiling,a dreary way to start your journey
