The message is correct. One addition. In the beginning, the boredom she speaks of is "melancholia," as you yourself understood it, depression, the feeling of emptiness after a trauma (probably the death of her father when she was a child, which led her to leave school, only to return a year later and move away, hence the reference to changing cities again), the sense of vanity of vanities of everything. Then the boredom is transformed, it is no longer something she suffers, but she decides to celebrate it, to have a party, to move from passivity to action. In the end, boredom is what we have when we are not suffering. Out of respect for the suffering we have gone through, we must celebrate boredom, normalcy, which is not an "innocent" normalcy, but one charged with thought and awareness. I also suffered from depression since childhood, I was suicidal, and this message resonates with me so much. Now, like you, I love life and feel like a lion ready to maul life and welcome celebrating every moment of boredom, while wearing the crown of thorns, which is a reference to Jesus' martyrdom on the cross where he was speared with a crown of thorns by the Romans who mocked him as "king of the Jews."

Bravissimo. Sei quello che ha compreso meglio di tutti il significato della canzone e lo spirito di chi e come l'ha cantato. Se vuoi emozionarti ancora ascoltala mentre canta "La Rondine" nella serata dedicata dal festival ai successi di altri cantanti

Wow, I must say, I'm really impressed by your analysis of this Italian song 'La Noia.' You've captured its essence beautifully, delving into its deeper meaning beyond just 'boredom.' I agree wholeheartedly that it's far more complex than it initially seems. I, too, couldn't help but think of the sensation of depression while listening to it. The protagonist's contemplation on the value of life and the experiences that define it, juxtaposed with the feeling of being trapped in a mundane routine devoid of stimulation, is incredibly poignant. Yet, amidst this, there's a sense of resilience and introspection. The inner strength acquired, despite the pains and losses (like the passing of her father a decade ago), becomes necessary to combat the pressures and prejudices of the external world. And then there's the emergence of cumbia, a Latin American musical genre intertwining with the musicality of the Mediterranean and Southern Italy. It becomes a means of escape from the monotony, offering a moment of pure joy and evasion. It's fascinating how music can serve as a conduit for such deep emotions and reflections.
Your insight truly adds another layer of appreciation to this song. Thanks from ITALY for sharing your thoughts!

In addition, I'd like to add that there are few reviews that delve so deeply into song lyrics. Most focus solely on the music and how commercial it is. So, congratulations

I appreciated the fact that you also noticed that this song by Angelina has the right characteristics to be appreciated on an international level too, but I also think that for Eurofestival in May she should do something little more than her performance in Sanremo. In fact, she seems like the "Italian Shakira" because she moves on stage with great mastery and sensuality, and sings a song very well that transmits positive energy, irony and a great desire to dance, with a combination of different styles and musical genres of Mediterranean and Latin origin, which together they create a very pleasant cocktail. I think I'm not wrong in saying that Angelina Mango will definitely be an amazing novelty at the Eurovision Festival !!!

okay your reaction gave me chills too. Now if you want a lot more chills go watch her cover night song. A song from her father Pino Mango, easily one of the 5 best male voices we had in Italy in the last 40 years in pop music. Angelina is simply a princess. This isn't my cup of tea neither but She's just so good. Her mother is a great artist as well.

You did a great job of interpreting the lyrics, of the many reactions you are the only one who stopped not only to listen to the song but also to interpret the meaning.👏👏

Angelina is the daughter of the great Pino Mango, certainly the greatest male voice in Italian song, who died of a cardiac arrest live at a concert and she is the daughter of Laura Valenti, one of the last singers of the Mattia Bazar group who had did Eurovision with Solo you. Husband and wife sang a duet see on RUclips with the legendary song "pensieri e parole" by Lucio Battisti two immense voices

Thank you so much for your video reaction! 🇮🇹❤️😊 You're so natural and honest, and responsible. I mean, not many people try to understand the lyrics of a song, and I think that it is a bad point of a certain European attitude. Many people don't even try to understand other languages (like Italiano, Deutsch, Espanol, not for mentioning even Greek or Eastern languages). You did, and it's a good message for others people and eurofans. Thank you again ❤️🇮🇹
Little point: do you think (I wonder this sometimes) that a possible winning of Italy could be a chance to bring back live orchestra at Eurovision? Maybe hosting again Esc in Italy could be a way to make pressure upon EBU asking for live orchestra again. I don't know why they didn't think that when we hosted esc in Turin.
    Ciao 🇮🇹🇮🇹❤️❤️

Thank you for your kind feedback, Regarding the live orchestra I don’t know if they will change that, I guess is harder to manage at a bigger scale but who knows

No, they can't. Just think that originally, when there was Eurovision in Turin, RAI had asked that out of respect for the artists, they should be presented on stage as in Sanremo, before their performance. EBU had said yes and in fact this would have given time for the "Mechanical Sun" to move into position and rotate during the artists' presentation (it takes 30 seconds to be in position). At last, they were told NO and this sent the organization into a crisis that they no longer had time to rotate the Sun between performances.

Cambia is the name of a Colombian music originally associated with funerals. That's La Cambia della Noia means subtly that's the song of the boredom's funeral, and everybody have to dress like a Christ, because life is such a big pain when it's boring, but I want to making it a themed party 😎😎😎

In truth the song is not properly a cumbia, even if it introduces some typically hispanic instruments. I would say it's a fusion between hispanic music and tarantella.
Another Italian artist has spelled a similar fusion, Alessandra Amoroso, here it is, feel the rhythm, halfway between the two genres, hispanic and tarantella.
