What did they always say about people, particularly women who made claims that men didn't like, way back when? They are mad, insane. DNA sample? Where did it really come from, where was the proof. the documentation, the conclusive evidence That the DNA sample belonged to Anna, that the test was even carried out? Whom conducted the test, was there more than one independent group that tested separately to confirm, free from heavy handed influence? Didn't think so. The skeleton found that supposedly was hers sounds far too convenient, nothing has been conclusively proven and I ask you, why would someone spend their entire life trying to prove they are a certain person, well into old age and never go back on that claim for the remainder of their days? That isn't thirst for power or attention, nor is it obsession nor is it madness, it is because it's the truth.
They found all of their bodies (bones) and did a DNA test against their previously deceased and properly buried royal relatives. Anastasia never escaped as sad as it is. We all wish she had.

Conspiracy theory: Kendall does a repeat phrase in every video, you would think by accident... but no... in the end if you put them all together it exposes aliens.
I think separating Maria/Anastasia and Alexei had more to do with making sure no one could identify the family if one of the tombs were found. People looking for the Romanovs would be looking for a family of seven people, so to have two of the kids elsewhere would help with making identifying them more difficult.
Ugh, I love the Romanov’s so much (yes, I’m aware they were awful to peasants and the Jewish population, but I’m mostly attached to the children) they’re part of the reason I went into History. Thank you Kendall for telling the REAL story. I’ve always felt a connection to them... especially the film, which was my favorite as a kid. I think it’s the hundreds of photographs they took of each other that really got me into them. They’re so real and it’s horrible what happened to them. Helen Rappaport has an amazing series on them, one of which is about their last days and gives a blow by blow of what happened in the room they were executed in. It is really violent and could be triggering so I warn you now. It was just TERRIBLE. The poor girls sewed jewels into their corsets (in case they escaped they could sell them), so when they were shot the injury was slower and more painful and their deaths prolonged. Anastasia and her sisters died last actually because of this, so they watched their parents and little brother be shot in the head alongside the people who stayed with them out of loyalty. Plus all of the executioners were drunk, so their aim was terrible. The story of the man saving Anastasia was actually so that when word got out, he wouldn’t be killed by people for slaughtering 17-22 year old girls. The truth is that when they were loading the bodies up, one of the younger girls (either Anastasia or Maria) regained consciousness and started screaming because of all that had happened. He tried to stab her to death until one of his superiors came over and shot her in the head. Alexis and Anastasia were put in a separate pit incase either one was found, the bodies wouldn’t be linked because they knew it was a certain number of people killed that night. Their bodies were also testers for disintegration, that’s why they had acid and scorch marks, to see what method would be best. Their story is so fascinating and sad.
@@lina_ds8873 I know you didn't ask me this question but your best bet for learning about OTMA is to read the books by Helen Rappaport. She is a historian who specialized in the Romanovs. She has numerous books. The best one for learning about the sisters in general is probably "the four sisters". If you want to learn more about the execution and how it played out then "Ekaterinburg" is very detailed and lays everything out. As far as online you can find many documentaries right here on RUclips
Sad THING is from what my mom says she grew up in Prague they said that they were actually nice to them just in front of the other elites they acted this WAY because they would HAVE done something to them.

OH MY GAWD. I’ve been obsessed with Anastasia’s story since I was little. I remember being like 10 years old and watching the cartoon and wanting to know who she was and what actually happened to her. I’ve read so many books and watched many documentaries over her and her family. I honestly feel like her story is the reason I’m so interested in true crime. Thank you for covering this! Made my day.
I’ve watched you for a long time! I’ve had problems with chronic pain for soon 5 years, and it’s so cool to see someone like you be so open about it! Love you!

I love this movie so much. And I remember I was so fascinated when I learned about this in history class some years ago 😏 I'm a history geek and was lowkey sad when I learned that she most likely didn't survive the attack. And now this video! I love it ✨
Kendall I love you so much for this. My grandmother and I loved this movie! We used to watch this movie all the time. The relationship that Anastasia had with her grandmother in the film was the same relationship my grandmother and I had, and I feel that the movie brought us closer each time we watched it together. I didn’t find out the real backstory to Anastasia until I was in high school and my grandmother had already passed and it’s so heartbreaking. You cease to amaze me girl! 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
please bump this up !! my mom was diagnosed with cushings disease, different than the syndrome like 10 years ago. and what happened to my mom and your mom was really similar because it went undiagnosed for so so so many years. i learned a lot about the disease over the years from going to the doctor with her so much. she has had a pituitary tumor removed in 2012 and then again last summer. she actually expierenced pretty much all of the same symptoms. and she went partially blind in her right eye as well, this is because the tumor was pressing up against her eye but when it was removed it was okay again. she got the tumor removed actually through her nose and lost her sense of smell and taste for like a year. before you get an MRI they make you do tests like the 24 hour cortisol and blood tests and all which are kind of stressful and tideous. as much as cushings is hard to manage and the effects suck, it’s treatable and you’re extremely strong. you’re my favorite youtuber ever and i hope you feel better!! i love you kendall!
Found your channel fairly recently and am loving it! Me and my fiance have been binge watching all of your videos and your podcast! You guys are awesome!

The fact you even made a video about this AH. This is one of my favorite historical stories of all time. I remember this summer when I was realized July 18 of this year was the hundred year anniversary of their death, and how it still is shocking what happened.
Yasss! Can you please do story on the murders of Amina and Sarah Said? Very sad story. Especially with the upcoming 10 year anniversary of their deaths😪.
I'm so glad that you finally covered this! It has always been one of my favourite theories and actually got me into conspiracy theories after I watched the movie 'Anastasia' when I was younger. And later it got me back into them when I became obsessed with the Broadway Musical of it.
My family is Italian. From Caserta to be exact. And I have a verrrryy confusing and fascinating story that I wish I could share with you, Kendall. You'd be amazed and it would be so much fun to trace my family history back with you!

I love this! My Mom's family emigrated from Russia. When I was young, my great aunt told me "If the Russian family had not fallen you would still be worshipped as royalty" I can't remember exactly what she told me in detail, but I've lost track of my family over there since my Grandfather has passed. It's always made me very curious because she wasn't much of flaunt or braggart.. I always wondered if we weren't decended from that line.. hmm...
Oh my goodness! You have no idea how excited I was to see you made a video on her! Thank you so much she’s been my favourite princess since I was little. I love the movie so much!
I have only been watching this channel for a couple months now but I really really enjoy this pretty lil soul and how she words/ puts things together ✨❤️ it almost feels like I know her... Maybe from a past life 🤷🏻♀️
LOVED this video, it's one of my favourite subjects! The sound of your voice is just so soothing, I could listen to you talking all day! Just something I've realised, if I ain't mistaken, you said that Anastasia's parents were called Nicholas The Second and Tsarina Alexandra Fedorovna, which isn't quite correct, since her moms name isn't Tsarina, just Alexandra Fedorovna. Tsarina is actually just her royal title, just like "queen" or "empress". And Nicholas II, would be Tsar, which would be "King" or "emperor" This isn't intended as hate or anything, I'm sorry if it comes out rude
Just saw the Broadway musical earlier today so I decided to hunker down and watch this... The soundtrack is absolutely amazing, just makes me love the story even more. Highly recommend to anyone who's a fan of the movie.
I still have the bat toy Burger King gave in the kids meal. I also had the jewelry box and necklace. I remember when the movie came out like it was yesterday.
Most definitely in Siberia. There’s a lot of incorrect info in this video. I’m assuming most of her info came from internet which is not always most reliable source. Those of us who’ve read books or studied the last Russian royal family can see this in a second but she did get some stuff right too
Love Anastasia! I remember researching her life as a kid after finding out the movie was based on a real person. Would have loved a little mention of Rasputin because he was featured in the film as the one going after Anastasia but there's also some spooky ties with him and the family that always intrigued me. Love your channel xo
Omgosh! I absolutely love the movie! I actually rewatched it a few days ago. This is so sad. I would've hoped it would've turned out as it did in the movie, that she somehow survived. Just discovered your channel and I am obsessed! 🤩❤
This topic interests me since my childhood. I love to see pictures and read stories about the romanovs, I am very drawn to Russia. I love the people, I love the language. I learned kyrillic (I don’t even know if it’s written that way in English), and I am learning more and more Russian. (I also grew up in a Russian neighborhood. I think it’s really sad what happened to them
So I'm adopted right (Central Asia) and because of this movie (and many other movies, shows, and books) I always believed that one day I will discover that I was a Princess of some magical land. I'm 18 and I can honestly tell you that I still have not given up hope.
ik this isnt you usually type of comment but your videos/voice always calms me down. (They think i might have endometriosis but the doctors cant confirm). Today i have had really bad period pain. To the point where i didnt know if i was going to vomit or pass out. When i tried to stand my leg would shake so bad and i had excruciating when laying down. All i could do was the childs pose (yoga move ) while i listened to ur videos. I finally was able to sleep the pain off. Thank you soo much Kendall
I’m glad I saw you tweet about this video! I was subscribed but didn’t see this in my subscription feed so I went to your channel and it said I wasn’t subbed anymore! I missed like 3 of your videos! but I love this video and I love Anastasia. literally my favorite movie growing up.
Omg I love all of your videos. I cannot stop watching them. I have always loved true crime and conspiracy theories and your channel is just perfect. I also love the charity work that you do and I love how you actually want to help find the missing people.
Any fans of the show Nikita? I just realized it seems like Alex’s story is based off Anastasia’s. Like a modern version. Alexandra Udinov/Anastasia Romanov. Both heirs to their families fortune, who’s families were killed, and there were thought to be no survivors.
Stella Gibson I didn’t know that either. In fact, I didn’t really care and just found out now, probably like her/him. So can you stop acting like you’re the smartes one on the planet and watch that goddamn mouth of yours?
Do you think you could do a FOUND episode on Elizabeth Smart? I think it's a crazy story that most people would enjoy, especially since it has a happy ending. :)
For some more information, they were taken to the basement at 4am with they dog,and 3 maids too. Alexie was actually not dead when they did the first shooting and someone had to shot him again in the head to kill him. For years no one knew what happened to them and when they found some body's and did a DNA test they found it was everyone apart from Anastasia and Alexei so that's where a lot of the rumours come from. And also the women al wore dimound under they clothes the night they were killed... they found the last two bodies in 2007 which was alexie and Anastasia. The other family memebers were found in 1979... I spent so many of my summer's reaseching haha I'm a bit obsessed x
When the bodies were originally discovered they actually didn't know whether it was Maria or Anastasia who was missing. They could only determine that it was one of the two younger sisters because of the shape of the pelvic bone. I believe it was later confirmed to be Maria. You're right though. Alexei was somehow unhurt during the initial shots. So were some of the girls and they were killed by bayonet and beating. I think Anastasia sat up screaming at one point and a guard tried to kill her but couldn't because of the gems sewn in to the corsets so another guard came over and shot her in the head. One of the dogs (Alexei's spaniel called Joy) lived and was sent to England to Nicholas's cousin. The missing bodies were found in 2007 in Siberia (not Serbia as Kendall said) but I think it was 2008 when they were confirmed as the missing Romanovs so people tend to say they were found in 2008 even though that's technically wrong.
Its also sad what happened t the impoversished people of Russia and the jewish people who were killed by the Romanovs and had to flee to Britain and Ameica just cos they were Jewish.
@@alexisgrey3633 Yeah, we have to keep in mind there was a reason their citizens wanted a revolution. Obviously the children shouldn't have been punished for that, but the adults weren't exactly innocent.

Anastasia is so understated, it’s honestly one of the greatest princess movies!
you should talk about Houdini. about how he tricked people and how he was a spy.
m c what?!?!?!?!?
He what?
McScuse me
Omg that's so cool I wanna learn more about that
Really great video! A video on Rasputin and the Romanovs would be really interesting.
Rasputin wasn't exactly a bad guy but he had some weird beliefs.... He literally slept with almost everyone
Their story is so fascinating and sad.
yo I've always wanted to learn more about the girls, do you have links or do you just want to tell more or anything? thanks in advance
@@mhairibrown4957 thanks! Weve learned a lot about the execution and rasputin and such in svhool but not about the girls
Yes
Sad THING is from what my mom says she grew up in Prague they said that they were actually nice to them just in front of the other elites they acted this WAY because they would HAVE done something to them.
Recently found your channel and literally cant stop watching I've been staying up until 2am. New favorite channel! Cant believe you dont have more subscribers!
I was absolutely obsessed with this movie as a kid! So glad that my favorite RUclipsr is talking about this! I always thought the Romanov story was so enchanting, crazy and definitely could get lost in all of the lore around it. Love you and your channel Kendall!
you guys can’t imagine how interesting it is to read so many comments about being interested in russian history and your theories, as i’m russian and don’t see this story sooooo fascinating

glad you guys enjoy it!!!
I’ve always been fascinated by Anastasia and loved her name
Then I found out we shared a birthday (June 18)
Happy early birthday!
Her teacher, who watched her grow up, would recognize her - people don't change THAT much. You can always see the person, regardless of age.
Anastasia is one of my favorite movies too. I must have watched it hundreds of times when my oldest son was little.
I’ve watched you for a long time! I’ve had problems with chronic pain for soon 5 years, and it’s so cool to see someone like you be so open about it!
Love you!
Good vibes to you!! It’s rough :( but we’re not alone!
Kendall Rae ❤️❤️
I am Russian and I also love this movie 💜 I just finished my last final ever! I'm graduating and will have my bachelor's in science 😭 A new Kendall video is just what I need to celebrate 🙌🏼

Another great video! I suffer from chronic pain and your videos are seriously the only thing that take my mind off of it because they cause me to really think. I love how you present the cases! Can’t stop binge watching your channel 😍 I listen all the time like a podcast. Thank you for always providing great content!
Just saying I told Kendall to do this like a month ago. I loooove you Kendall with my whole ass heart!!! You always come through. I love this movie so much. And I remember I was so fascinated when I learned about this in history class some years ago 😏 I'm a history geek and was lowkey sad when I learned that she most likely didn't survive the attack. And now this video! I love it ✨
O remember being sad when the graves were found .Huge history nerd

Kendall I love you so much for this. My grandmother and I loved this movie! We used to watch this movie all the time. The relationship that Anastasia had with her grandmother in the film was the same relationship my grandmother and I had, and I feel that the movie brought us closer each time we watched it together. I didn’t find out the real backstory to Anastasia until I was in high school and my grandmother had already passed and it’s so heartbreaking. You cease to amaze me girl! 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️
well time to listen to the Anastasia soundtrack again
please bump this up !!
my mom was diagnosed with cushings disease, different than the syndrome like 10 years ago. and what happened to my mom and your mom was really similar because it went undiagnosed for so so so many years. i learned a lot about the disease over the years from going to the doctor with her so much. she has had a pituitary tumor removed in 2012 and then again last summer. she actually expierenced pretty much all of the same symptoms. and she went partially blind in her right eye as well, this is because the tumor was pressing up against her eye but when it was removed it was okay again. she got the tumor removed actually through her nose and lost her sense of smell and taste for like a year. before you get an MRI they make you do tests like the 24 hour cortisol and blood tests and all which are kind of stressful and tideous. as much as cushings is hard to manage and the effects suck, it’s treatable and you’re extremely strong. you’re my favorite youtuber ever and i hope you feel better!! i love you kendall!
Found your channel fairly recently and am loving it! Me and my fiance have been binge watching all of your videos and your podcast! You guys are awesome!
Her surname was actually Romanova because in Slavic surnames women have the letter A in the end. I can't feel sympathy for tsar Nikolai II because he wanted to destroy Finnish culture but bolsheviks didn't need to kill his innocent family.
No they don't, thats only russian and ukranian names. Slavic does not equal russia. Learn that.
Bulgarian female surnames have also -a ending.

The fact you even made a video about this AH. This is one of my favorite historical stories of all time. I remember this summer when I was realized July 18 of this year was the hundred year anniversary of their death, and how it still is shocking what happened.
American Horror included a scene that includes Anastasia and her family, it’s so good

Yasss! Can you please do story on the murders of Amina and Sarah Said? Very sad story. Especially with the upcoming 10 year anniversary of their deaths😪.
This makes me so happy! I don't know anyone who has seen the film, it's one of my favourite films ever!
Yay! I love watching videos about her. Also listening to your podcasts episodes last night helped me cope with a massive panic attack. ❤️ I'm forever grateful to have found a youtuber I relate to so well!
Much love and happy holidays hun!
Oh Hannah Im SO happy to hear that our podcast can do that for you.
I always wondered if we weren't decended from that line.. hmm...
Once upon a December will forever give me chills

I have only been watching this channel for a couple months now but I really really enjoy this pretty lil soul and how she words/ puts things together ✨❤️ it almost feels like I know her... Maybe from a past life 🤷🏻♀️
Such an underrated film 😭 perfect video for Christmas💓
LOVED this video, it's one of my favourite subjects! The sound of your voice is just so soothing, I could listen to you talking all day!
Just something I've realised, if I ain't mistaken, you said that Anastasia's parents were called Nicholas The Second and Tsarina Alexandra Fedorovna, which isn't quite correct, since her moms name isn't Tsarina, just Alexandra Fedorovna.
Tsarina is actually just her royal title, just like "queen" or "empress". And Nicholas II, would be Tsar, which would be "King" or "emperor"
This isn't intended as hate or anything, I'm sorry if it comes out rude
ahhhhh hahaha well thank youi for the lesson! This russian stuff had me mad confused!
I bet kendall would be amazing at asmr.
Her title was Tsaritsa, a Russian word for the wife of a tsar, which is sometimes written in English as Tsarina.
3:26 the T is silent, and Tsarina was her royal title, meaning Empress.
Daniel Diaz T is not silent, i’m russian! And Tsaritsa, not Tsarina. “Ts” is a unique sound that exists only in russian language
Tsaritsa in russian is Царица.
@@Innamar18 No, it's not only in russian
@@Innamar18 "ts" exists in romanian too. The sound is the same but we have a letter for it which is "ț"
In Croatian it's "carica" and the "c" has the same sound as "ts" in Russian
Just saw the Broadway musical earlier today so I decided to hunker down and watch this... The soundtrack is absolutely amazing, just makes me love the story even more. Highly recommend to anyone who's a fan of the movie.

I am pretty sure that the bones of Anastasia and Aleksy were found in Siberia, not Serbia :)
Kuba Zuza 😝🤭Unfortunately the video is full of inaccuracies
@@uhuhuhaha5900 as always, she gets most of her stuff wrong. But I watch when waiting for doctor or something LOL
Most definitely in Siberia. There’s a lot of incorrect info in this video. I’m assuming most of her info came from internet which is not always most reliable source. Those of us who’ve read books or studied the last Russian royal family can see this in a second but she did get some stuff right too
That killed me as a Serbian lmao. "She was caught in Serbia in her way to China." I didn't know China was in Europe

Lia King That's so cute! I'm still waiting for my letter from Hogwarts. So never give up hope I guess. :)

Any fans of the show Nikita? I just realized it seems like Alex’s story is based off Anastasia’s. Like a modern version. Alexandra Udinov/Anastasia Romanov. Both heirs to their families fortune, who’s families were killed, and there were thought to be no survivors.
Not watched it but I do believe I read something a while back where someone said that it was loosely based off of Anastasia’s life
Im glad someone commented this i was thinking the same thing!
I had no idea Anastasia was based off a real person until now.
Stella Gibson I didn’t know that either. In fact, I didn’t really care and just found out now, probably like her/him. So can you stop acting like you’re the smartes one on the planet and watch that goddamn mouth of yours?

I'd like to believe that Anatasia survived, but it is more likely that it was Maria that survived.
Things `n Stuff they’ve found all of their bodies. Sadly none of them survived
None of them survived, but you are right that it was Maria whose body was originally missing.
No not really. Maria and Alexie bodies were found together in 2007
No one survived..

The OA, a netflix series, is inspire by that and its soooo good ❤
For some more information, they were taken to the basement at 4am with they dog,and 3 maids too.
Glad to see someone else as obsessed as me lol
@@a1918-b4g certainly I am
@@gracebailey4174 How long have you been reading about them for
@@a1918-b4g since I was 12 in 23 now
When the bodies were originally discovered they actually didn't know whether it was Maria or Anastasia who was missing.
It’s really sad what happened to her and her family
it is!
