During this dark time, one of my Nani's old neighbors suggested that she perform Chhath Puja. With nothing left to lose, this suggestion became a ray of hope for her. She learned the rituals from the women who practiced them and followed everything faithfully. Miraculously, my Nanu recovered, surprising even the doctors.
