I've never ever seen a standing pilot that high ever and I've worked on thousands of gas millivolt systems.

Agree 100%….that is Not normal and could not be adjusted to normal.

Most pilot adjustments turn clockwise to increase the flame...Counter clockwise to decrease....In for increase and just Opposite a water faucet....Do fireplace valves do the opposite way furnace valves do?...If so, maybe it should be stated.

No one should try to watch this video for a solution because this guy has no idea what he is doing. That huge ass pilot flame is not normal.

😂 Bro, that “pilot” is massive! Probably should delete this video because viewers will think that’s normal.......
It should be blue and a fraction of the size. More like 1/2” not 10” 😂😂

Looks like the pilot spud wasn’t converted from natural gas to propane.

90% of time you can tap the pilot assembly several times while the pilot is running. Will free up any debris

Soot in the pilot orfice lol let some soapy water down the pilot head. Clear any soot stuck. Easy fix. Pilot should be blue flame
