AIM sponsor this man!
Eyyy I appreciate you my brother fingers crossed I do some day!
Im surprised you went ahead and got it fixed
My left stick on mine from a few years ago got drift and with the hidden fees (restock, etc) that you have to read small print in the email to even see, the fix wouldve cost me like 140 usd not including shipping, not including hall effect costs.
Its been sitting in a bin collecting dust since 2023 lol
My dualsense edge ive had since has absolutely no issues and i usually play 7-8 hours a day.
AIM not giving a lifetime warranty on stick drift is scummy
Especially when hall effect units are literally 10 cents-50 cents a piece on ali express
AIM is straight ripping folks off with their stick drift policies
Im glad youre happy though
Thats all that matters. 😊
By the way, my AIM controller altogether cost me 200 USD
They tried to tell me fixing drift and adding hall effects was essentially going to cost more than the entire controller i bought to begin with 😂
Ballocks i say
Looks like you either bought or they hooked you up with the digital face buttons too
I had those too :)
sup dude thank you for your comment, I was lucky to not get stick drift on this controller as it is something that can happen to controllers adding hall effect sticks is a better option but like you said it is very expensive and cheaper to install yourself by simply buying parts from sites like ali express but knowing me I would end up completely messing up the installation process as I tried to modify a controller before by purchasing extreme rate parts from amazon it depends how you want to go with it.
Since there is a limited offer to buy a new aim controller and add the hall effect stick free with your purchase I would take advantage of that because I most likely will send it back just to add the hall effect sticks to avoid the case of me getting stick drift but I did pay extra for the digital face buttons and love how they feel.
I did have to pay £20 for shipping but I didn't care I just wanted to get the paddles fixed but sending the controller off to get additional features it would cost less than I paid for this controller initially which was altogether £120 since I didn't fully customise it the paddles came remappable and the feature to change the triggers from hair triggers to normal triggers is what all the new aim controllers come with now which is handy I just didn't change the colour of the front face plate to save money.
In the future I might buy another one if there is another deal further down the line but I personally didn't like the dual sense edge mainly because of the poor battery life everything else is amazing and being able to swap the stick modules is a very innovative way of removing stick drift since to buy new ones is only like £20 but I hope eventually all basic controllers come with hall effect sticks!
@WayOfThePharaoh yeah man I'll try the brand again, everything was fine, but the pricing for that repair just seemed off by a wide margin
My aim lasted over a year before drift started, the other pro controllers like battle beaver lasted a few months.
Like you said, hopefully one day they will come stock OEM with the system.
@GraveMemories yeah it's all up to you really i got lucky having mine over a year with no stick drift but that's all down to the controllers sometimes it happens I had a battle beaver once and got stick drift after 1 week! That was back when I had a ps4 though I dont knownwhat is like in the states but all I know is it's around £20 for shipping so that's all you'd pay the price unless it's for stick drift which is not covered but I think at that point I'd rather change it to hall effect sticks then to throw it away or buy a new one for twice the price
