The land is live on is well known native territory (Peterborough, Ontario, or Nogojiwanong). When I was a young kid my cousins were over for a sleep over. Below my window was a small gravel path that leads to the backyard. And we heard very loud footsteps, and drumming going down right beside the house on the gravel. We could also hear people talking and singing in Anishinaabemowin. It was such a cool experience, and I just felt at ease.
This city isn't a reservation, but there are 3 different reservations in the surrounding area

I’m soooooo excited for this! I love that you are on The Rez. Our People are very, very, in touch with the spirit world. Y’all should come to North Dakota to Knife River Indian (Native AMERICAN,) Villages in Stanton. A lot of activity there.
By the time you are 10 years old, on the Rez, you’ve already been to probably 50-75 funerals and wakes.
I couldn't even IMAGINE going to that many funerals in 10 years. Y'all are so brave! Also I wanna ask a question but I don't wanna sound disrespectful or anything but I'm legitimately curious. So why are there so many deaths? Like 75 people dying in 10 years in such an enclosed area seems weird to me. I know it's normal but I'm 24 and I haven't been to 75 funerals in my life. I don't wanna sound disrespectful or insensitive but I do wanna know what's going on lol
@@lisachiappetti6092 hi Lisa. No offense taken at all love. 😊 I thank you for asking. So in our culture, you are raised in a very, very large circle of extended family. Alllllll cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles and many grandmas and grandpas. My grandmother was born in 1898! I knew her for 6 years before she went home to be with the Lord. She was a part of residential schooling and a child ripped from the arms of her Mother and Father and put into a Catholic school with abusive Nuns and “Father’s!”
On the reservation, everyone pretty much knows everyone. Deaths here atm are being caused now from the pandemic of fentanyl. Back when I was little, it was car accidents, sickness (diabetes, cancer, cirrhosis,) and yes, even old age. Rubber cement was even a cause of death at one point and time.
Being that we have such a close upbringing, you are expected to attend wakes and funerals of family and expected to bring blankets, warbonnets, star quilts, food etc. Our people are having a hard time health wise due to genetics of our ancestors. Milk, sugar, pasteurized foods, cheese etc. wipes even our young ones out. Our genetics do not like the things that were introduced and they suffer if they continue to imbibe in this diet. Our people drank mothers milk only to a certain age and then only drank water … until alcohol was introduced.
Now, a lot of our people are being lost to addiction, murder and suicide . Also, according to a study led by Princeton University, Native Americans have experienced higher rates of death from COVID-19 in comparison to other races. We have happiness though I promise. We find it in the blue sky God created, the clean air, the birds song and the laughter of our children. Not all is bad, but we have seen many of our families and friends go home far too soon. I hope this gave you a slight answer to a complex question. 💙

What we did way back then was obviously very not ok and it was very horrible that we did that to your people. So I'm sorry that you and your ancestors had to experience that. But mayhap within our souls that still communicate with the ancestors … we still feel imprisoned and it is why we remain on the reservation. However the opportunities out there are endless and some of it is ours for The taking. I appreciate you and I feel when you come across our people, you will have a kind word or smile and I pray You shall get the same. People forget nowadays, kindness goes so far. this is eye-opening for someone like me who comes from a tropical/rainy place that has a geography consisting almost entirely of limestone 😩
I live on the island of Guam, and the island is made of up limestone. It explains why everything here feels so... alive, and why ghosts here aren't ruled out as complete fake. We call ghost "taotaomo'na"

They say mediums are like lighthouses and if your grandpa knew there was some kind of connection to you he could of reached out to Amanda. My dad's biological dad who neither of us ever met reached out to me through a medium after he passed and I wasn't even trying to talk to him.

Another crazy coincidence is how it also talked about Mandy earlier on and when they asked if they were all Mandys it confirmed, and it said Godfrey, your name is Amanda Godfrey and you say your nickname is also Mandy like theirs, its so crazy maybe trying to reach out to you through them

When you were talking to the children in the first part of the video, I started crying for no reason. Tears just started streaming down my face and I could not explain why-there was no triggering emotions from myself.

And Mike!! And Thomas!! I’ve had owls outside my house in the middle of the city!!! For real this is insane 😮my boys have seen so many deer and owls at their dads and even coyotes lately. And like the other Amanda I also have been aware of spirits and things using animals for messages or purposes not so great.

When i tell you 38 minutes in that it sounded like native singing ( which is hauntingly beautiful in person like at ceremonies) trust me because these videos usually don’t scare me but the familiarity in the middle of the night while they are mid conversation and not trying to make contact …😮 spooky

That is amazing how the chair moved by itself. The guy wasn't anywhere near the chair and it didn't look like there was a cross-breeze from a fan in the room, so that looks like a spirit sat in the chair.
I love that Boo Bear and how it talks! I think I've seen other paranormal youtubers use a bear like that. Seems like a cool way to communicate with spirits other than the spiritbox and rempod.
