I could see this working.. you guys gotta keep in mind that audio amplifiers generate sine waves this means it will only power AC fan NOT DC. DC fans are brushless and have controllers that will filter out the frequencies and maybe even not spin at all. Look for a AC fan that operates between 24v~48v AC
@TheReal1inflater & adamphilips123 - It does not need any external power to get it to work. All you need is a amplifier with some juice and youre on your way. Sometimes you have to give the fan a little push to get it going, it took som tries here aswell. It's awesome though :D
How the hell did you make that? :D I have a spare fan, how did you attach the fan to the amplifier? Does it need power (12V) to make the noise? Or only hooking to an amplifier would make that? Its amazing...
I tried this but couldnt get it to work.i unplugged one of my speakers connected to my amp and connected the cable to my fan. How did you connect it to the amp?
yay!!! it work but the pretty cheap amp 'im using doesn't provided enought current to make it sound louder, i'll find another and then put a response to your video so people will see that works
i tried it, but cant get it to work..i unplugged one of the speakers connected to my amp and connected the fan to it...and nothing. do you have to use a headphone socket or something? How did u connect it to your amp?

lol, i'm goin to try it, it makes sense at least for me i made an hdd speaker and now i'm going to do a fan speaker!!!!
yeah it works, but with a 12v power fan, 10watts from an amp doesnt make it very loud, and it only just spins.

upppsss i forgot, i'll sound better if you stop the fan from moving
Just be careful how many watts you put through it so you don't burn it out.
BUBBLE BOBBLE!
I don't think it would work as you would need a much powerful amplifier than your soundcard :p
It's serious :) Try it out for yourself!
lol wtf?
Bull.
