Before there was Fox Mulder: The X-Files, there was Carl Kolchak: The Night Stalker (Darren McGavin). McGavin did guest star on the X-Files' 5th season (Travelers, 1998), as retired FBI Agent Arthur Dales. He recalls a story of the first X-file. It's a story set in the 1950s of an alien spider parasite, its human host named Edward Skur, and Mulder's father; "Bill."

It's explained later with him havimg abnormal Brain activity.... only thing that I'd like understand were the abductees infected with virus due Teresa Hose and Billy Miles having the same brain trauma.
