Thank you! I Needed this. Could you do one of each type of letter? A Loop letter, a up hill letter and a bump letter? That would be so very helpful. Thank you.
This little girl was 4 1/2 years old when we shot the video. She had not learned any phonograms yet, but this was the start of that process. Her mom was using SWR and Cursive First together.
Great question! The page you're seeing is included in the insert that comes with the Smart Pal Sleeves we have available on our web site. swrtraining.com/shop/penmanship/smart-pals/ However, there is a card in your phonogram cards that you can use for the same purpose; it's just a little smaller. Laminate the card and use a Vis-a-Vis marker to write directly it for instruction. Hope that helps!
The link you provided for the quick response sleeves is not working. Is there an error or is it no longer available? I'd really love to get that clock face sheet you show in the video. Cheers!
Thanks for letting me know, Sara! That product is no longer available on our site, but this one is even better, and I believe it's actually the sleeve shown in the video. swrtraining.com/shop/penmanship/smart-pals/
Great question, Amanda. I had the same question when I first heard of that as well. I'd suggest you look through our web site on these pages. swrtraining.com/cursive-first/ and swrtraining.com/cursive-first/rationales/. Also, listening to this podcast would be helpful. www.homeschoolsupport.net/teaching-cursive-first/
Thanks. Read the info in those sites. I already ordered and received the SWR curriculum and was watching all the video clips I could find in you tube. I now ordered the cursive first. Homeschooling 7 kids at the moment with 1 in high school and 3 non school aged children.
So helpful! I'm taking notes and feeling more confident in teaching my 5 year old Cursive first! Thank you!!!
I'm glad this is helping you, Brandy. :)

Thanks for this in-depth how-to.
Glad it helped.

How old is she when you started? Did she learn her sounds of the letters with cursive letters too?

I just purchased this curriculum but I didn't see a clock sheet like this. Did you make that or did it come with the curriculum?

@@LITHBTHEducationalServices I am looking for this clock sheet. Is it still available? I haven't been able to find it anywhere on SWR forum or sites.
@@sarahfletcher7714 If I remember correctly, I made that worksheet. It's easy enough to find one online. Sorry I don't have anything available.
Where can I find the clock?

I'm confused, could you tell me why they should learn cursive and not manuscript?
