About The Killers:
The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. Wow. When I watched the “original” version released commercially, I never got the sense that she committed suicide. Watching this version, it definitely makes the song more tragic and depressing than it was to begin with. Regardless, it’s a great song and an absolutely brilliant video. Among my all-time favorites.

I love how much in a change in direction the killers went after hot fuss. No one understands how much the actually reinvented them selfs. They burst on the scene unexpectedly with hot fuss and to come back the way they did with Sam's town is really incredible

You know how they say when you die you relive all of your memories in your head? that explains why we seen everything in reverse. We watched it all from her perspective. (She dove off the cliff)
I just hope people realise to never commit suicide over a relationship, there are always ways to get over it but never ending your life. Get support from your friends and family, relax and do things that make you happy and maybe one day, you will find the right guy.
You don't even need to find the right person, just be happy with yourself. Take care of yourself
And I thought the original version of this video was deep. Life can hit us all hard and push us to the feeling of hopelessness yet this song can be so uplifting and powerful.
I'm really proud of The Killers, probably my favorite band, and of course Brandon Flowers is my idol, each time they surprise me with their videos, in this one showing the mexican culture in a very deep song, proving the music is universal... they are legendary... And I have to say one of the best performance of mexican actors on this video

I had never ever seen this alternate version. The version which was commercially released was always on my mind. This version is certainly more heart wrenching. The female lead committing suicide in the beginning sets the premise for the entire video making it realistic and poignant. The entire direction is outstanding along with the cinematography and the editing which is flawless. In all, it's an exceptional music video one which will truly stand the test of time and never be forgotten.

I'll explain the story in the right direction, though.
The woman applies for a job at the bar, which is why he gives her the apron. The woman who leaves is his future mistress. It then shows her washing her feet, and his attraction to her. You then see them kissing, showing that they are in a relationship. You then see their wedding, and they are a happy devoted couple.
It then flashes to the affair, when the lady at the bar finally gets him in bed, and the wife leaves distraught.
The opening scene is actually the ending, caused by her witnessing his betrayal.
