We stayed in the Riu Monica when we holidayed in Nerja last year, it’s very nice and well situated, had no complaints at all and would stay there again. We booked Nerja after watching your video from last year Kevin so thanks for that, we loved it.
Kevin a lot of bars and shops close in August in Spain because of the heat, I know it sounds stupid because it’s the height of the European holiday season. We’ve been to Madrid and Granada and many places were closed. Thanks Kevin.
We were there a couple of years ago and spent a few nights in the bars across from the Rui Monica at night there was usually street performers every half an hour . They would move along only to be replaced by another one there was singers , guitarists, magicians even one chap playing the accordion. We stayed in the Perla Marina hotel which was good .when we were there the Beer Garden was a Scottish bar we will be back . Love all your videos 👍🏴

We never saw a lot of people around the reception area or public areas, the busiest place was down at the pool, more people were about at night when dinner was being served but the public areas are not well used.
Funny.....been going to Nerja...since I was 12 years old (55 year old now 🙄🤗) with my parents.....and at that time Hotel Monica was build, started my self to go on holiday there when 17 years old, and yeah back then also empty....all the guests are in front of the hotel and at the pool, what GREAT memories from there....❤❤ NERJA
I have been there in 2015 for 2 weeks ,i gues it was for 2 weeks, and in a rented flat - at that building in front at 11.30 in the vidio just over the restuarants nearly in the middle on 1. flor. was at great time ,good food close to the beach at at good motion to take a walk to the uppertown, and i visit ofen the bar in start at the vidio there at the corner, 1 euro a pint.
When I was a Thompson Rep in 2004, this was one of our favourite restaurants. Good food and conversation with the owner. It was also a 5 minute walk from the reps apartments and the owner was so kind to us all the food and drinks were heavily discounted.
Can’t understand why places would close for holidays in the middle of high season especially when it’s different from the Canaries as it doesn’t have a year round season.I know that Some areas do take holidays at this time because of the heat etc
@@BMW750Ldx There is a direct bus service from Malaga to Nerja for about €7 and a taxi, if booked in advance, costs €75. Metered taxi costs around €100 depending on traffic and stops in the way. Unlike the resorts to the west of Malaga ther are no trains to Nerja. ALSA is the bus company that operates the Malaga - Nerja route.
I’ll be here on Monday, never been to Nerja before. Can’t wait! Thanks so much for all your videos they’re so helpful!

The Ship has been around for years. Good food and atmosphere.

Anyone know if the British fish and chip restaurant is still there in the street opposite the Riu Monica ?
