@@lucasmaradei I agree. I think he might go 18-0 on that day. As much of a fan as I am of all of them...Levan is a different level of strength to all of them. I think he'd blast right through Todd's lock. I think his center of table is so strong that none of them could get into their comfort zone. The only way he might lose a match in the end is if they put Devon at the end, so that he could bleed him out after his 12 rounds he competed with the others.

Levan has a terrible condition of it too because his head was malformed before puberty.
Denis was " smaller " too when he was younger.
TL'DR = Levan, Dennis, and Oleg shouldn't be allowed to compete - they have a genetic defect. It's the same thing as a 7 foot tall kid with gigantism playing middle school basketball. It's innately unfair. If you disagree you're a moron.
In my opinion, John brzenk will forever be the greatest of all time. I believe though that Devon Larratt is the best of all time, his table IQ, his endurance, and his strengths make it hard to debate that. I want to get more into arm wrestling and hopefully someday be up there as well :).

@@Jordan-vr7ip yeah depends how heavily you weight tournaments. tbf tho, a lot of his issues not getting in tournaments early in his prime was his job as a member of the special forces. And then when he retired he basically focused solely on supermatches at that point, as he was the world's best supermatch puller at that time. But yes if you require major tournament victories to be the best ever, then certainly Devon is not #1

levan has a 3 year streak as undefeated having pulled 4 guys... prior to those years, he was a fucking bum who at a bodyweight of 140 still got clapped by guys weighing in at 110. Not much of a champion if you ask me, LOL

No one knows brother, there was a time when voevoda looked as the guy who hit the peak, like no one would ever touch his level, now levan, it is oviously possible to see another guy in future who will hit a peak which will make even levan look like an ameture, people are getting stronger with each generation

I have been following Jon Brzenk since 1987. He was, is and will forever be the best because he has beaten the best and he has done it with pure genetics unlike guys like Cyplenkov and Saginashvili who have clear signs of Gigantism because of their use of HGH. John at his best beats them all. Imagine if John actually trained to be at his peak. Unstoppable. Truly the GOAT. I love this video. I think I may subscribe! 😃

@@gurrac710 Dennis has benched 290kg I think Levan is 260kg Dennis has the strict curl record at 113kg. Levan hasn't superseded Dennis yet.
Devon beat John in 2008 when he was ill prepared and injured not saying it wouldn't have been the same result Devon was great that year and after. However John has beaten Devon 6 or 7 times and only once has Devon beaten John giving away 50lbs and 15 odd years.
Devon is top a 10 heavyweight a great ambassador for the sport but Cleve Dean Goodridge Puskar Dennis Voyevoda Brzynk and 1980s Lupkes etc would beat him best day for best day. He has possibly the second best technique and best stamina but lacks the horse power. If your measured by your competitors through design or fault he hasn't faced the best of his generation on the right Pushkar, Dennis etc etc.
Ask someone who knows like Engin he puts Devon a rung or two below the elites.

The more of the legacy of Brzenk that I see unfold, the more I'm honored to have witnessed him pull Shaw in West Virginia at my very first tournament. He shook my hand, and I realized he was just a normal man who had been doing this a loooong time and loved the table and the competition, the personal challenge to rise and overcome. That day will be one of my favorite memories till I die.
People usually get better with time, as far as I'm concerned, no one has ever been on the level that Levan is right now

Yes but it’s true that Devon likely won’t be as strong as before if they are wrestle soon because of his boxing hiatus and cutting all that weight. Devon really needs atleast 6 months after the boxing exhibition to get back to 100 percent and gain weight. If he has 6 months then no excuses.

Everybody will admit,
If you will put devon on the strong strong juice and give him 4-3 months to prepare and put the extra mass as much that he can.
Most likely that he will puch levan to the corner.
If devon will go to this edge, levan will become the underdog.
But we will never know since there is a big price in order to make this preparation, as well as injuries and infections and who knows what.
Eventually it's just another sport.

Comparing competition 30-40 years ago and now is like comparing bodybuilding or strongman then and now.
It changed so much and improved (not bodybuilding in my opinion)
That's right, like it or not, the levels of steroids and their quantity taken by athletes, are increasing more and more, look Arnold in the field of bodybuilding, nowadays it would be mediocre compared to the various Phill Heat Ronnie Coleman etc, same speech for the strongman , remember that just 20 years ago the deadlift record was 80kg less than the current record, I mean, genetics in strength sports matters and it is the first component, then there is the technique but the third factor is the quantity and the tolerance of steroids which have always increased over time

Arm wrestling needs proper weight classes
This is the only sport where the approach is the bigger the better
Other sports have proper weight classes and every athlete has his proper potential in his weight class
It has actually. Just not the super heavyweights because then people like levan will have no one to arm wrestle.
Super heavyweights competition is a ultimate strength test like strongman competition. So I don't think it should have weight cap.

I think Devon is the only current active puller that has the resume and longevity to eventually take the GOAT title from John. He has so much to accomplish to do it and would have to go on an amazing run to close out his career but he is the only one that even has a shot right now.

John Brzenk is the GOAT. There is no armwrestler today who can touch his career. No one. Most influential armwrestler in my humble opinion is Devon larratt, with John being a close second (again, just my opinion) Best of all time is something that I don't think can be answered now or in a year from now. But if in a couple of years no can beat levan, then, I think you have your answer. Denis would very much be in this conversation, if not front and centre had he not gotten sick. With puskar, we'll never know. Gone way to soon for such a brilliant armwrestler. Devon, well that story is still being written.

I decided to post this befor i see your answer, if the question was the strongest then id say levan but its not so i have to rule him out for now he may verywell be in the future but, the only person who i can think of that has been around the block almost as much as john an has as much if not more table knolage than john, an at 1 point was undeniably the best on both hands is devon, i dont think theres any1 who can armwrestle as much or for as long as him hes done the impossiable time an time again

Didnt you know? Andrey did flash pin dave chaffee in 2015 and we all know dave chaffee is always prepare, that proves how strong andrey is, maybe travis bagent could do the same , he did pin dave without a problem while leven did struggle a bit.....
I don't think it was a Bo6 but Andriy Pushkar did flash pin Dave right? I'm not sure what Dave's level was at but still pretty crazy.

No other athlete in the field of sport in general has managed to accumulate so much domination... This is just unbelievable...
John was easily the most naturally gifted of all time . He dominated the sport without blatantly abusing
his body to do so . That's what makes him so special , he was the " everyman " that anyone
could identify with, and yet possessed almost superhuman strength .
What is always (intentionally or hopefully unintentionally) missed is that armwrestling has been a sport of two arms for quite some time now. John is the right arm GOAT - no question. However, taking into account his active deployments during his (first) prime, Devon is the true GOAT. He was the first world champion on both arms, and dominated John on right and Pushkar on left.
