The fourth guy is like considered a "legend" singer in korea that the other three respect has hoobae and sunbae. I'm not sure exactly but he's sometimes a vocal teacher for certain ppl. Name is Kim yeon woo. TBH I didn't know him either until my mom told me 😂 I only know his songs. Didn't know it was him.
i'm not going to lie, Changmin was the most vocally impressive one in this performance. That harmonization throughout and that last piercing note was just amazing! My guess is since they needed Jinki to hold down the song vocally (his group's song, having him sing main in any group or duet sections gives it the grounding in the original it needs), and so he couldn't really do much vocal acrobatics. He just delivered a stunningly solid and strong performance vocally as per usual. Gotta say though, listening to this makes me appreciate Jonghyun's voice all over again. Seriously irreplaceable.
Jinki's position in the group is to basically ground the song while Jonghyun and Taemin are usually in charge of the more flashy things which is why he's the lead vocalist and he's damn good at it.
Hajar Mdn Can't agree with you more. I love it when people appreciate Onew not just as a singer, but also as SHINee's lead vocal. Bling bling's vocals may be the icing of the cake but Jinki's vocals is the baking powder that embodies the life of the cake itself.
Actually out of the three idols changmin is the weakest .....he is still amazing, but but the other two have better technique .... sandeul >>>> onew >> changmin. And it is mainly because he doesn't have a haed voice, he only uses falsetto.

Anyone notice that whenever Onew is involved in any collab (or even with Shinee tbh), his voice always seem to lead everyone else's? Even when there are several acclaimed/leading vocalists performing together, his voice always stands out.
His voice color suits that very well. His position in the group is basically to ground the song and lead the whole groups while the other are in charge of the flashiness of the song (can't really find a good word for it) since he's the lead vocalist and since he has a distinctive voice, his position doesn't even shined over by the other members' voices and it makes the whole group into a even playing ground. How SM managed to put such a group together is seriously beyond me, each member has its own distinctive position yet are still in the spotlight with their flawless performence
Yeah, I've always felt like Jonghyun and Onew complemented each other well in that way when it comes to Shinee, especially in their earlier years; Jonghyun's voice is often the focusing point while Onew's would be the one to lead but also tie all of their voices together. I often think that he (and maybe Key too) is the best in the group when it comes to harmonizing with others (including female singers) even when his voice is so distinctive. I feel like OnKey are probably the most versatile in terms of singing? But the whole group is just amazing.
Key gets some really nice harmonies and helps strengthen the other members' voices too when they get to relax and sing without dancing ( the Muzik in their Replay performance comes to mind, but that was back in 2012; I can't seem to think of any recent times he's done so, but he probably has. It's a lot more noticeable in early SHINee, which I count Lucifer as being. )
I love the fact that there is Sandeul that sings emotionally on stage like a pro which melt our hearts and there is this Sandeul that's just having fun singing but still slaying
