I think everyone agrees that Legion needs a rules update. Since the rules are a living online document they can change almost anything as part of a regular update/hotfix. For former X-Wing players 2.0 means throw out all of your cardboard and buy new cardboard because the core stats/characteristics of the game have dramatically changed. For former Warhammer players 2.0 would mean throw out all of your expensive books and get ready to buy new ones that are almost exactly the same. To me a Legion 2.0 would have to be something that couldn't be fixed with just a regular update to the rules document or an errata to a few individual cards. This could include changing the dice that are used, the movement tools, the base sizes, the existence or format of the different card types like objective/condition/deployment/command/unit/upgrade cards. They broke cover with a regular update so they could just as easily fix it with another update(it should be as easy as copy and paste the cover rules from the previous document). If in every regular update they just incorporated all of the forum rulings into the rulebook then the average legion player could keep mostly up to date by just referring to 1 document. Anyways I enjoyed listening to the discussion on both podcasts so thank you.
2.0 could work well, I wouldn't want much in the way of rule changes more hope they revisit the older units and adjust their cards to make them more relevant.
Talking about balance... I think it depends on how you relate to the game: if you are in a strong competitive meta zone, then probably is not that balanced. But if you look at casual play, I think you can still win a game with almost any list if you play it right: you can still win a game with Han, Leia and Chewie, Maul can win games, etc. I am playing clones for about 3 years now (over 100 games) and I never had an easy game, and my win ration is negative and most of the games weren't against other clones.
Legion is in a decent place right now, but I think a 2.0 would offer a lot of opportunities to do the following: Clean up rules that are not easy to interpret or work in ridiculous ways (like cover) Improve certain rules like Expert Climber that don't really have clear purposes anymore Refresh rules for units or upgrades that don't get play (e.g. MPL-57 and AT-RT) Give some height advantages to units other than Geonosians Add new objectives, deployments and conditions Add more characters
After watching both videos discussing a version 2.0: everyone is asking for the same things, just using a different name for the changes.

3:18 Sooo, like it was before AMG took over? 😂
Elephant in the room is that AMG doesn't do a great job with this game
Yep. 2.0 becomes a passable idea as long as AMG doesn't have anything to do with it. Just outsource it to Davy :P

Thats Interesting from the group we play with its empire that are so far ahead than the other factions and the clones are near the bottom of the pile?
Love this unit

I think force barrier needs to be 20 points and only block 1 hit or 1 crit.
Is this a bit
