Good video and good info thanks. I really like your set up. That first female couldn't decide should I bite him lol. I have two 2017 F2 Roseline Guyana's that I hope will give me some awesome babies in the near future!
I ordered a T10 AP cage end of Nov, and they will finally ship it out this week. My yearling Guyana female is getting a little to big for the 20L tank. I went to beach and got some driftwood to put in it. I have been doing a sm. rat every 2 weeks.
For small snakes, I use long fiber sphagnum moss. For bigger snakes, I use a mix of sphag. and coconut chunks and sometimes other things like coco coir or organic soil or peat moss or dried leaves. I grow isopods in lots of my humid hides, so you kind make a blend for them.
IME, they all calm down, but they all hold their young personalities. In other words, they all get better. But, the calm ones will always be calmer and the nervous ones will always be a little bit nervous. The one that I was handling at the end is getting better, but still strikes most handling sessions.
Congrats on the new snake. The people that have success with boas and exo terras tend to live somewhere warm and humid or they have reptile rooms that are warm and humid. As a general rule, it is hard to keep the right humidity and temps in a cage with an open top. Basically, you have to heat it heavily because there is so much ventilation, and that heat dries it out. It's much better to have a limited amount of side ventilation. I'd be starting a year old snake in a rack or a tub with a heat mat on a thermostat. Cheers!
@@EvanKayExotics would it be more recommend if I were to use a tub rather than a cage ? I don’t have a snake rack but I can get a secure lid and use it until he grows big enough for his pvc cage ?
Sorry, I do not sell on youtube and I am sold out. I am a very small scale hobbyist so have babies infrequently. Subscribe to my channel. I post videos about new litters.
This vid made me feel way better about getting a Peruvian 🤣 I’ve been stresssssing
Thanks for watching, Miles. They are amazing animals. So long as you are careful to set them up right, there isn't a need to stress.
Nice work Evan. Would love to see updates on these guys
Coming soon!
Thank YOU from a new Boa owner.
I'm glad you found it useful.
These Guyanas are amazing Evan!
Thanks, very kind! Good luck this season.
Good looking BCC's for sure!!!
Thanks, Craig.

Sounds about right for AP cages. The ones in my room are all AP, and it's a 7 month wait. The 4 foot cage I showed is a t10.
Great video bro and awesome boas 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I just subscribed to your channel
Thanks, Patrick.
Evan, what substrate do you have in your humid hide boxes? Moss or Cypress mulch or something else?

Thanks! I have a 2024 Suriname and want to keep the humidity up.
Pretty red tails
thanks!
Nice boas,👍🏾
Thank you very much.
Do the nervous ones eventually calm down? Or are they always going to remain snappy even as adults?

I’m picking up a year old true red tail boa is it okay for me to have a 40 gallon exo terra thank until the 4 foot pvc cage can come in

Where r u situated, do you ship to canada and what r the prices of the redtails
Thanks for your interest. I am US based and do not ship to Canada. I do not sell animals over youtube as it's against their policies. :)
Hello how would I get in contact with you about one of these snakes? I’ve been looking to get one for a while
I'm currently sold out.
Do you have any Suriname
I don't work with them.
I want one. Can you sell?

Any females left ?
No, sorry.
