- A cool trick I figured out on how to do knotless on locs. I usually use 3 locs but I learned a method using only oneeee loc!!! Yes, 1 😅 hope this video helps someone!!!! #braids #braidsoverlocs #knotlessbraids #knotlessbraidsoverlocs
Pause pause pause! So I have watched so many RUclips videos on braids over locs. Every finished style looked so bulky and heavy. I watched your video several times and I said let me see what she does different. The using the dreads as the 3rd leg? Game changer. I took down my braids and currently redoing this method. I’ve been feening to braid my hair since I started my locs. I only do knotless and didn’t know how that would work but thank you so much.
The crochet needle method works great. Pull the braiding hair through the base of your locs use the loc (preferable not after a fresh retwist so it's not too tight). I do this for knotless braids and kinky twists. wanna try it with passion twists soon

I made a few calls to hair salons near me , to see if they could do knotless on my lil locs & they said no & I’m surprised because I envisioned how they would braid it & you did just what I envisioned; in my head I’m like yeah they lost out on my money. . Ik my comment is late but when u crochet it did any of the braiding hair get embedded into your locs when u were taking it down ?

I did the same started using the crochet then braid it. But I love the fact that we can do this over locs and still get that natural affect
@@zyy3498I'm even later, I'm sorry love. I didn't have any embed in my locs. I had them up for about a month bc my nephew wanted matching hairstyles for his birthday so I had to bring the locs back and wear them monkey roped with him lol. But nope...no ma'am, no stuck hair. 😊

Idk if they were trying to warn me not to do it, but I don’t see the problem 🤷♀️. I thought tht was a good thing 😅. Yes I would say 1 month is good because you don’t want it to get old and start tugging on your loc lol don’t wanna have too much tension. I kept them in about 3 weeks

Thank you!! i used about 5 packs of the MADYE prestretched hair 26inches (pink packs) i used so much because I had to use a piece to extend the length lol

I’ve never done my own braids before so I have a question! When do you know to add more hair? Or is it just for length?
Uhhhh let me see how I can explain it, lol When you do knotless you just add it in depending on the thickness so I just add like 3 small pieces to get the desired thickness then I’ll add another piece to extend the length!
