I love this video! This is exactly why as we transitioned to MP in our 2nd and 4th grade, I actually placed my children in 1st and 3rd. I really thought 3rd grade was the perfect year to start these transitions and for him in particular being new to MP and legitimate classical pedagogy. I really wanted him to begin learning and using those study skills. I’m so thankful for MP!

This podcast is packed with great information. I switched from BJU to Memoria Press . We really value how every subject connects in some way and my children are in awe when they see the connection ( ex. Cricket in Time Square & Greek Myths -Orpheus) (Astronomy & Greek Myths). This curriculum is the easiest I've seen for a parent to use. This method really helps students understand and remember what they learned. Thanks Memoria Press. Looking forward to part 2.

I'm deep in the middle of full core Memoria Press third grade. This was so very helpful and informative. I even showed my student the part about cursive to hopefully reinforce why he needs to keep working at it. I can't wait for part 2.

Thank you so much for this talk. It’s super helpful. I am adding in MP for my 4th and 6th grader. Hoping to get Latin, Classical Studies, Literature guides and possibly Christian studies. I might wait until the fall for Christian studies , not sure yet but definitely adding in those three ASAP. The website is ALOT but I think I have sorta figured it out 😉

For someone who really wants to implement a classical education with my upcoming 3rd grader, but cannot afford the entire curriculum, where should we start?

Are you on Facebook? If so, there are several homeschool groups where people resale curricula. Another option is to purchase the guides and try to get the literature and read alouds from the library.
