As someone with Asperger's I have to say River is by far my favorite and I believe best depiction of Asperger's in any media. It's so honest and raw without outright telling you.

I wish there could be an animated version of this. Even just an anime or whatsoever. It's better to watch it in motion... it could bring much for tears

Cause it explains many things: - The toy John gave to River - The moon, the rebbits, the lighthouse... - River's questions to John about paper rabbits, they are repeated all over again through his life - because of Joey's death, John may forget this day, but he still have something inside that pushed him to talk to River in high-school PS: I still have a question whether Joey died or John died because of the accident. Because I notice the scene when Dr. Rosaline try to move River and Dr. Watt find a body (I thought it was dead Joey). But it turned out that John was lying there and said "Hi". Just a assumption that John was actually died, not Joey. But Joey decided to replace John, that's why the after-John likes olive and the comic so much. The common understanding maybe because of Joey's death, John decide to like olive and the comic series.
I also have a question . As Eva let Joey live in John's alternative memory, that means John did'nt take the beta blockers. So he should have remembered this first meeting. So the next year both John and River will get here and meet again but why it seems like John and River did not see each other after Eva sent River away until they were at NASA

I see your point, if John wanted to meet River sooner so the memory will be like that. But rather than meeting in the festival, he could decided to meet River on the moon right? Maybe, because the talking under the moon is so important to him.
Eva moved River away to make motivation for John to go to the moon as the contract. It a happy ending in the dream, but real life is so sad, their promise is forever oblivious.

Especially since the meaning behind going to the moon was literally being with River again. So yes, he’ll only have one brother but there won’t be another River. His source of happiness was River.

It wasn't false memories, he got to imagine a life where nothing made him forget their first meeting. And his mind grabbed onto it like it was gold, and the life he imagined himself living was all striving to meet up with River again like he promised. It's a beautiful glimpse into what motivates him. In reality, River always tried to make him remember their first meeting and the life he had before, and it hurt her not being able to help him. This treatment helped him.
River died wanting John to remember, but she had no way of achieving it herself. Sigmund Corp basically did the job for her. Sure he had false memories, but he regained the one which was most important, and in the process he was able to understand her in a way he couldn't in real life.
After playing P5R I can just say im kind of conflicted. spoilers for P5R and to the moon series... Maruki's idea having everyones wishes granted to them would be a nice gesture having dead people comeback to life, a cure that couldve saved River, in finding paradise maybe having Faye turned to life (which i mind you will break alot of the story elements of finding paradise saying living without regrets and such when your literal imagination says its fine breaks the meaning. ) and in imposter factory...that the watts family would live a happy life without the looming presence of death fall upon them, neil having the life he always wanted but thats just a wish yes hopes and wish drives ambition but having your wishes granted to you in a silver platter that would just make everyone a winner because of 1 guy seeing what would be the best for you we have to make our own destiny and for some it looks very awesome and cool but in real life it SCARY making your destiny is realizing the worlds fuck ups are on your own and because made it that way but in the end it will always matter how you did it. I'm just sad that neil died he was my favorite character and the many implications that he was sick there couldve been many things that couldve healed him... im just distraught that he had to die.
