Thank you Julie!!! It is a wonderful challenge to give time to one’s self!! Good to remember we are not work horses. And even work horses get to rest!!!🐎🐎🐎
I was indoctrinated with 1970s and 80s parenting style of 'you must work hard'. At arojnd 26, I realised 'just leave it!' 😊. I undid that horrible dictatorial 'you must do' programming ❤
I dislike when people at work say on a monday oh what did you do at the weekend? when i say nothing really, just read my kindle... their face goes blank and they dont know what to say next as the conversation has nowhere to go, almost feel i need to make something exciting up as my life sounds boring but I enjoy just sitting reading my kindle or watching a good film or going for a walk in nature. I found it hard to begin with as could hear my mums voice saying got a day off the weathers nice should be out doing something its a waste of a day otherwise- i still hear that sentence in my head and i have to fight it as it makes me feel guilty for not doing something on a day off work. Reading and taking time out to unwind and just be is self care so Im caring for me as someones got to do it 😂
Gosh, Julie, it sounds like you are talking about my boss. Whenever he sees I'm getting on with the tasks in hand, he always gives me another list of things to do, as though the idea that anyone should arrive at the end of a to-do list is not being productive enough. However, today, I'm in bed, drinking tea and binge-watching your videos, and enjoying the me time!
We are human BEINGS not human DOINGS, as a fellow Virgo, relaxing is not my usual mode, and I'm embracing being more and doing smarter, not more or harder...
Unfortunately it does not get done for me. My adult daughter does nothing yet throws clothes n several rooms and uses two of three baths - doesn’t do own laundry. Doesn’t do a dish although using 8/10 of them. Allows father over who leaves strange trash laying around. I’ve set strong boundaries. No one listens. Screamed. Changed locks. I love this reading of only my house could be 1/3 clean and my own. As always I love and respect all your readings. This one is beautiful if I could just be alone 💖
Lazy is great if you make sure you do your chores. Not okay to be lazy and dump your chores on someone else. Not okay to be lazy if your house is disorganized and cluttered and piles and piles of things for years.
It’s finding things you enjoy doing in that spare time. Some suggestions. Join things, build community, hobbies, learn new things, do an online course.
I would personally suggest thinking about what you enjoy. What makes you happy? What puts you into that "flow" state of mind where time passes so peacefully? I have cats and I love playing with them. I also do paper crafting, which I love because it's creating. 😊 And it's not like crochet or cross stitch which take so long to finish.
We are not all set in a certain pattern regarding old age or retirement. Circumstances are more varied and choices fewer. This subject should hold more content 😌
When you were doing this talk, I got part of a song stuck in my head. Lazy by Bing Crosby. It is part of the Holiday Inn movie. You might enjoy it. Christina 🦝
Perfect timing for me to hear and receive this message. Thank you ❤
Especially for us poor kids who were at boarding school. Later sounds good.

Amen.
Yes an old program! 2024 has been my year learning to just be. This is a very helpful message.
I was practically a slave in childhood.
Thanks for this.
Thanks Julie

Dear Julie. Please consider those of us who now sit with too much time in retirement years. On the shelf we are. Your views, please. ❤
