    I have travelled the Ryde Pierhead to Cowes behind those lovely steam engines many times,. lovely video of happy days.

    I remember those old London trains that colour. We use 2 call them cattle trucks as they were always full of people in the 70s especially on Saturdays with people arriving and leaving. The run between ryde st Johns and brading was the longest and speed up that you rocked about and your bum would lift of the seat. Good memories ha also remember where so packed on trains that I sat on our suitcase as no seat available.

    Small correction - the original electric stock as shown was 1923 designed stock - the 1938 stock was a later replacement

      Definitely Fred Dinenage and yes I didn’t realise that’s how you spell his surname either lol!
