We visited Cabresto Lake July 14 2021. You can easily reach the trail head via 2WD truck. If you are careful a car can get in too. The views are awesome.
Nice place. I do landscape photography using very large cameras and film. I have to plan this for in the fall to be there pre-sunrise. Maybe take my tent and my sleeping bag and camp out.
