Can't wait how the Small Railway Engines thumbnail is gonna look
That's still a ways away!
@@ericfasold805 Like approximately 6 months
@@deadchannel8262 if we're lucky! lol
I’m so excited for that one
@Let's Go why? It was pretty good.
Another nice episode!
I like that gag at the end with the error of Douglas's nameplate which wasn't censored in the restored version. XD
I’m glad that this was updated with all the new information we now know about the missing episode ‘The Missing Coach.’ Like many fans, I really hope that the filmed footage gets released and perhaps even finished (like getting Ringo Starr to narrate the episode as planned)
Well you know because of the CGI episodes and the ugh season 😑 🙄 😒 😪 25 happening im not saying it won't happen but with Mattel in charge of Thomas and Friends and season 25 is worth of a James yuck from the classic model series for when he says it in the episode dirty object to the trucks
@@colinheinlein1931 it won't happen everrr
I suspect Ringo did the narration for it in 1985/86 anyway. There is a notable difference in audio quality between the intro scene and the "there was a brakevan in the yard" scene.
Love the ‘Donald where’s your trousers instrumental’ in the background at the beginning.
Amazing work
The nameplate at the end was hilarious
George Carlin sure does a good Ringo Starr Impression
For Donald’s accident in the signal-box, he was either being clumsy or trying to risk to keep his brother from being returned to Scotland and scrapped
The latter reason is hinted at in the book.
This book does have the fewest adaptations from WILBERT Awdreys original series. But in ALL the railway series books, written by him and the ones written by his son ALL TOGETHER, “Toby Trucks and Trouble” has the fewest adaptations of all. Because only one of its stories was adapted for television.
Another great video and I like that you included the leaked stills from last year. I think the reason why the twins weren't repainted blue for the television series is because of budget and/or impracticality.
Do you seriously think it would make a difference?
It would look Ugly if there were too many blue engines.
@@stuartsamtheunoriginaledit2790 Yes, I do, because it's staying faithful to The Railway Series. The twins chose blue because that's the colour they would have been on the Caledonian Railway.
Anyway, there are lots of green engines. Some might say "too many".
I think they weren’t painted blue because of how the series where filmed
They build a set, filmed all the scènes of that season om that set, dismantel the set and build the next one
So it would be impossible to paint them blue or they would need another set of models but that would be out of budget
@@gregkiteos1936 classic series wise there is only Duck, Henry, Oliver and Percy.
@@LNERA3PRODUCTIONS why would they need another model? They can paint them blue if they wanted. And they didn't so it was their choice
3:36 just like Annie and Clarabel, the Spiteful Brake Van's basis are different in both The Railway Series and television series
@Joshua W56 too bad it didnt get adapted due to budget issues
Yer a mocale nuisanze! It’z ta leeve ya behind, I’d bi wantin’.
Technically, the livery of Donald & Douglas is LMS black. The Caledonian Railway became part of the LMS - as they opperated services from London, the east and west Midlands & Scotland. The livery was continued by British Railways.
GB Railfreight continued Brunswick Green, BR 'Double Arrow' and BR Trainload Freight Construction liveries for 3 of it's Class 66 locos.
When British Railways came in, Donald and Douglas would have had the LMS branding replaced with the BR lion crest and the 57646 & 57647 numbers applied.
This was a very good analysis.
This is one of those times that the book should be a total number of “2/4 stories adapted for TV” but ends up being “4/4 stories adapted into 3 episodes for TV” because of 1 episode being almost completed by the production team
There is a bit of footage of ' Hello Twins and The Missing Coach ' from ' Break Van ' though it feels like a three part story for the first and only time.
Love it
Wow
The Selfless Hero, who got the productuon photos leaked. Thank you, you've done the fandom a great Service.
Well I gotta say it’s epic and awesome and great and 👍👍🏻
Although Hullo twins and The missing coach were cancelled, it can be possible that their events still happen. After all, break can mentions how 1 of the Scottish twins were expected and both of them get new numbers.
The hasty beginning of break van mentions some events of hullo twins and the missing coach, noting that their events still should take place during this story
It back Bois!
This is the finest cocoa👌
Note you can see Henry and Gordon chuckle at Douglas’s joke
The conductor jumps clear
Ock eie dougie, you'll burst me wee safety value ya muckul nuisance
Man, a lot of important people died in 2008
Yeah late 2008 was the beginning of the end of the good olé days.
I’m sorry but the thumbnail makes it look like Donald and Douglas are trying to hold back their laughs the first time they heard Sir Toppham Hat’s nickname.
Donald: Yer a muckle nuisanze! It’z ta leeve ya behind, I’d bi wantin’.
Van: You can’t! I’m essential.
Donald: Auk! Are ya? Yer bath in’ bat a sqreeckin’ in a noise wen al’s set she dune. Spite Doggie, would ya? Tak rhat!
Van: Ow-ah-ohh!
Donald: There’z moar coomin’ syne ya misbehave.
I like this
The Missing Coach brought me here
7:35 i think your right black suits donald and douglas's liveries to make them unique because to me their livery remudns me of a scottish traditional outfit and kilt
8:13 what the (henry's whistles****)
Thats some noice cocoa
Break Van (AKA Donald & Douglas episode)
sirtopham hatt in the railway series and the tv series seems to really dislike donald and douglas
book vs some screenshots
#4 and 3 are in a yard with the twins either side; in Tidmouth Sheds at night, twins are on one side outside the berths
missing coach is a 3rd class Stroudley instead of a red and cream Mk 1
Donald's tender's in a distant shed instead of just behind Douglas
Request: the railway series book 22 the small railway engines (spot the differences ) tit for tat Mike's whistle useful railway finally you are now going to the cgi series
Cool The Finest Cocoa
I do prefer Kenney (sp?)'s artwork, I have to say. The Spiteful Brakevan has always bothered me though; it has a face, it talks, it has a personality, but it's completely torn apart, and its face, it seems, with it. Isn't that at the very least manslaughter (perhaps deliberate)?
lol i just realized he uploaded it.
What is with the 2nd voice on the show clips? Seriously jarring, was that done to prevent youtube detecting copyright?
That end though XD
Nice
Hullo, Twins!
I'm surprised you didn't say in the video why you uploaded this. I'm also surprised you didn't even say that in the title of this video where at the end of the video's title you could've said reuploaded in parentheses.
Cool
is this a new video?
Did you say 2 engines, inspector?
this is the fiest cocoa
With Donald and Douglas save Thomas and the Christmas tree from the snow that fell on him and then the Fat Controller let's Donald and Douglas stay on the Island of Sodor after they save Thomas and the Christmas tree from the snow to save their Christmas party on the Island of Sodor I haven't seen the UK version for when they save Henry from the snow and when Donald and Douglas save Thomas and the Christmas tree from the snow Gordon, Percy, James, Duck, Henry, Thomas, Donald, and Douglas all cheer that they get to stay like how they do in the episode for when Donald and Douglas save Henry from the snow
Is that Jeffrey Kitsch ????
The reason why both came was cause they’d be scrapped in Scotland
I respect Britt, but I don’t get how she found the plot of The Missing Coach confusing.
@Joshua W56 Before you mean. And yes, Britt didn’t always make good choices. Don’t get me wrong, she is a really nice, well meaning woman, but she needed to get a few of her priorities straight.
Man, Willie Rushton misses the feeling of the character too much of the time. He managed to skip right through Percy's deputation where Ringo made him sound a bit like Oliver Twist.
#thecaseofthemissingcoachepisode
I can appreciate why Britt Allcroft would pass over 'The Missing Coach'. Douglas shunts the coaches to a siding adjacent to the station, Donald and Douglas and their drivers observe the resulting commotion, the tender switch occurs...all within convenient witness of Sir Topham Hatt as the ultimate indication; in reality they would have not been able to get away with it. Regards, Samuel Farris.
