I really appreciate you saying that! Extremely kind of you and I’m looking forward to continuing to make more content that hopefully everyone can enjoy. Big things on the way!
3-1 against Denver split with twolves , win against Boston , lakers are an issue, wins on the national stage check, last time to lose three in a row? home record check road record check division record check, conference record check 1st in west … only check missing, not old
Great video. I loved the in depth look at the end. I'm holding though, I really think giddey will be moved so Lu and Jdub can play 2&3, Cason Wallace/Isiah Joe can get more minutes, and hopefully we get our hands on a Aaron Gordon/Bam Adebayo archetype kind of guy.🤞⛈️⛈️
I'm not very concerned with the offensive boards. They have the second highest shooting percentage in the league, which means (if everybody shot the same amount) they have the second fewest opportunities for offensive boards. So that makes sense. It's the defensive side that's concerning. Their opponents have three third LOWEST shooting percentage (largely because of the Thunder leading in blocks), do there are a lot of opportunities for defensive boards, so they should rate higher. The Stocks definitely help, and they're among the best defensive teams because of them, and it makes them incredibly fun to watch, but if they don't make a deep playoff run, it'll be because of the rebounding woes. The Lakers and Anthony Davis have been a huge problem for them. As have the Kings with Sabonis. They're 7-8 versus the top 4 rebounding players (Sabonis, Gobert, Davis, Jokic), and 4-7 if you take away Jokic. And there's a high chance they could see the Lakers or Kings in the first round.
I understand that the Thunder put a premium on getting back on defense over offensive rebounds, BUT I see not getting defensive rebounds as not finishing the job. Getting a team to miss a jump shot only to give up a layup because you don't secure the ball is a failure. Look at the 2012 NBA Finals, the Thunder only won the first game and it was the only one they won the rebounds battle. I realize this is a different team, but rebounds are a key stat in the playoffs.
The state day if they win the stops they are undefeated win the rebounding really good lose rebounding a good team lose the stops lottery team.. it’s about stops .. they are a top offense and defense, no team gave the younguns all them wins.. they are better right now than start of season stay tuned… stock that popcorn
Nothing wrong here. Like I said in the video rebounding is a part of defense. I don’t think the Thunder’s offensive rebounding habits will change in the post season, but I’m right there with you about finishing possessions defensively and grabbing boards. Teams are too good to give them multiple chances by not rebounding on defense.
Tony, please don't view my comment as negative. I am overwhelmed by just how good this team is. I truly believe this is a foundation for the best Thunder team to date. On today's First Take, JJ Redick asked if anyone was noticing the "Death Star" Presti was building in OKC. THAT is how good this team is becoming. The MJ Era Bulls were great, but once they added Rodman they became unstoppable. Just as Michael pointed out, when the Thunder win both STOCKS and rebounds, they are 11 and 0, once the Bulls added MJ and Pippen's STOCKS with Rodman's rebounds they became one of, if not THE, best teams of all time.
I am a thunder fan in and out but playoffs is different, the weather is different, players tend too show more in April and May. I'm just glad we are top contenders. I'm not knocking the starters but the bench is crazy
Dude if you keep doing this for a while, you’ll be successful on this platform. Good storytelling, excellent insight. It’s great stuff, well done.

Experience matters more than anything it’s what’s keeping Boston from its why they lose to a less talented team all the time

You counter rebounding by not giving up the quick bucket on the offensive board they can get em all day as long as they don’t make em
The best record in the West. The proof is in the pudding.
