- What a wreck! Check out how we helped this horse get comfortable and back to being happy!
That poor thing!! I can’t stand it when people neglect their horse’s hooves. I hope the horse is doing better now.
I love that you don’t just look at the ‘what,’ but also the ‘why.’ Your focus is the comfort of the horse. I wasn’t raised around horses but you are helping me to understand how good foot care can make a difference in the wellbeing of these magnificent creatures.
Thank you for doing these videos. I'm learning so much about the importance of good foot care, a good farrier and regular trims.
The X-rays are important. I hope you can fix him. I bought a OTTTB and it took a year to get his feet good. But afterwards, he went barefoot a lot, and his feet were perfect. I’m guessing his diet from before was not good enough. Plus he was stall kept. I have mine out 24/7 on all natural pasture. It makes a big difference in the feet and overall health.
Is there an update in this horse? I would love to see how much its hooves improved over time!
Glad you were able to help this one! And thanks for explaining it to us.
I admit that I am the biggest greenhorn around. An entire new world was opened to me by your videos sir and I thank you. Had no idea the work and care that goes into keeping hooves in great condition. Just always loved horses since watching Roy Rogers many many years ago. So dang interesting.
That is excellent work and an excellent run through on the problems and how you address them. I had no idea that x-raying horse's hooves was a thing and yet it makes so much sense!
Love the fact that u get xrays to see whats going on with the bone!!
Great work, great improvement in his angles,. Look forward to the future shoeings.
I really appreciate how clear your explanations are on the many videos I’ve watched thank you for sharing
That was a long message the caller left!
It would be nice to see successive videos of these horses that are in bad shape to illustrate how they improve.
I had no idea how much technical expertise is needed. Incredible work!!
And God bless the rest of world🕊🙌🏻
No, just America. Everybody knows God loves only America. South America? North America? Fuck. Both.
La verdad es que estoy muy sorprendida con la modernidad de tu trabajo y además de la forma que explicar de un modo bien de docente , buenísimo y muchas Gracias.!!!!!
Excellent job achieved good support and better balance . can't work miracles in first shoeing on neglected feet but you really did a super job.
Great explanation. Yes, God bless America!!
Beautiful
Love your explanations. Subscribed!
100% spot on
Excellent explanation, thank you for all your expertise.
Good job .
Awesome video! What do you use to edit them?
You guys aren't just "Ferriers," you're "Orthopedic Magicians for Horses!!"
Awesome👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ist there an Update possible ?
By u correcting his feet and alignment will he grow more wall or sole? How many shoeings will it take to get his feet in a better feel for the horse?
He said 2 shoeing cycles would fix it, that would be aprox 8-12 weeks total. Since you are supposed to trim your horses feet every 4 - 6 weeks.
Is there a video of you fixing him? or are we just looking at pictures?
I showed what we did in pictures no videos on this one.
That dental impression looks like McDonald’s cheese
Pour horse. Thank you for getting his feet right again.
😍🙏🏼
Lol I thought someone was FaceTiming me
over 100k people have checked their phone while watching this. :)
👏👏👏🇺🇸
What did horses do before farriers… before human intervention?
Human intervention is a mixed bag... we can fix problems but we can also cause them. Seems like a lot of this horse’s issues were caused by a shoe being kept on way too long without a trim, which isn’t an issue a wild horse would encounter!
Perhaps it wasn’t the man that shoed him, perhaps it was the horse owner not getting a reset and the horse got overdue.
It was probably the owner that thinks he's a farrier..
To tight to spend the money on his horses maintenance
He said the farrier DID do a good job, and that the problem WAS the feet being overdue. 😉
I hope the owner learns to stay on schedule. Looks good

I know almost jack squat about horse hoofs, but even I could see that horse's hoof was not good!
Heel looks unbalanced and continues to be underslung and rolled in .
Shoe is temporary fix. Bandage
A natural well balanced barefoot trim will get that hoof in order.
Look into it boys.
You'll be amazed at the results!
Honestly, how does someone watch a video by a highly trained and certified person, meaning they’ve passed multiple levels of testing, and then have the gall to comment “if only you’d educated yourself”?
@@DanielDauphin it was probably his God Bless America that triggered her. Some people just absolutely lose it when God is mentioned.
@@kayBTR Don't know but I hope the horse is OK. I know the farrier cares about his horses.
That horse does not have enough sole to be comfortable bare.
@@ruthhamilton4882 hoof boots are an option
Great videos, great channel! God Bless America---- but not Donald Trump!
Yeah bruh amerikkka needs to be blessed fuh real. I'm asking because I don't know. Someone please answer me. Why do horses have to be shod? Wild horses are not shod what is the difference?
Natural selection vs breeding.
In the wild, horses with bad hooves don't make it and don't get to pass on their genes.
Mustangs have famously good hooves and can often go without shoes.
Horses in captivity are bred for looks and performance, not hardiness.
They also have to carry a rider, which increases wear and tear.
Another point i like to make is that while staying as close to "natural" as possible in all aspects of care is usually best, the average life of a wild horse is only 15 years. Certain aspects of modern care- dental care being #1 - make it possible for horses to live happy lives into their 30s.
Shameful.
