i like this fight, if for no other reason than that it shows the stages of game development. First just one person working on it, due to his ambition he goes overboard, does too much and gets burned out, developer #2 steps in, continues work on the game. at some point #1 steps back in, and they both work on the game, you can see spritesheets being made, mechanics being coded. Then the main battle loop is them going through periods of extreme productivity, followed by slower, burned out times. untill you defeat them (which in this case would count as the game being finished)
You made really good comment! I was able to realize that from one perspective, this fight demonstrates the whole development of the game, however, I could not realize how developers re-join the development process time to time until I read your comment. Definitely good observation :)
It's great. You can the the conceptualizing creative director just appearing and going crazy. Then the technically gifted developer pounding at the game itself to make it actually work. You can see Dev 2 keeping a working rhythm while Dev 1 points here and there, wanting this and that. Then you can see the two of them really get into sync and go nuts with it.
The addition of R.I.P. in the standard credits was hilarious, and it's not like the game makes you feel bad for what you did or anything in that part; I appreciate that. Thank you!
I love how crazy intense this song is, just the ungodly loud bass buzz as the devs flail around, it feels like a fun contrast to a lot of the rest of the soundtrack, the gnomes always seem to throw a welcome wrench into the game's vibes
I think I already did that. There should be three ending in this game: Frog's Wrath Dev Gnomes Standard ending All of the mentioned ones above are uploaded. Did I miss any other ending :)
@@Tommy-TwigFan Aaa sorry, now I understood your question :). As far as I remember, the checkpoint just before the gnome fight is not updated after the fight as well. That is why you should be able to proceed to the other endings from that checkpoint. However, I think in order to be on the safe side, you might consider making a backup save file before entering that fight
I like how they have very little health but there's almost nothing to throw at them
Agreed!

I wonder if Chris idling more at half HP is representing anything with this game's development
@@maglev957 I think that's just a glitch that can happen if you hit the Gnomes shortly before the "down time" period of the loop ends.

As someone who did simulation and game design in college, seeing the Visual Studio and Audacity files pop up gives me anxiety.

"Bring me my eyes and I will allow you to meet your maker"
Sounds vaguely ominous
love how everything slows down and turn to black, when you enter a boss fight

Trough this song, I can tell how exciting yet challenging this game development was
fun fact: this song heavily samples the KitKaliber song 'nOISE gATE'
same deal with "heavy", which samples "megafauna" by the same artist!
It's the guys!!
I love them so much
@@ijustlikebeestrue!! they're among my most favorite characters
Did you also do storymode for this one?
I believe the difficulty for this fight should be easy :) it is quite hard, isn't it?
No shame dude. I had to run Story Mod with most of the final bosses!
can you reload the save after fighting them to keep trying the other endings? thanks

Frog's Wrath
Dev Gnomes

@@msacakci02 no no, I mean, if you do the gnome ending your safe file blocks like when you do the normal ending? Thanks

I'm poetry sure you've already figured out, but there be 2 other endings
1:18 for a second i was like
"SPAMTON ??"
spamton in everhood, what will he do 😳
The dev gnomes and spamton would be the most chaotic trio, mother of god
