Don't promote such miss information. The company recommends 5w30 or 10w30 grade engine oil. I have used motul 7100 10w40 grade in rainy season the performance is horrific, heats alot because the oil is thick. If you use thicker unrecommended grade you may damage oil pump, the oil will not reach to cylinder head so you may damage piston, piston rings cylinder walls, timing chain etc. If you don't know anything don't promote. You should remember that this motorcycle is aircooled and thermal efficiently is less. Do research before everything.
Totally agree !!!!Finally a person who knows smthing or i say everything..... im glad to read your reply..... i changed the engine oil 2 days ago, I used 5100 10w30. The engine oil is more then suitable for this engine. Going for fully synthetic is waste of money.
@@anusoni7049 If engine is aircooled never extend drain intervel. Synthetic or Semisyntetic doesn't mean extend drain intervel if oil gets bad change it. In liquid cooled, oilcooled engines oil drain intervel is high because oil gets less heat compared to aircooled. Every thing is marketing some brands say it can last upto 20k miles etc. If possible get genuine Shell engine oil because it has better antiware agents compared to other brands.
What's best yehturaj you recommend for sp 125 bs6 i want to buy only motul semi synthetic or fully synthetic and which grade and for how many kilometres it can run ?
Agree. Also there's huge difference between same grade oils of different brands. For eg- Castrol 10w30 is far more smoother and free flowing than Motul 10w30. I was using Motul 10w30 in my Dio. That oil sucked, performance was sluggish. Cold start needed 10-15 kicks, heating issues, just 40 kpl mileage. Frustrated, I changed to BPCL Mak Semi synth 10w30. It significantly improved cold starts and fuel efficiency, but it was only good upto 60kph, post which the pil started to break down. Currently using Castrol 5w40 full synthetic. Honestly speaking, it has transformed my engine. No cold start issue, no heating, able to cruise at 70-80kph all day, getting 55kpl FE, engine feels unstressed even after long rides, engine feels tighter, exhaust note sounda crisp and smoothness lasts upto 3k kms. I have never seen any other engine oil with such consistent performance. It's expensive compared to other oils, but I am never going to use any oil other than Castrol Ultimate 5w40.
5w30 or 10w30 oil is recommended for Honda sp125 bs6. Its difficult to get 5w30 grade engine oil from other brands so you could use 10w30 motorcycle engine oil. 10w30 is little bit thick but it works fine.
