- Gameplay of SpiderMan PS4 Screwball challenge. This is the Harlem Screwball Stealth Challenge in the Spiderman Turf Wars DLC.
A minimum of 12500 is needed for the PS4 Spiderman Ultimate Level
It just shocks me how everything else about this game is brilliantly put together but these screwball challenges are utterly atrocious in their design.

How about we get rid of screwball entirely?
I think what makes these stealth missions far more cancerous than Taskmaster's stealth missions are the motion sensor lights. It adds an unnecessary level of difficulty to an already difficult and stressful mission type. And while you can temporarily disable them, it's just frustrating that they come back at the worst possible moment. Bad design is bad design.
Thank goodness the trophy only calls for 2nd place scores, which I managed to get following these videos. Never touching the stealth challenges again, thank you very much.
Yeah they are incredibly difficult 😬. That’s why I haven’t gone back to these in almost a year. But here I am. Ready to torture myself. I only need 2 more stealth challenges. To get the last trophy in the DLC. I just wish it was easier haha.
These are horrible. Fortunately, I was able to get spectacular or better on every screw ball challenge without trying too hard. This one, however, was a nightmare for me. It just felt so random, and some of the guards would magically grow eyes in the back of their heads.

I know I am like 9 months late but I never cared for the screwball missions then I saw that there where suits for doing all the district act invites and I was stuck on the stealth missions for a month and this really helped.
Glad I'm not the only one. I really hope Insomniac does NOT bring this Screwball girl to the next game, her character is very damn annoying.
Even following the guide this is tough as nails. I got bronze and I'm only going for silver but damn this is so tough with how the enemy AI feels almost random at times.
Upvote if you, like me, really hate these challenges and their stupid convoluted designs.

I absolutely adore this game; great story, swinging fighting. But these Screwball challenges are the WORST. This one takes the worst of the challenges right above the tripwire, air gadget challenge. The spotlights are such a nuisance. Like I get they add challenge, but not in a fun type of way. Thank you for this video.

This is so frustrating, I have made this mission about 30 times so far, 20 of them the 4th photo bomb doesn't work, I defeat the enemy inside the pink area and it doesn't start the "minigame" to get the extra points.

So stupid. I was thinking I needed to go faster and faster and didn't get the last two photobombs because I was getting 11500 doing the mission too fast smh. Thanks for the post.
Coming back, some of the screwball missions were honestly fine. EXCEPT the stealth missions. WHAT MALICIOUS PINHEAD DESIGNED THESE?!

I tried doing the same thing as you but guys were not where they were supposed to be so i did hlaf way as you and did something random and manage to get 16000 points but i wasted an hour on this stupid mission
This single challenge makes me hope there’s a scene in Spider-Man 2 where Spider-Man has venom and just beats screwball into the ground. God this is a stupid character, with horrible cringey voice lines, and unbearable “challenges”.
This level is quite literally not possible.

God these forced stealth challenges and missions are broken as shit. Tell me why I can take out the first 20 guys in an enemy base without being seen once, but I can't do a single one of these, ever, without failing it about 10 times. Got spotted through a brick wall once.

These suck. The Taskmaster ones were fine, but the motion sensors, and one of the most annoying characters ever written constantly taunting you just leads to bad design

I've literally done it way faster, so fast only 3 photomb spots spawned for me every time hence I alway missed just a few points for the highest rating. Ugh!

Remember when we signed up to play spider man? Not mary jane, miles morales or a splinter cell clone. Repulsive game design from a company with repulsive ethics. Stop taking our character away while making us work for upgrades, taking gadgets away on missions, and not even allowing spider man to be spider man in a lot of missions.

The worst part about these challenges is that there's no consistency. Search lights and patrol patterns will never be exactly the same as they were on your previous run. A motion sensor's light is facing slightly more to the right, a guy hasn't turned around when he did last time. It brings RNG into an already frustrating experience to make it even worse.
Oh, I never thought to just drop a trip mine at their feet like that! Awesome. My favorite gadget just got cooler.
that's my favourite stealth gadget too! I can get an enemy without getting anywhere near them
@@playtenboxgames5622 I just love tying two guys together with it. It's hilarious, tossing a few out into a crowd of enemies and suddenly having half the number of guys left to fight.
It is hilarious tying a small guy to the big fat heavy guy, unfortunately the big guy doesn't seem to be affected by the gadget. In fact, most gadgets seems to have no effect on the big guy. IMPACT WEB, TRIP MINE, CONCUSSIVE BLAST and SUSPENSION MATRIX doesn't do anything to him. Only the WEB BOMB and ELECTRIC WEB is able to subdue him for a short period of time
@@playtenboxgames5622 Yeah, they're pretty tanky. Web them up with regular web, Impact Web, or Web Bomb, and web throw them into a wall to stick em and stop em. Or, if you're up for something funny, web them up and then use air launch to uppercut them repeatedly. It won't launch them into the air, but you can do it over and over again until they break free, like a less over-the-top but more hilarious version of Ken's Shoryureppa from Street Fighter.
One of the Screwball challenges you use that and the...zero gravity gadget thing...? And it’s so fun just doing them both together you should try it!
Wow how did it take me this long to realize that the photobombs give so much more points than the time bonus. I tried doing this really fast (like you'd do with the base game taskmaster challenges) finished the last enemy around the time the 3rd photobomb is about to leave (so I only got points for 2 photobobms) and got little over 10k points. Thank you for showing that taking my time concentrating on the photos is the bomb for the dlc versions of these missions.

These specific missions dragged this game down from a 9/10 to a 7/10 for me.

The utter lack of creative freedom with these challenges makes them such a pain. On top of that the photo bomb doesn't work half of the time

I hate Screwball with every fibre of my being.
I have not done the third DLC yet but so far this is the worst challenge in this game for me. I swear to god the enemies follow a different path every time you play it. The part in your video where you place a trip mine at the 2nd photo bomb is literally impossible when im playing because the 2 other guys see it and i instantly fail.
The only way i was able to do this was completely ignoring the photobombs except the first and i just barely had enough points to get the spectacular rating. Im really glad the trophy does not require perfection on all challenges otherwise i would have abandoned this.
The main game was brilliant and i even enjoyed the challenges there, but the screwball ones in the dlc are terribly designed.
I know its the point screwball is annoying, but hearing her shout OOOOO PHOTOBOMB!!!' every single time one appeared was so agonising i had to mute the game.
2024 and im trying to platinum this sh arsh game, it was a 4 star, after that i was glad to give 1. Bro ima manace right now, those challenges are fk up man, bs

You're very smart to use trip mine against bad guys in a stealth challenge. Nice trick! I finished the main story but stuck at this challenge, failed a dozen times I guess...now I'm gonna try it again
This challenge made me hate this game. I have not been having fun for the 2 hours I've spent trying to do these 2 screwball stealth challenges, such a great game but these challenges are fucking awful. Never will I ever try to 100% this game ever again.

You know what the far cry 3 villian said the definition of isnaity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting them to change? Well this challenge flies right in the face of that because it never plays out the same way twice even if you do the exact same thing.
Bruh i did this mission 3 photobombs in 30 seconds and never got 3 stars now i understand why i didn't get 3 starts cuz i missed 4th photobomb lol man 😅

worst challenge ever. You have to slow down to make sure you get at least 4 photo bombs before finishing the challenge. Time is a factor, but only so much as you set up for the 4th photo bomb.
One day I will get this, but even following the video, guys are in random places. Namingly takedown number 5 is always out of place.
