    Can you do a video on groin guards? Benefits/drawbacks etc. Wondering what type to get for sparring and amateur competitions.

    Nice! I prefer to use 18oz for sparring... because I can handle them, and I like the cushioning. Plus it protects sparring partners a bit more from a heavy punch.

    Russ Anbar made a very good video outlining why Boxing Governing Bodies manufacturers gyms fighters trainers etc need to reconfigure the way we all think about the size and weight of gloves since we have come a long way from Horsehair materials have become lighter and stronger.
    16oz Horsehair will imho still hurt more than a softly padded 16oz gloves by say Winning or winning clones.
    Hard padded 16oz gloves specially made for heavybag durability should also be separated I had one guy at the gym use his Rival gloves and every shot he was throwing was hurting I then got curious and researched his glove and on the Rival website it specifically stated that they were only meant for heavy bags. Suffice to say we gave him an option he can keep on using those gloves in sparring against the rest of us and we will return with full power shots or he can do the right thing and buy proper "16oz" gloves. Lol

    I'm surprised that 18oz cleto reyes is underweight. Their 12oz weigh 15oz.

    You have part of the glove hanging off the scale. Better off putting the knuckle down on the scale for better accuracy

    Hi coach!
    Really sorry about the weight issue with the gloves. We have had lots of feedback with our weight being very lighter than advertised and I can assure you with our new version that is coming very soon will be on point. Once again I am very sorry to disappoint you. Other than that loved the video as always :)

      Lace ups. I hadn’t used them for a while either so it’s not moisture (sweat) soaked into the padding. My Gil 16oz Velcro’s came in at 20oz, rival rs2v 16oz Velcro were exactly 16oz

  • @Daniel-cp2ps

    When talking about anything other than fight gloves the "weight" is more to do with hand size NOT the amount of padding.
    Rival have tried to change to standard (s/m/l/xl), so has cleto reyes with their hybrids.
    The message isnt getting through.

      @Daniel-cp2ps 4 года назад

      @@ThatBoxingGuy all gloves should be labelled as the standard size chart (so s/m/l/xl) , except for fight gloves (as horse hair is still used)
