Looks like a great day on the Gulf. We were just anchored in Lemon Bay along Manasota key a couple of weeks ago. Enjoy the rest of your travels and thank you for sharing!
I have a Prairie 36 and have admired the Mainship 390 as maybe a "next boat". Can you tell me what your fuel burn is at 8 kt with that engine. Mine is about 3 gph with both Perkins 4-236's running @ 1600 rpm and about 6.5 -7 kts.
We burn about 4.3 GPH with a 3126 Cat. That is running at around 2000rpms and using the Gen set most evenings. If we run at 1600 we’ve been told it will do much better.
Looks terrific! My husband and I are in the beginning phase of purchasing our boat. We will have an enclosed fly bridge with eisinglas similar to yours (beautiful vessel-btw). My question is, do you ever have issues with sea spray and not being able to use wipers? Also, how will you have service for your ipad while on the next stretch while 50 miles out? Or will you just have gps at that point?
Thank you for the comments and questions. First of all we normally drive from the top. You can see so much better. It is spacious and much quieter from the top, with great viewing. Secondly there are windshield wipers with washers but I’ve have not figured out how to turn the washers on. Third about the IPad. If your I pad is has cellular, whether or not it has cell service it will have GPS built into it and work everywhere.
I've been right across the middle of the GOM and I've crossed the Big Bend. The Big Bend was almost always worse, for us. I consider both of them to be "crossing the gulf".

@@jimrossman thanks so much!
Not exactly "crossing the gulf', but a nice video anyway.
