Yessssss thank you so much fr this tutorial!!! Super helpful. I just got my double coin door from X Arcade too and will be putting it into my Street Fighter cabinet!
@@DetroitLove yes sir, it is also 7 by 10 which I thought was crazy. I will be doing the measurement and cutting it out tomorrow from the kick plate, it took about a week and a half to get here
Looks very familiar, lol. Good job. Hopefully my video helped you out with the wiring, as X-arcade was no help when I first did mine, I actually had to write them back and tell them the wire combinations for the Arcade 1Up for their future customers.
I purchase a coin door from X Arcade and installed into my Atgames Legend Ultimate. Came out great with working lights but did not connect to player 1 and 2. Very good quality all metal very happy. Cut out on kick panel on cab.
Detroit Love is there a way to connect the coin door to the stock pcb? or do you have to have a raspberry pi to have this coin acceptor to work? just wondering bc I don't really want to completely mod my arcade 1up just to have a fully functional coin door....LOL
@@dongarcia2750 excellent question, I’m a newbie to these and am about to purchase a TRON arcade 1up and want to be able to hook the 2 coin option door up stock if I can. I’d be willing to pay for a diagram for us novices on how to exactly wire it to the player 1 & 2 buttons as well as saving the configuration settings too. This would be extremely helpful as I’m sure many of us wouldn’t mind paying for the diagram/help. Thanks Detroit Love for the videos.

im going to do this with the little version of the arcade and just put it on risers for my business maybe try to add a credit card and bill acceptor tbh
I want to put coin doors in my TMNT and MK Costco and replace the game logo boards. I got two black boards with a hole cut out from tulsaarcades on ebay. Then, I will get the coin doors. Are they the $50 ones from x arcade? I just want the coin doors for fun, so I don’t really need a coin mechanism. But, I want the coin slots to be open so that I can insert a coin and it will fall into a box or something. And I want the coin door to have a hinge so that I can open and close it and reach my hand into the 1up cabinet.
Detroit, I have a question about my arcade. Everytime I turn it on, the Raspberry Pi starts to play the introduction but cuts off within 5 seconds. What could cause my arcade to not stay on?
You do know that if you want it to be free with the coindoor like a actual cabinet would be you can completely override the credit button that arcade1up did and use the coin mech in the coindoor without a quarter to coin the game up right?
Hello. Is it possible to install another coin with a diameter smaller than the standard on this coin acceptor? Will it accept another coin in such a case? Or it only accepts 25 cents? I'm from a different country than the US, but I love the design of this coin mechanism. Tell me please. Thank you.
I am not aware of any way to change out the coin receiver. I know they sell other coin doors that are for different countries that have different denominations. You should be able to search Google for a coin door with a specified coin
The raspberry pi does not come with anything. You need to get a SD card in the size of the image that you want to put on it. There are many different sizes of images from 8GB to 256 GB.You can get the image from arcadepunks. The Arcade only image I used is 32 GB.
Can this still be done if I don’t have raspberry pi hooked up to my Galaga. I want to leave my Galaga stock, but add the coin door. If it can be done where do the wires hook up to the control panel. I really want to try this.
I’m trying to start and arcade/vending business the problem is the arcade cabinets are really expensive so I was thinking of turning 1 up to take coins is there a away to make them secure?
Detroit Love Imma try to install a mod I need more games but which u think is better raspberry pi or pandora box I want games like sega and Nintendo etc or to be able add

Nice addition to the cabinet. Makes the cabinet look realistic.

You could wire a separate button/switch to your coin door mechanism to over-ride inserting quarters. Anyway, another awesome video from DL!!!

My mod plan is huge honestly. I'm turning my MK2 cabinet into a MK1 with coin doors and add Street Fighter and Tekken to it as well
Is there a way to do this with out a raspberry pie in your cabinet?

Yea but u need to separate coin button with start button..both..are working mixed
I trust a man that using ryobi tools.
Does both coin slots work for all 4 players.. What i mean is. To play any player , do you have to insert coins. For tmnt

I wonder if I can do this mod to my big buck hunter arcade1up
Plan on buying a few of these down the road and adding the coin slots, but for future reference - how did you bring up that menu?
This will work on stock 1 up? Same wiring but think you need to splice the coin button right?
Do you do installation work for other people
I have in the past but I just enjoy the summers too much these days.
I’m about to buy all of the equipment for this, does the raspberry pi already come with the menu that popped up to configure the buttons

Do you need a raspberry pi to put a coin slot
I had to add 4 pieces of 1"x1" to hold coin door on kick panel.
Got the job done!
My 1up machine doesn't have the wires under the buttons.
Does the outlet power the whole mechanism or does it just turn on the lights for the eject buttons?
Just the light. The slots are just two buttons.
Which hardware and software are you using ? Raspberry ? It's not the stock arcade 1up
Hey I’m from Monroe Michigan can you help me with modding my tmnt cab
I’m from Michigan do you sell these with the coin door installed? Might be interested in buying one from you.

How do you get that setting I don’t see what activates settings

Unless u using a retropie...of course
Does the coin door work on the cocktail cabinets?
You can work on anything that I can be mounted to, it’s just two buttons buttons can be programmed to do whatever you want them to be
What if you splice the coin door wires with the button wires plugged into one socket think that would work ?
Good video with a lot of tips got me to order a coin door also
