These are 3 ladies that listens and explore a lot of different genres of music from my grandparents 70s era to my generation... all they wanted was to make a fun album because they’re always so serious and i think Gen Z listeners will relate more to this project than any other crowd… they haven’t really put out anything bad so far and the rest of the album are supposed to be their heaviest stuff to date according to Pau… this is still all around rock & roll, and they make a something for everyone old and young to hear… but imma just say go see them when you have the chance… KMF June 28th ⚡️
Personally I'm not a fan of the heavy distortion. That said, I have no desire for them to simply repeat themselves either. This is the second of the five album contract they have with Republic. While noting the unusual level of experience for a young band, I think they're still experimenting and trying different things, which honestly they may just keep doing. It's what artists do right? Its very likely they end up working with yet again a whole different producer and dip in with different writers on the NEXT album. Who knows.
@@scott5669- I am not a fan of the overly produced songs with the distortion etc... this is already my least favorite album of theirs, and if the rest of the songs sound the same there's not much changing that position for me.
So far, the only song I have that issue with is Automatic Sun. It did not have distortion like that in the live version. The studio mixer went too far with it at the beginning of the song. Not my cup of tea. I love the live version.
To address some of your points... The "distortion" on the guitars is called a "fuzz tone"...it's a hard-clip style distortion that is quite different from the "soft-clip" overdrive they have used in the past...Jimi Hendrix was the first to really employ it, and it's been a staple guitar tone for years... Alejandra will most likely NEVER sing a lead...she has said many times in interviews, vlogs, Instagram Lives that she does not want to sing lead... Paulina has to limit her vocals during shows because drumming is very cardio, and she has had to insist that the setlists do not have her singing lead on 2 songs in a row...if you pay attention to the live videos being posted from the April 2024 European tour Alejandra is taking more and more of the backing vocal load off of her as it is...why she doesn't have any lead vocals on the new album I do not know... The sound and vibe of the new album is very "modern" as compared to their previous work...Anton DeLost is a much younger producer than David Bendeth, and he mixed the album with a lot of saturation and compression...that style of mix is designed to sound good on smaller speakers and caters to the fact that the vast majority of people today consume music on earbuds, computer speakers, and in their cars...
From what I could tell from the teasers they posted, no Paulina songs on this one (a first for them) and I don't expect any Ale lead vocal songs anytime soon, she has repeatedly stated she did not want to sing lead.
Well, i think i know where you're coming from. I'm not sure i agree when it comes to the music. I think they've done a pretty good job of diversifying their style and giving each of the songs a unique feel. More, Sick, Automatic Sun and Burnout all have very distinct styles. But i think i agree with you when it comes to the lyrics. The new songs seem to be mostly collections of "radio rock" tropes. They don't seem to be 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 anything in the same way as songs like 21st Century Blood, Animosity, and Disciple. That being said, the girls did say they were just wanting to lighten up and have fun on this one. So I'm happy to play along. But i hope they they have something a little more thoughtful on the next one. In the meantime, i still have plenty from the old catalogue if I'm feeling nostalgic. I see you. Don't give up hope!
I understand what you mean about Peter Gabriel. I believe they have seen him live in the last year or so. The Warning have said they are influenced by what they are listening to. ❤✌🤘⚡🔥
They are also fans of Elton John and Billy Joel. I think you can hear a lot of pop rock influences in their new stuff. I say they should lean into that sensibility and become the massive global superstars that they deserve to be.
I know that the girls and the team went to a Peter Gabriel concert on a night off during LAST year's European tour; I believe it was in France. BUT, that experience wouldn't have influenced the songwriting for Keep Me Fed, since they said that the writing for the album actually happened as early as the Fall of 2022 at the end of the Mayday tour.
Criminal that Pau doesn't sing lead on any songs..she the best singer in The Warning... She steals the show in their most important concerts like Pepsi Center
I agree it will be criminal without a song from Pau ... And it could be my imagination but there seems to be less back and forth songs and more with Dany just the lead... I know everyone says they have 100% control over what they do, but I sure hope that isn't the record label pushing them in that direction.
Say what you want but this album sounds like they didn't put much thought and time into it like they did their previous albums....And it shows..its not bad but its not even close to their previous work..

Why not do with what got you popular ?Why do they need writers??

@@scott5669 My understanding is that they brainstormed with writers, it's still their brainchild.
Some bands also went with different producers until they found their match.

Yeah, it would be great to have at least 1 song where Pau takes the lead.

I love Pau in her ballads, but Dany is just an all around frontwoman ⚡️her voice is incredible
