Magiranger was the only sentai series that actually made me cry. The musical motifs, the themes. Astute of the show creators to have all if them as a family. Very powerful show.
same with me.. the character development of sentai and the villain both very good.. the heroes keep improve and level upgrade and the villain also as they keep introducing from the base villain to stronger villain then to god level villain.. 👏👏
The 'father reveal moment' works better in Magiranger imo, because it's Kai himself who causes Wolzard to de-morph, instead of a third party. The scene is then more powerful in an emotional way. Although Mystic Force has good fights and a good storyline, it fails at satisfying all that was built on the link between Nick and Korragg, because Nick cares less about who his biological father is than his friends do. The main emotion that we get from each version is: - despair and sorrow, from Magiranger, - surprise and confusion, from Mystic Force.
SMALL context for this change: the Mystic Force is only focused on one family when the Super Sentai all 5 brother/sisters involucred on this theme of the story (and yeah, about the other part of the chain fight, is not too much important, just in the PR was cutted the rules and the woman when in the SS the entire sequence was no removed)
Mystic Force gets a lot of hate from the fans, but it will NEVER get any hate from me. My reason for saying this is simple. Mystic Force was the series that re-ignited my love for the Power Rangers franchise.
No, actually. It's not among the most hated of all seasons of Power Rangers, anymore. That honor still belongs to Super Megaforce, in my opinion. It's just one of those seasons of power rangers that is being criticized for having too much focus on the red ranger and far too superfluous extraneous side-characters and less on the main four rangers, themselves. It's kinda like Freddy vs. Jason where Freddy Kruger and Jason Voorhees are being treated like secondary characters in their own damn movie crossover. Instead, we focus too much on the generic dumb teenage characters in the movie. But, I ain't gonna bother griping on the Michael Bay Transformers movies since they are like literally the exact same movie being repeated again, and again, and again, and again, and again. But yeah, the whole *"Magic and Mysticism"* thing in Mystic Force is not the problem. The writers just don't seemed to care about the main four characters that were chosen to become power rangers.
Besides, I've seen much worst seasons of Power Rangers before Mystic Force *cough!* Power Rangers Turbo!!! *cough!* This one is just...."Meh, whatever!!!"

Instead, everything just had to be all about fucking LeeLee Pumvare, and Nick and Leanbow and Udonna because of how fucking special they are as special snowflakes. *sigh!* But, this is just how it is. If this is what people want to see in magical-themed Power Rangers season like Mystic Force. Then, who the hell am I to judge. Let's just pray and hope that Beast Morphers doesn't end up being anything like this season.

Gotta admit. Some of those new American fight scenes are pretty intense. But all the drama and tension aren't present at all in most of the PR shows and that A.D.D. style of editing they do I am not a fan of. These side by side video comparisons are great, dude. Keep it up.

It took me like what?! one to two minutes of my spare time to even google the right episode titles!!! Seriously, three minutes is just enough time for you to do your research.

Well all core five rangers in Magiranger are Wolzard's children but for some reason MagiRed who is youngest of five siblings has closest bond with they father.
Mecha82 Red always have rivalry with Wolzard for killing his mother. And he heard the heroic tale of his father from his teacher as well his siblings so he idolized his father as this perfect being. The Wolzard's revelation is practically this Darth Vader's revelation moment in which the red can't bring himself to accept. Pretty good plot.

Both were emotional but it was more strongly felt in Magiranger than in Mystic Force. It really gets you more emotional with Magiranger than Mystic Force because of a more family feel in Magiranger than Mystic Force.
I got a great idea..Power Rangers Mystic Force added with Magiranger music. The emotions could do better with that especially at 5:25. Also,I don't find the PR one bad. I find the Sentai version..'I HAVE NO FATHEEEEEER!!! FUCK YOU WOLZAAAAAAARD!!' Kai needs to chill,man but joking aside,I never watched Magiranger though the scene is good. This is pretty much where I start to have problems with Power Rangers because only 32 episodes and I still prefer the voices of the Sentai villains. Even though some of the female Sentai antagonists have bubbly personalities. Now I need to watch all the way from Magiranger to Go-Onger. Mainly because this sentai variant of this portion was played out better. One, the bound battle, duels require a person to see it as a witness to declare the victor. Two, the way the fight between Wolzard and Kai played out. Three, Kai is better than Nick for all the reasons. Finally four, Meemy's warning to the rise of the 10 gods of Infershia, long and shows how menacing they are. Short preludes of great threats are just not cutting it, also Imperious says his destruction but it should be the demise of the Master that will bring about the 10 terrors which is a good name but rats them names after watching 3 super sentai shows entirely I have a naming sense for villains comparable to the japanese.

Well, for story-wise......I'm gonna have to say it's Magiranger. Because, unlike Mystic Force, the transitions of the characters' story-arcs are very noticeable and simple to understand. Especially since Magiranger is smart enough to know who its' main characters are and who are the real supporting characters. Mystic Force, is just a mess because the tone of that season doesn't have a clue about who its' real main characters are and who are even the supporting characters. In fact, I don't even think that Mystic Force even knows who are supposed to be the Power Rangers and who aren't. I mean, seriously, the tone of Mystic Force is just schizophrenic on not knowing who it's real main focus characters are and who are supposed to be the supporting characters.
Yeah, I mean the real problem with Mystic Force is that the tone just feels too schizophrenic about who the main focus characters are and who remains as the supporting characters. In fact, I don't even think the writers of Mystic Force even have a clue about who are even the rangers of the season at all. It's like they just got bored with who they have selected to be the actual Power Rangers of the season and would rather make a show about all of these other supporting characters and their adventures. But, oh well!!! This is what happens when they tried to do too much in establishing a mythos about Magic and Mysticism in a show that has been botched down to 32 episodes instead of just 38 or 40 episodes at that time. But yeah, Magiranger did it better. I mean, it's not perfect, but at least it was smart enough to know who its' main focus characters are and who remains as the supporting characters.

That's gonna be even trickier to do since apparently in Magiranger, the character of the Heavenly Arch-Saint, Magiel was a movie-exclusive character in the Sentai version's general movie, "Mahou Sentai Magiranger: The Bride of Infershia" and was only mentioned a few times later on in the show and then finally made an appearance in the TV show, at around episodes 48 and 49. Oh and an interesting note, Magiranger's general movie is set to have taken place in between episodes 25 and 26 of the main storyline. But, that's about it.
cameronjr8 I know who they are, okay?! I've been watching Magiranger for like three times and I'm familiar with the characters since 2006. Besides, I found both Nai and Mare to be more fun to watch than freaking Leelee since well...she's completely useless to the main plot, other than just steal back Udonna's snow staff. Aside from that, she didn't really do anything in the entirety of her story-arc. Hell, I even think she's more useless as a character than Octoroo from Samurai/Super Samurai.

Tarv Is the sentai footage (the original) was brightened for PR cause it got adapted years after the sentai airdate. And it's done on purpose to make it more colorfull for kids.
Ngl I like the color palette for PR better. SS just always seems really drab and gray and while that can be great when you’re trying to portray certain emotions it’s just kinda shitty when it’s constantly like that.

I still confirm that the Power Rangers are more concerned with battles and battles than morals and emotions, and they still don't show the normal behavior of the heroes, here you can see that there are more emotional scenes in Super Sentai that are natural. 30 years, they still can't accept change for a modern audience, and why they skipped potentially good adaptations (ToqGer, ZyuOhger &LuPat), is the reason they don't have the balls to create heavy standalone seasons. They heavily relied on cheap PR nostalgia to lure in die-hard PR fans.

Mystic Force was my underrated childhood, and MagiRanger is my favorite Super Sentai.

Both were emotional but it was more strongly felt in Magiranger than in Mystic Force. It really gets you more emotional with Magiranger than Mystic Force because of a more family feel in Magiranger than Mystic Force.
I got a great idea..Power Rangers Mystic Force added with Magiranger music. The emotions could do better with that especially at 5:25.

This is pretty much where I start to have problems with Power Rangers because only 32 episodes and I still prefer the voices of the Sentai villains. Even though some of the female Sentai antagonists have bubbly personalities. Now I need to watch all the way from Magiranger to Go-Onger. Mainly because this sentai variant of this portion was played out better. One, the bound battle, duels require a person to see it as a witness to declare the victor. Two, the way the fight between Wolzard and Kai played out. Three, Kai is better than Nick for all the reasons. Finally four, Meemy's warning to the rise of the 10 gods of Infershia, long and shows how menacing they are. Short preludes of great threats are just not cutting it, also Imperious says his destruction but it should be the demise of the Master that will bring about the 10 terrors which is a good name but rats them names after watching 3 super sentai shows entirely I have a naming sense for villains comparable to the japanese.

Well, for story-wise......I'm gonna have to say it's Magiranger. Because, unlike Mystic Force, the transitions of the characters' story-arcs are very noticeable and simple to understand. Especially since Magiranger is smart enough to know who its' main characters are and who are the real supporting characters. Mystic Force, is just a mess because the tone of that season doesn't have a clue about who its' real main characters are and who are even the supporting characters. In fact, I don't even think that Mystic Force even knows who are supposed to be the Power Rangers and who aren't. I mean, seriously, the tone of Mystic Force is just schizophrenic on not knowing who it's real main focus characters are and who are supposed to be the supporting characters.
Yeah, I mean the real problem with Mystic Force is that the tone just feels too schizophrenic about who the main focus characters are and who remains as the supporting characters. In fact, I don't even think the writers of Mystic Force even have a clue about who are even the rangers of the season at all. It's like they just got bored with who they have selected to be the actual Power Rangers of the season and would rather make a show about all of these other supporting characters and their adventures. But, oh well!!! This is what happens when they tried to do too much in establishing a mythos about Magic and Mysticism in a show that has been botched down to 32 episodes instead of just 38 or 40 episodes at that time. But yeah, Magiranger did it better. I mean, it's not perfect, but at least it was smart enough to know who its' main focus characters are and who remains as the supporting characters.

That's gonna be even trickier to do since apparently in Magiranger, the character of the Heavenly Arch-Saint, Magiel was a movie-exclusive character in the Sentai version's general movie, "Mahou Sentai Magiranger: The Bride of Infershia" and was only mentioned a few times later on in the show and then finally made an appearance in the TV show, at around episodes 48 and 49. Oh and an interesting note, Magiranger's general movie is set to have taken place in between episodes 25 and 26 of the main storyline. But, that's about it.

cameronjr8 I know who they are, okay?! I've been watching Magiranger for like three times and I'm familiar with the characters since 2006. Besides, I found both Nai and Mare to be more fun to watch than freaking Leelee since well...she's completely useless to the main plot, other than just steal back Udonna's snow staff. Aside from that, she didn't really do anything in the entirety of her story-arc. Hell, I even think she's more useless as a character than Octoroo from Samurai/Super Samurai.

Tarv Is the sentai footage (the original) was brightened for PR cause it got adapted years after the sentai airdate. And it's done on purpose to make it more colorfull for kids.
Ngl I like the color palette for PR better. SS just always seems really drab and gray and while that can be great when you’re trying to portray certain emotions it’s just kinda shitty when it’s constantly like that.

I still confirm that the Power Rangers are more concerned with battles and battles than morals and emotions, and they still don't show the normal behavior of the heroes, here you can see that there are more emotional scenes in Super Sentai that are natural.
