Krsna appeared to Lord Bramha at the beginning of the universe shortly aftern his appearance. First Lord Brahma heard a disembodied voice which said ‘tapah’ meaning “do penance, do austerity”. Brahma did penance for many millions of years and when became successful Krsna appeared to him amd shook his hand. ( first hand shake in the cosmic universe in history). This whole handshake thing is quite interesting, one of the meanings is that you should only shake hands with someone you know very well, unlike how the homies and business men today will shake hands with people they dont know.
