i loooove how this turned out!! i was looking for something to crochet quickly because i was bored and ended up with two beautiful scrunchies, one black and one white. i added more single crochets than were necessary - kind of squeezed them in a little bit - so my ripples came out really big and prominent. I am looking for small projects like this. I have some yarn leftover several colors that I think would be good to use to make something like this. Espically since you can use most any type of yarn. Have leftovers from making dishcloths so I hope it will work. I would hate to throw it away.

hey, do you still respond to comments? :( i’m still single crocheting around the band, about to reach the end. what should i do with the lose end? i’m afraid i’ve made it too long and i’m not sure how to work it into the corchet. will it stay if i cut it shorter?
Hi, yes just work the loose end into the crochet like you would usually, then cut it xx

How do you sew the extra piece in at the end?
Hello, do you mean the loose end? If it's the loose end, just sew into the project like you would any other project. I have a video about sewing in loose ends on my channel.

Hi, I think it's because you have not placed enough base chains around the scrunchie. Hope this helps!
