My Trident Marine solenoid has failed just like this one, but mine for the SECOND time! This time the failure was catastrophic, melted plastic, insulation and charred windings, so I'm lucky it didn't blow up the boat! I wish I could post pics. Trident is refusing to replace it because they only warranty them for a year. Trident solenoids fail so frequently and at $200 each that it's best to carry at least one spare or give up using them and control your propane manually like in this demo. Good luck with Trident, Ben S/V DAWN
Good info. I've got Two propane lockers on my boat with a 20 lb tank in each one. I want planning to. Run. Two. Vent lines from the bottom of each locker. And put. Through the transom. Down hill all the way. The top. Of. The lockers. Are accessible from the cockpit and isolated from the inside of the boat. I was planning on. Adding. A solenoid switch, or just closing the valve on the tank every time.. shutdown the gas and let the stove burn out I've never thought of that. But it makes perfect sense.

Great info Ben, thanks for sharing. I like the setup on this boat but sounds like the brand is not that great. Appreciate the input.
Thanks for posting

That is not a vent, that is a regulator to change the high pressure of your tank to a low pressure for your appliances.
Great stuff thanks!
Just like I told you Cap I invented this skipper 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
