I first noticed Ad Infinitum because Melissa Bonny is so stunningly beautiful, then I heard her voice which is unbelievable, and the music is fantastic. The band are elite.
When Melissa Bonnie is involved, you can't really go wrong. In my opinion, there's not one bad song on Ad Infinitum's first three albums, and based on the first release from their upcoming fourth album ("Outer Space"), it seems like that trend will continue. Melissa is from Switzerland, while the rest of the band is from Germany. In addition to Ad Infinitum, Mel also plays in another band comprised of members from Feuerschwanz and Amaranthe: The Dark Side of the Moon. They released their debut album last year. Furthermore, she's featured in collaborations with other bands. Currently, Ad Infinitum is touring as support for Kamelot in the US, where Melissa also sings on some of Kamelot's songs.
Melissa Bonny is great, you can check out everything of her "Ad Infinitum" and "Dark Side of the Moon" stuff, its all good. Also for some extra fun that shows more of her personality, watch her reactions to "Batmetal" with Mr Rock N Roll, its just so much fun.
Love this band so much. I just saw them with Kamelot and Hammerfall on the 3rd and honestly they impressed me the most. Her voice is amazing her growling skills impeccable. I'm seeing them again on the 18th and can't wait!
Melissa Bonny is one of the most talented vocalists in the current metal scene. Incredible cleans and powerful growls, she does it all and can jump from one to the other effortlessly. Though you can't go wrong with any of their songs, my notable favorites from Ad Infinitum are "Animals," "Eternal Rains," "Upside Down," and "See You In Hell." As others have mentioned, she has another project "The Dark Side of the Moon" with her now husband on drums, and two members of Feuerschwanz, notable listens for that project are "Jenny of Oldstones" which is adapted from a song in Game of Thrones, and "New Horizons," an original song that features Fabienne Erni from Eluveitie. And a bonus suggestion, she was featured in the Feuerschwanz cover of "Ding." by SEEED.
I LOVE Ad Infinitum!! Melissa Bonny is an amazing vocalist, I love her clean vocals and her growls! You should really check out: - Marching on Versailles - See you in Hell - Eternal Rains - I am the Storm
Melissa bonnie is the rising star here in Europe when it comes to metal. Everything she touches is a funking hit. She started doing voice metal songs covers on social media's during the pandemic. Since then a brief summary of her orbital launch: Singer of Rage of Light ( trance metal, yes it is a thing check their Amon Amarth cover or Mechanicals) She started her own band, Ad Infinitum. Collaborations with Eluveitie, Amaranthe singers and musicians. Collaborations with Feuerschwanz. She also toured with Kamelot, one of the very first band she covered in her beginnings. She is a top point singer and screamer. And the quality of the songs is constantly increasing . I'm a funking old metalhead. I don't usually listen to "soft" metal like this. But her, she's another level. She may be in years to come the next Floor/Simone
Yes, you just found another one. 🤣🤘🤘 "Her" is Melissa Bonny, she started the band in 2018 as a solo project, but it evolved into a full band. She is Swiss, the guys are German. 3 albums to date. Melissa recently married her boyfriend, Morten Lowe Sorensen, drummer for the Swedish metal band Amaranthe. Since you want more Ad infinitum, here's some suggestions. "Upside Down", "Marching on Versailles", "Seth", "Afterlife" feat Nils Molin (also of Amaranthe), and the newest song "Outer Space" And if I piqued your interest in Amaranthe, try "Archangel", "Viral" or "Damnation Flame"
I just saw Ad Infinitum with Kamalot and Hammerfall in Columbus Ohio not too long ago, they were excellent live. Her growls are on point. They don't have a bad song in my opinion.
Great reaction! I love this band even though I'm not a big growler fan. You should check out their song, "From the ashes". If you like female fronted bands try Visions of Atlantis and Beyond the black. They are both up there with AD.
They always use Melissa's growls in a very tasteful way depending on what fits the song, sometimes only layered in the background, sometimes in full throttle parts and sometimes not at all. The first album Chapter I: Monarchy (thematically related to the French revolution) was mostly straight symphonic metal (personal favourite song: See You In Hell). With the second album Chapter II: Legacy (theme: Vlad the Impaler) the band took the production into their own hands and they added elements from other (sub)genres, like power metal & progressive metal (personal favourite: Afterlife feat. Nils Molin [Amaranthe, Dynazty]). Third album Chapter III: Downfall (theme: Agyptian mythology/ Cleopatra) (personal favourite: Upside Down). Unfortunately I haven't seen them live yet but Melissa's second band/ side project The Dark Side Of The Moon when they were guests on a few shows on the tour of the humorous German medieval metal band Feuerschwanz. Always very impressive hearing a singer switching from clean to harsh vocals and back again.
She's an incredible singer! If you want a fun one that lets you check out another band, check out Feuerschwanz's Ding feat. Melissa Bonnie. Her feature focuses on her harsh vocals and it's just a fun song.
One more recommendation that isn't mentioned here: "EKLIPSE & Melissa Bonny - Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost" Anything Melissa touches turns to gold, so anything featuring Melissa + Ad Infinitum or Dark Side of the Moon is worth checking out.
Well. I am fan of female fronted metal bands from 25 years. I`ve found somewere that Melissa is metal Beyonce. Hmm I don`t know but I love all of her bands and projects. She is to me not the metal queen but still princess.
Great channel Nan could you do some what I call Hood Metal ? It’s Ice T doing a song with Black Sabbath as the best It’s called Midnight … killer rap killer video Peace

Jimmy, thanks again for taking this leap of faith!
Her metal growl is formidable too

I will second the motion by Mythic Phoenix (below). Check out Feuerschwanz's cover of Ding. Melissa sings/growls/acts on that one. It's a hoot.

Check out 'Upside down' as well. The whole of the Monarchy album is amazing.

Melissa Bonny is a pure metal godess as good as they come
Well. I am fan of female fronted metal bands from 25 years. I`ve found somewere that Melissa is metal Beyonce. Hmm I don`t know but I love all of her bands and projects. She is to me not the metal queen but still princess.
She was my favorite female growler before I discovered Jinjer lol
She is Melissa Bonnie.
She is replacing Lauren Hart, Alissa White-Gluz and Elize Ryd on the Kamelot tour.
Great channel Nan could you do some what I call Hood Metal ?
