I wonder if Karan Johar knows that people love him, and that twitter trolls r not his audience. He obvsly has a huge audience of his own.... people want to watch him hear him
The transition from short hair to long hair, or from tomboy to saari didn't make Rahul fall for Anjali, though it may appear to be so. Remember that scene where Rahul reminiscences, jhalli thhi meri anjali. Also how he practiced basketball for 8 years, he missed her always : "jab mujhe mere dost ki zarurat thhi tum toh thhi hi nahi". He loved her always, he just couldn't realize it then as she was always an integral part of his life, Tina walks in, and he got attracted. The station scene when Anjali left also speaks a lot, not only did Tina but also the audience could read the pain in Rahul's eyes. The transition of Anjali speaks about the yrs she went through instead and worked on herself, how she thinks he could have liked her. Again its a no brainer, but love makes ppl do crazy things. You may call it stereotyped, outdated, too cliche or whatever, but those who have loved this classic will love it forever. Tumne sirf ussi se pyaar kiya hai, jab se tumne pyaar ko samjha hai pyaar ko jaana hai!!! P.S- I love Karan's honesty here!!
Karan Johar is real, I have always felt like hearing his thought, sometimes he goes ahead of himself, but he is such a delight, real and authentic guy.. accepting of himself and strangely of all criticisms, opinions..I cant fathom the thought of him being disliked..I dont see a reason why the man gets the slack or trolled..he manages to keep himself alive in a true sense, he knows his light is more than the darkness that might surround him..all love and cheers to you Karan Johar!!
Making a blockbuster as your first film that people still love 20 years later and that too at the age of 25! I wonder how that must feel like. One thing Karan does better than making movies is talking, such an interesting personality.
I don't care what people say about Karan... if you're reading this Karan I love you only because you are what you are...you never pretend..cheers mate!
No one like this man hes the only one that can talk and talk and i want to listen everytime. Intellect humour charm and fashion forward is mr karan johar like they would say u can hate him but not ignore him :)
I think Rahul saying pyaar ek hi baar hota hai and shadi ek hi baar karte hain and doing it twice was what made "love" so special for me. Love is this, it challenges your own beliefs, it makes you question everything that you believed to be true, it breaks you, shakes you and yet is the most soothing feeling ever. It's a pain that is soft to touch. It's anger that comes from heart. It's that tear that cleanses your eyes.
So true, none other than Rani could have played Tina better..she's short in height but she's a powerhouse of talent and her entire filmography proves that! ❤️
Karan johur best movies for us him actors and for Hindi cinema - kuch kuch hota hai - kabhi khushi kabhi gham - kal ho na ho - kabhi alvida na kehna His movies even my kid 10 -13 years are obsessed with
Salman Khan is such a wonderful actor. Absolutely nothing has changed about him since KKHH. Not even the fact that he signs his films without reading the script.
This was a great interview. Karan's on point at around 37 minutes where he talks about managing the artistic processes; making art without compromise is a tough gig. Thank you for sharing this, Rajeev.
I don't know how many times I've watched KKHH and K3G. Our childhood was definitely way more better than today's PUBG kids. Don't know after MY NAME IS KHAN.... why Karan didn't make any good movies....

Hi Rajeev, please do a "25 years of Hum Aapke Hain Koun" video, as well. Needless to say, HAHK is one of the most, if not *the* most, iconic movies of the '90s, alongside DDLJ, and hence, is worthy of a 25-year celebration.
I know everything he is saying in this interview same things he wrote in his autobiography. On of the best and mastermind of Bollywood. But its always amazing to listen to him 🔥
Wht more should I say abt “ The Karan Johar “ he speaks from the bottom of his heart alws , very real and touches every body’s heart. Only thing which cms in my mind is -why do a group of people hate him, no matters wht all good things he does, he gets targeted very soon in-fact first .. instead of acceptance, faith , he gets criticism first ..see the comment box full of appreciation but when the real test time comes, suddenly wht happens ??..I wish the coming new year 2021 totally changes his life 🦋🙏 He , his children , Mumma gets complete love , blessings from the Universe.. no negativity dares to come closer .Be Pure, Fair Minded (in professional & personal life) Vibe High and create your own new world 🌎 KARAN 🙏
Karan gets way too much hate for no reason! His movies are what I grew up on and still enjoy watching. And he is always so candid and self-aware of what he did and does. Always love listening to his interviews. And Karan, KKHH isn't as stupid as people try to make it seem. It's just that when Anjali was around him, he took that friendship for granted and didn't realize that he actually loved her.
DDLJ was class apart and shouldn’t be compared with KKHH, this guy has himself said, so many errors in the movie. We were given so many bad movies in 1998-1999 that such movies became big hit.
It's like it is two different Rajeevs we know- the humble one interviewing the amazing karan johar and the other arrogant, narcissist entitled snob who was interviewing an equally amazing Super 30 man Anand kumar. Smh.
I sincerely hope Karan Johar brings Jatin Lalit back together... I really do! We all know that they had a fallout post K3G but it has been 18 years now!
I loved Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan did a fab job and made it with great sensitivity, but post that...none of his films had the flavour that KKHH had, all were sheer dissapointments.
idont think Kjo should be apologetic about Rahul falling for Anjali when she became more feminine. Being attracted to something specific is really a preference. One can be attracted to more feminine women and while others can be attracted to a not so feminine women. Its really a preference. Anjali not only becomes more feminine, she becomes milder as well. They beautifully completed each other when they matured. Not that hey didn't complete each other when younger .. it was not their time is all.
Although I like loved loved loved kkhh at that time, I don't think it has aged well. I think movies like Dil chahta hai or even a khiladi has aged much well !

His oratory skills are off the charts!! A lot to learn from... let's enjoy this one of kind personality before it's too late!
Karan is so well mannered and so articulate in his speech. He is so misunderstood most of the time. But he is a really talented man.

Mature Karan roasting young Karan is my favorite part
There's nothing like a Rajeev Masand interview. Definitely my fix. ♥️😃🎉
Omg he was so open, honest and authentic. So delightful to hear his answers and perspectives
Love watching Karan Johar interviews, especially this one. He is so self aware and forthcoming about sharing his experiences... and entertaining too!
We can hate Karan for many reasons, but we simply can't deny that he made some of best of Bollywood, he has certainly enough to inspire people.
We can never hate him.. he is an amazing guy and straight forward
Why would you hate someone without a reason ?
why hate him ?
Why you hate him????
I don't hate him as such but he certainly has this stigma of only promoting star kids and people with influence, I feel he can do better there.
I think salman still does the same. signing the film without hearing the script and leave it to the destiny
I would like to have his destiny
Why did Rani leave Oxford for Xavier's?
The Lost Child same question 😂😂
🤣
Love him hate him but Karan is confident enough to be real . He is not fake !!!
Karan is really fun to listen to. The interview is one hour long and you still end up wanting more.
Admire the way Karan talks. So organic and natural
Omg I love watching Karan interviews...he’s so candid and fun. I would’ve watched even if this interview was another hour or two.
KJ: I was more overweight than overwhelmed 😂
Love the gift of gab of Karan Johar, he us a pro at Language and quick witty natural replies.
So true, none other than Rani could have played Tina better..she's short in height but she's a powerhouse of talent and her entire filmography proves that! ❤️
Agree....
Rani is a powerhouse of performance..... she's short-height but as an actress she stands as tall as Rekha and sridevi ji.....
That is why Karan approached Rani at the last 🤣
And Rani was doing flop film till She finally got Chalte Chalte (by betraying her friend)
Absolutely one of the most versatile actors is Rani. Continues to make some interesting choices even now like Mardaani.
