There are some exceptions to the "Don't Fly on a Holiday" rule. In the U.S., The day before Thanksgiving is one of (if not, the) busiest travel days of the year, but Thanksgiving day itself sees very little traffic, since most people spend that day with their families. Because of this, when I wanted to start my Christmas vacation in Europe last year, I found the best NYC➡️London deal to be on Thanksgiving day itself.
Man common you deserve more. Try to advertise your channel you deserve Millions . I am inspired by you and I will start soon to travel like you do . Thanks
Thanks Drew!!! I just booked a round-trip ticket from Orlando to London! The closest airport to me is Tampa but Orlando was cheaper. Three flights two layovers one layover in Washington Dulles and a second layover in Frankfurt Germany.
Can't stop watching all your videos, finishing one I go to the next one hahaha congrats! I hope to live the same lifestyle soon! Hi from Brazil :)) Have you ever been to São Paulo?
Nice video Drew-it's always nice to see a tip video for airfare that doesn't make me want to cringe from bad advice! Seriously. There's way too many of those out there. 😂
I haven't traveled nearly as much as you but i must say i agree very much with these tips. I always seem to find much cheaper flight than anyone i know and i travel in a similar flexible fashion. It really pays off!
I thought I was pretty good at finding flights, but now I have seen this video and I see the difference. I am excited to try several one way flights for December. For example, I was looking at flight in my area to Miami, and then I realized it was about $90 cheaper each way to book to Fort Lauderdale which is only 30 minute North. Oh, and flights to San Francisco are expensive from here, but a one way flight to Vegas is way cheaper, direct, and I could add the flight to San Francisco for $30 from Vegas. Thank you so much Drew! I think I may be older than you, but I want to be like you when I grow up.
Thank you so much for this video! I needed to book a flight from the Netherlands (Amsterdam) to Belarus (Minsk), the original price was €650 but i got it down to €450 with your tips which is a crazy amount of saved money haha
The incognito searching is absolutely correct... I have seen that after I search for a flight the price always goes up after a few days... I always felt that they are targeting just me..
Hey drew u forgot about one thing, for instance in europe and also from russia and israel u have a lot of charter tickets wich flights u wouldnt find on kayak or on google, for an instance like a charter flight from stockholm to the canaries u can get as low as 30usd or from Oslo to Bangkok as low as 100usd, keep in mind that charterflights is also possible for u to book and can get u great deals.
Very true -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I started working on my credit 2 years ago. I didn't know where to start I had no credit. I started looking up videos and found GUILDUNLOCKS.NET
Booking late at night works! Even full flights have seats open suddenly late at night. I saved over a hundred bucks multiple times by booking around 1am
Can you give me the idea how to book ticket in USA. Which airline is best? If I need to go new york from Dallas, how to book the ticket in reasonable price and like what is the process? I am new here, so have no idea about booking domestic flight .
Just me. I've found skyscanner consistently better than kayak or google for flight prices ( round trip). I also hold a membership to Scott's cheap flight. They just sent me a $550 south usa or california/chicago to India round trip 400-500$. Most europe or asia flights outta NY can be done for $550 or less often less if you wait for their promo deals and act very fast
one of tips.... book a ticket from Turkish airlines. and if layover is more then 12hours , you will get free hotel incl breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also you get free tour in Istanbul , ride for free to the city and back to hotel. amazing. right?:)
I have another way, just have a friend that's a flight attendant because whoever canceled their flight you can take their place but you cant switch seats
i always travel overland, i use flights only to travel in islands when there are no boat transportation unfortunately flights in islands are usually very expensive
Thanks for this Drew! I am the budget airline queen lol so this video was right up my alley. Thanks for touching on the topic of booking on Tuesday, when I hear people say that it kinda makes me cringe because its so not true. But like you said flying on a Tuesday or Wednesday are typically cheaper. But I def agree with you about being flexible. I say that on my blog ALLLLLLL the time. Thanks for this Drew I loved it! Especially the layover city/one leg tip. Thanks so much!
Can you give me the idea how to book ticket in USA. Which airline is best? If I need to go new york from Dallas, how to book the ticket in reasonable price and like what is the process? I am new here, so have no idea about booking domestic flight .
This is true it shows me 500 less then my normal browsing and tuesday was so cheap then today (yesterday) So i plan on booking on tuesday using incognito and using some small airports like LGA
Hi! Your tips were great! Just want to know though if I'm visiting just one country should i do the thing you did where you booked different tickets to and from the country instead of a round trip directly?
Or do some thing like this If you are flying to Pakistan from Canada and you wanna stay in Dubai boom emirates and just put from Torornto to Dubai and book a separate ticket like from Dubai to Multan or Karachi
If you want a cheap airline tickets go directly to airline website and book from there directly it's much cheaper plus booking from booking website has some disadvantages and charges. If you buy a ticket not directly from the airline ticket, some booking website they don't allow cancellation or refund, also they charge you fee for booking from their website $20-50. Because there are so many airlines you don't know which one is the cheapest. First go to booking website and search for your date preference tickets and then whatever 3 airline gives you the cheapest then go to that airlines website directly and book from there to find the cheapest ticket. I do this a lot for international flights. Also after done searching and if you want to search again make sure to clear cookies from your computer and close the internet and open and search again.
You didn't mention the budget airlines ( Ryan, easyJet etc) check in luggages ~ same price as flight tickets e.g. ~€25 for 20Kg within Europe, but 1standard back Pk allowed
That Chase Credit card you use requires a Chase bank account if im not mistaken, which can be afforded by people who are usually well off financially. Correct me if im wrong.
Actually flight prices vary dramatically even if you have set dates. Tuesday Wednesday is cheaper. 6 to 8 weeks out is best, at least on Australia to US flights. Also book to the internal US city to simplify baggage checking
Can you give me the idea how to book ticket in USA. Which airline is best? If I need to go new york from Dallas, how to book the ticket in reasonable price and like what is the process? I am new here, so have no idea about booking domestic flight .
Drew, you said to check out budget airlines destination airports.Yes it's true some low cost terminals are far out from the cities. Could you give us a reference to where can we check budget airport terminals, cost of travel to reach city centre and how to save. Is there an app you refer to. Thanks. Cornelius, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
OMFG TYYYYYSM!!! IV BEEN LOOKING FOR CHEAP TICKETS AND WHEN U SAID KAYAK I LITTERLY WANTED TO FAINT WHEN I SAW THE PRICESS!! IT WAS 20K PER PERSON in other websites AND WERE 4 PEPOLE SO 80K IS JUST 2 MUCH AND I FOUND KAYAK AND ALL 4 OF US IS 11K ! u litterly saved us god bless youuu
I really must reject that one can find the cheapest prices on portals like Kayak or google flights, it simply isn’t!!! Instead, it’s really straight forward, one of course find the cheapest tickets on the airline itself, why should another company who issues the tickets from the airline to sell it to you be cheaper? Of course, to compare the airlines which fly the specific route can be done by those search engines, but when you found the cheapest airline, then you should check the prices directly there. The reason why sometimes it can look cheaper to buy on those portals, in comparison to the airline itself is only the ticket class (within economy class there are about 8 different subclasses which differ among prices, flexibility and so on). So it could be the case, when you are late to buy a flight, that the airline itself has no longer the cheapest class to offer you, but search engines like Kayak might still have some. Only in those cases you can make a better deal there, but remember, you get what you pay for. When you for instance wanna change flight data’s you are worser off. Also another disadvantage is, that extras for instance seat reservations which might be a real game changer on long flights are way more expensive there. Last but not least important, for frequent travelers you often only can collect as much as possible miles booking on the airlines website. And additionally, when you really wanna get the cheapest price, then always pay via the airlines home currency.
And booking on a flight route with a layover the flights separately is the worsest tip I ever heard. That’s just the worst idea one could came in mind. When you book at the airline itself, the airline often offers you even a greater deal if you want to increase the layover when it is on the airlines hub. For instance Emirates or Etihad even pay you a 4 star hotel for 2 days when you wanna increase your layover in Dubai/ Doha.
There are some exceptions to the "Don't Fly on a Holiday" rule. In the U.S., The day before Thanksgiving is one of (if not, the) busiest travel days of the year, but Thanksgiving day itself sees very little traffic, since most people spend that day with their families. I find Skyscanner to plan your dates of travel as they so rates for every month. So if your dates are available, Skyscanner is a gem of an app

Great tips, Drew, thank you! I'd also add if you're flying budget airlines, try if possible to fly without check-in luggage. You'll save even more.
That’s true. Some airlines make you pay extra for checking in your bags
