  • Bardia Amirlak MD, FACS, Associate Professor and Medical Director at the University of Texas Department of Plastic Surgery demonstrating Anatomical Regional Targeted (ART) nerve blocks for pre operative screening and diagnosis, as well as treatment of chronic migraines and neuralgia of trigeminal nerves. The nerve blocks are often administered separately from the ART BOTOX injection: 15 cc mix of Lidocaine and Marcaine is used to inject the Auriculotemporal (AT) nerve in the area immediately above the TMJ and at the hair line where the nerve and artery cross (approximately 10 cm from the midline). Both the Zygomatico-Temporal Branch of the trigeminal nerve (ZTBTN) as well as Supra-orbital and Supra-trochlear nerves are injected as well.

Where are you located? You look absolutely amazing, I would fly to you tomorrow or whenever I could get an appt. I've had occipital nerve block injections about 10 times. My neurologist that was temporary put the shots in the sweet spots where it completely took my migrane pain away for 5-6wks. Haven't had much success with the other injections doing them in other locations. My first round of botox was disappointing 😥 next round this week, hoping for more relief this round.
So much of my daily pain is right where you did the injections on this man. You seem so knowledgeable, precise and confident. Only hope to find a Dr as good as you one day!

Did y’all see how with the last two injections his muscles relaxed, he just fell into a relaxed state apparently from relief of pain.

I'm having the supraorbital nerve block injection on friday. Why I decided that watching this was a good idea is beyond me... how long does this stave off the migraines for?... like is it even worth the trouble? I'm not looking forward to this whatsoever. Though I do appreciate the educational background. Thank you.

Wouldn't prp be better? Migraines seem to originate in the Trigeminal nerve area

It's the trigeminal vascular system that's where the inflammatory process begins and spreads
