I respectfully disagree, I believe confidence is something that is instilled in us by our parents and it's very hard to change later in life. The reason why I believe this to be true is because I've known many confident, incompetent men.
There is something intertwined about a fear of public speaking and a fear of approaching women. It's like a spotlight shines on me, my voice starts to shake and I feel an overwhelming anxiety. What's weird is if I ask, most people will say I seemed a little nervous, when to me it felt like i was about to shit my pants. I'm competent, im in good shape, i make 100,000 a year, i have all these things going, but it all goes out the window when i feel the spotlight. Practice hasn't helped either. I practice regurarly at meetings because I have to and I always get nervous when there's more than 5 people.
Same with approaching women. I'm not gonna stop trying and I do it, but the anxiety seems like it's always gonna be there. I'm 42.
My suggestion to nervous men is this: Accept the anxiety is coming and approach her anyway. At least if u fail u can go home knowing u tried. Its way better to go home knowing u struck out than knowing you were too afraid to step up to the plate. The only way to insure failure is to not try. That's a 100% chance of failure.

Pretty sure you taking the piss but if not the answer has been said numerous times that building physical muscle often helps with building internal confidence and strength because it's hard, you have to be disciplined and consistent. I don't have a lot of muscle in fact I'm pretty out of shape atm but the concept is not hard to understand. My internal strength comes as a result of tonnes of traumatic life events but the idea is that the habits you build making muscles carry over. You can get discipline and consistency and determination elsewhere however I have personally witnessed low confidence skinny geeky wimps/simps go gym crazy and then turn their whole life aroundin a good way. And the gym for most people is the easiest way to do it.
