set up my ai mesh 2 last month via ethernet backhaul using my main router rt-ac88u and two rt-ax55 as nodes. Buong bahay, covered, pati sa kabilang kalsada kita ang 5ghz and 2.4ghz signals. i'm never going back to traditional repeaters.

What are the pros/cons for setting up Node in AiMesh vs AP mode?
Specifically Ax11000(Primary router) and AX92U (Node)

Hi sir, they function almost the same, the advantage of aimesh is faster transition from one mesh node to another if you are roaming around the house, while in ap mode the device tends to hold to the ap node as long as there is wifi connection even it is one bar.
the cons for aimesh:
1. Im having issue with the configuration since i have 3 aimesh node, not sure with the models i have, maybe highend models wont encounter it.
2. in 5 months under used, my main Aimesh node encountered an issue, it didn't detect the other aimesh, im not sure if issue with my Blue Cave router. (i have to reconfigure it again)
3. there are instances that the transition from one node to another is not working, so i have to restart the node.
but if everything is working, it works great.. :)

hello po! i bought my asus router po because of your review thanks po sa content! ask ko lang po, currently working naman siya as intended almost plug and play lang pero nababasa ko sa iba kailangan pa raw po i bridged mode yung isp provided router. kailangan pa po ba i-enable talaga yung bridge mode para dun or keep ko na lang po yung config as is? thanks po!

for bridge mode depende sa user and if yung modem is capable of configurations like bridge mode.. kung okay po setup nyo kahit hindi kayo mag bridge mode.. one of the reason kaya nag bridge mode is for double nat issue and mostly affected umg mga console games like ps4, nintendo switch etc.. and another pala is ip conflict.. kung d ka naman po nagkaka issue, might aa well leave it as is po.. sa akin d ako naka bridge mode and everything is working okay naman po.. :)

hello po sir, tanong ko po kung pwedi pong palitan ng ibang router yung existing router (tenda) sa wifi namin? kagaya po ng tenda ac23? o kahit yang asus na ganyan po?
Hi Kevin, if yung router na mention mo is just a router pwede, pero pag ang sinasabi nyo po is the main modem-router na binigay ni internet service provider, negative po... since modem is the one required para maka access ka po ng internet.. :)
Boss... yung Huawei AX2 o AX3, merun bang ganto features tulad sa ASUS na ganto. yung Backhaul.. na Wired.. para sa Mesh Support.
Hi, pasensya na po hindi ako makapag comment on behald of ax2 or ax3, d ko pa kasi na test ung mga units na yan, may dumating akong ax3, pero d ko pa din naasikaso..

Hi Elle, any wifi range will be compatible to existing wifi network, since ang trabaho lang naman ni wifi range extender is saluhin ung available na signal from main and i rebroadcast po..
Hello, I like this wonderful tutorial and I proceeded to its application for two Asus routers namely the rt ax86u as Aimesh router and the rt ac68u as Aimesh node. Everything is working fine except that for some devices I cannot connect to 5ghz wifi. Can you tell me where the problem might be. Thank you
Hi, thank you..
there can be a lot of issue, 1 is the device capable of 5ghz connection, another will be firmware needs to be updated, another will be hardware issue or compatibility, there are a few devices that has this issue.
or first try to restart the mesh nodes.. :)
@@JKChavez Hello and thank you for your response. I have 2 smartphones and a laptop compatible with 5ghz wifi. both Asus routers are running the latest firmware. Before the Aimesh configuration, everything works fine. After the Aimesh configuration, my pc connects to the 5ghz wifi on the other hand, the two smartphones do not. I have resumed the Aimesh configuration several times but still the same problem. Note that the Aimesh node router is connected to the main Aimesh router in 5ghz wifi. I cannot know where the problem could come from. Thank you
do i need to add a secondary router to improve my 5G signal po sa second floor? may improvement naman po sya sa speed using 2.4ghz pero sa 5G same lang po sa ISP modem pa advice po sir thanks
May repeater ba na 15 meters range.
Hi po, some routers na have repeater functionality can achieve that 15 meters, pero one way to achieve those is, line of sight, less barriers po..
Ano pong marrecommend nyo na router. Currently on fibr, speed ranges from 280-300+mpbs. Ung talagang maaabot nya ung speed ng plan ko, ung walang tapon, na nasa around P2k range lang sana hehe
Hi maam, if ganyang price range, the tenda ac23 po, if you have spare money pa po, better get the asus ac59u v2 (for its mesh capability if plan mo mag upgrade pa in the future)

Sir baka pwede matanong kung ano prefer nyo padin na router 2k-2.5k siguro Tenda ac23 padin po ba or iba. Plan 45mbps lang sa converge pero lag padin sa ML eh. Thank youu more power

Hi John, same process lang po with other lan cable, cat 5/6/7/8 direct from main modem-router to wan port ng ASUS router;.

gusto ko po sana makita yung wireless(NOLANCABLE) aimesh kung same ping parin ba sa speedtest pero parang wlang ganun

Naka plan 2500 po ako, pero recently pumapalo ng 200mbps, not sure if inapply ng wife ko ung morning/midnight deals ni converge

Nag update kasi kaya enupdate ko then sabi reboot daw di ko nmn alam san banda ang reboot so ang ginawa ko yung on off.. Pag on ko wala na connection

Madali magoverheat mga asus router lalo na ngayun summer puro overheat at drop ng connection dahil sa overheating. Parang laruan lang mga asus network products mas ok mga tp link at ubiquiti
