The beautify woman is a spider demon, base on the cutsceen video released last year. The giant black turtle may not be the legendary guardian. According to the landscape, the sceen happens in the snow mountain which is called the New West (小西天), where the white dragon boss, the macaque boss, and the "birdman" keeper appeared in the 2021 trailer. My guess is the turtle creature may be disturbed when the dragon fell into the frozen lake and carried the monkey to the next map.
If I could give some criticism? Maybe its just how you are, but you see nervous? Stiff? Though you’re smiling a lot more which balances it out. If you’re interested in the Journey to The West, Sekiro has an ending similar to it as well and I think they did it pretty well. It is the most “hopeful” endings that I think we’ve have in a Souls game honestly.
That is a valid critique. It’s a combination I think. Every video before this I would type up a couple of pages up for a script and rehearse before recording. This was more impromptu, as we wanted to try something different, and our lifes are currently crazy busy this week. Also I’m naturally more of a dry guy and I’m also a little nervous as this is my first time doing it this way 😬. Thank you for your feedback. @@The-Game-Judge Id also just say maybe go over each other creatures you pointed out and do a little background on them. It would be a learning experience for you and your audience and maybe even your wife. Might make a longer video, but creature breakdowns are always interesting and fun to engage with. Why do you think people like cryptids so much? Hell, you’d have a field-day going over all the monster lore in the Souls games alone, you hit Chinese Mythology? Well we’ll probably be just as ancient by the time to covered a sizable amount of the creatures. Maybe a new creature every Sunday shorts? From your favorite games or new games youre trying? Monster Hunter is one of my favorite as well and has a ton of creatures.

That woman is actually a spider. There are a lot female Guais(highly developed animals that, through long period of hardwork and practices, manage to gain power from Daoism and Buddhism) in Chinese mythology, especially in the Journey to the west.
The journey to the west is a story to obtain wisdom from Buddhism in accent India, where it locates at the west of China. And the west in the title is the west heaven, where all those Buddhas live(not a geographical west, a religious concept like hell or heaven). The novel involves a lot about both Chinese traditional philosophy Daoism and wisdom from Buddhism. The game is not based on the journey, it uses that journey as a base context to develop a new story that fits the game, which the game developer has specifically mentioned in this trailer that the game is "inspired by the novel" instead of "based on the novel".

Thank you very very much for you and your wife to go more in depth with how the game goes so much in depth with the classic novel and mythology from that Chinese era, I especially like how she mentioned that Wukong can shrink the staff and put it in his ear because in the game it did indeed show that and with some of the coolest animations to go along with it. Definitely earned a sub from me, I can’t wait to get this game and play it and I will definitely be reacting to more of your videos covering the game to hear more of you both, impressions and all that.
