I dunno, I find it boring that the devs basically have to give every boss 2 or more phases. Bullshit abilities that can destroy half your comp in seconds and ridiculous stage/event mechanics that are so obnoxious to work around. All because they drove themselves and the games balance into a corner because of several overtuned operators. And the best part. Most of the time you can still just brute force every event with all the meta operators anyway lmao.
After I heard you advise against using Thorns, I just had to go "curiousity killed the cat - let's kill 10,000 more cats to find out why". Brought Thorns - E2L90, P2, S3M3 - and Andoain loses about 50% HP before he's out of range, and here's the fun part: Andoain does NOT send the wave out at any point during the process. My guess is that the wave has such a long cooldown that Thorns is actually unable to trigger it. Only when Andoain gets to Mon3tr does the wave trigger (pretty much on the first hit). ...Totally expecting Challenge Mode to have "wave has reduced cooldown" now, though.
I did this blind. While I managed to clear it on the first try, I was being a clown the entire stage. My operators kept dying. My Ch'en alter couldn't even use S3 once lol. I am glad the Auto-deploy works though. You could say that IS2 had taught me a lot about crisis management.
There is something wrong with Invis operators: You can let the boss scan them and turn them invis on - they wont get hit by attack itself. You can abuse Firewatch as a bait op and with module and m3 first skill she can easily dip 80% of hp while the boss is still in lower half where enemies wont make dodge-field that usefull. Make sure she doesnt kill him or leaves at least 20 percent for Autto-deploy randomness.
Well the info for the boss mechanics are helpful. The dodge rate is absurdly high too. I made the entire map shiny and it feels like I just turned on Light Mode.
@@SashaSlvt he drops those shiny cloudy shrouds at 50% (phase 1) and 75/50/25% (phase 2), which cause all enemies standing within them to take less and have 50% dodge against all phys/arts dmg.

@@silkysnow6793 This was the first time I read through the story cutscenes while playing, and I am so far confused as to what he actually did. From what I gather, Andoian, Lemuen, Mostima and Fiemetta were a team that worked in Laterania. Then for a simple cleanup mission, Fiemetta stayed behind. During that mission, Andoian did something and almost killed Lemuen. Mostima got angry and fired her weapon at Andoian, resulting in her fall for violating the Sancta commandment. When Fiemetta found them, Mostima had fallen, Lemuen was injured, and Andoian was gone. So Andoian in that sense is a bad guy. We do learn that he was motivated by a need to try and bring the living standard enjoyed by Sankta to everyone else. However, it’s not something doable it seems given that a huge reason for the Sankta to thrive the way they do and maintain peace within themselves has to do with their empathy aspect and other things unique to them.
^ Should note, Mostima being mad about Lemuen isn’t the whole reason she shot Andoain (though it was probably part of it). Mostima’s module reveals that Black Lock and White Key, the time distorting staffs she uses, used to be in possession of someone that Ando/Mostima/Lemuen stumbled upon during that specific mission.
